DTU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I was born and raised in Delhi. Delhi Technological University (DTU) is a prestigious school in terms of ranking and placement records in my own home city. I was unable to bag a seat in IIT delhi for thermal engineering branch (MTech), therefore next choice for me was DTU offering a specialised masters in thermal sciences.

Brand profile of DTU. Proximity to house. No need to travel away from home during the pandemic. Excellent campus in terms of greenery and space. Faculty is excellent. Numerous opportunities to take part in other than regular competitions. Student driven culture.

I have plans to do a job, which I have already got from Infosys. I will do a framework and explore different fields and opportunities available. I will switch my job or work in the future. I am also planning to pursue some higher degree courses after completing my B.Tech from Information and technology.

From the final year students becomes eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies visit the college and provide good packages and offer. The highest package is around 25lpa and the average is around 10lpa. 90% of students get placed easily. My plans after getting degree is to build my career in frontend development.

The placement is average. It all depends on the capability and skills of a student. The students can do internships from 2nd or 3rd year but the final placements generally take place in the final year. In the previous year, 250+ companies had visited the campus giving 1400+ offers from all branches. Big Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, google, IBM, Siemens also hire students from the college. The highest package goes in crores but it's just for 1 or 2 students. So no need to focus on it.The average package is around 10 lakhs per year. The students having required skills and a good cgpa are more likely to get placements. After the degree, I will join a good company.

After 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. All big companies visit the university due to its high reputation like Google Facebook Amazon Samsung Delhi, Samsung Noida, Samsung Bangalore, hike, JP Morgan, bains, PSUs like DRDO, etc are also there. The highest offer was around 1 cr for international placement Average placement is 10-11 lakh/PA Most companies are open for all they are in search of talents. I will go for civil services examination after the graduation

Students become eligible for placements starting from the third semester. EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC are some prominent recruiters. The highest and average package offered by the college is. The placement percentage is.

For job placement, we are eligible from semester 5. For internship, students are eligible from semester 2. Many of my friends are doing MBA after graduation. 2 of them are doing their graduation from IIM.

Placement sessions start in the fourth year of graduation, while the internship placement session starts in the third year. The average package throughout the Btech batch was over INR 12lac per annum, while for my branch (Mechanical), it was over INR 8lacs per annum. Major tech giants like Facebook, Google, Amazon came to the campus, while in the Non-Tech field, the big 3 companies, viz Bain, McKinsey, BCG along with other equally well-reputed companies came for placements as well. Around 70-80% of students who applied for placements got placed.

DTU provides very good placements for tech students. opportunities for core students is also there but they are less as compared to tech students.Every year a very large number of students gets placements
