I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

College is good but lacks the infrastructure

The seniors have been really supportive and they have made sure that we as juniors do not make the mistakes
Fests are conducted very regularly and at anytime we can see that some fest are being prepared for in the college

Dislikes

NIT Raipur does not provide hostels to all of their students because of the lack of it.
The placements statistics are not at par with the level that one would expect from an NIT

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in this college and many reputed companies visit for recruitment. Students are eligible for recruitment from the 4th year itself and they can take part in internships from the 3rd year. Both core and non core companies visit the college for recruitment. Companies like CapGemini, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro and TCS visit and around 700 job offers were made in 2022 for the BTech candidates.Lowest salary offered in my course was 5 Lakhs and the Highest salary offered was around 50 Lakhs. Around more than 70% candidates were placed. Right now I haven't planned on what to do after my degree but I'm open to all possibilities.

Brutally honest review of my college

Likes

Good maintainence, decent infrastructure
supportive seniors , many opportunities provided
Highly qualified faculties from reputated institutions

Dislikes

No hostel for 80 percent students of the college
No proper grounds and equipments for all sports

Placement Experience:

Our placement of college is decent . Students get ppo from 7th sem In mining branch the highest package this year is 55lpa and the average is around 11lpa 70-80 percent students got placed As per my plans is considered i have not figured it out yet

Best college

Likes

College is located in the city. So you don't have to travel miles to get anything.
College environment is good. Even if it is small, it is full of green trees. The security system is really good
Food provided in college canteens, vachan and amul parlour is great

Dislikes

No large auditorium is there in the college. The only auditorium in the campus can accommodate hardly 150 students or less.
Hostel facility is not provided to everyone. One has to struggle to get good PGs and hostels outside and travel up and down

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students get eligible for campus placements. LinkedIn and many more renowned companies visit the campus. Few students even get PPOs even before graduating for more than 50lpa.highest package from my branch this year till now was 62lpa and average is more than 18lpa

Nit Raipur- best place for learning

Likes

Class room infrastructure and library of college
The cafe, laboratories and the garden of college
Placement assistance of college is very good

Dislikes

The hostel is kind of average place to live
Class timings are very strict that is on 8 am
Security gaurds are too much strict which i don't like

All about MTech (APPLIED GEOLOGY) in NIT RAIPUR

Field experience, well equipped labs, supportive staff
Infrastructure was also good with two play ground, gym etc
Clubs are very nice. Variety of clubs are available you can join according to your interest

Dislikes

Campus is good but availability of hostels for master student is not good only few student get the hostel
Our department is not connected directly with the placement cell which stops companies to come for the placement
Faculty to student ratio is low therefore one of the subject in every semester is thought by the teacher who is not a master of that subject

Placement Experience:

This year in jan -feb, four seniors from our college got a placement of 35.5 (36 lakh approx). They are placed in a software company which is in New York. They are from the CSE and IT departments. Also, students from the mechanical branch were placed with 12 Lakh per annum. Students from the chemical and metallurgical department got a good placement in this three to four year. NIT RAIPUR SECURED 5 place overall NIT’S in average placement this year. One off-campus placement is also secured a placement of 50 lakh per annum. So, these are some awesome placement records to date we are having in our college. But again for the applied geology department, the placement was not good among 19 students 2-3 students got placed this year.

Likes

Placements of the college, Infrastructure of buildings.
Nature of Professors and the college environment.

Hostel accommodation and Quality of mess food.

Placement Experience:

The placements of tech branches are outstanding. The average package for IT branch for year 2023 was near to 19 lacs and median was 14 lacs. Approx 87 percentage of students from IT branch were placed.

All you need to know about NIT Raipur

Likes

College is situated in the middle of city. So everything is easily available.
Placement opportunities are very very good.
Extra curriculum activities like yoga and value education are promoted.

Dislikes

Hostels are very less. Only very few students get hostel
Less attention to sports and ground is given.
Campus size is very less. It is of 100 acers only.

Placement Experience:

In terms of placement our college is very good. Our college has an average package of 10.42 lakhs. Talking about my own branch Information Technology, it has an average package of eighteen lakhs and median package of fifteen lakhs. More than hundred companies visit our college and Highest package is 55 lakhs.

As an alumnus of NIT Raipur, here are my views on this institution-

Faculty- The faculty lags behind in terms of NIT standards. It is slightly above average. This is because their teaching method is not very engaging. That being said, the teachers are helpful. They will advise you to engage in extracurriculars as well.

Student Interaction- The senior-junior interaction is good.

Despite IIT Raipur and AIIMS Raipur being in close proximity, interaction and

idea-sharing with them is negligible.

Industry Connect- It has a good industry connection for some core branches like mining, metallurgy, and civil.

Campus Life- The campus life isn’t good. But eventually, you’ll learn to cope with things and enjoy yourself. You’ll learn a lot during your degree from this campus.

Infrastructure- There is a lot of room for improvement in the infrastructure of this college.

Placement- Placement records are decent. Last year an average package of INR 10.1 LPA was recorded by the college. A total of 738 offers were made by 101 companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include- Infoedge, Siemens, Adobe, Barclays, Capgemini, FIAT, Reliance, TATA, SapientNitro, Oracle, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant and Wipro.

Overall, I would say that NIT Raipur is a bit lacking in many respects. However, you’ll get a good chance to rise over here because of low competition.
