About The SVNIT

Likes

The classroom are air conditioning and very large.
The ground of the college is very large.and the many sports are playing easily
The faculty member are excellent and helpful nature.

Dislikes

In the rainy season. The humidity is very high.
The nirf ranking is very down.it is 57 it is very low for this type of University.
The light cutout is a very big problem. Some the electricity is not present in the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is very good. the highest placement is 50 lac CTC and the average package is 10 lac CTC. The 3rd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Many companies are visited like PW, TCS, and many more.80 percent of students are getting a placement and others go for further studies. My plan is to get a placement after my degree.

Amazing College life and learning

Likes

Library is the best thing we have in our college.
Clubs:- We have best clubs in our college for overall development of students.
Experienced faculties:- we have best faculty for all dept.

Dislikes

Sports facility should be improved. No. Of courts should be increased
Intime should not be there for students.
Infrastructure is average with lot's of construction work going on.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. No. of companies visits our campuses such as Microsoft, amazon, tata, mg motors, john deere, Mercedez, and many more. Almost 80% of students get placed and others opt for higher studies. The highest package offer is 44lpa for the CSE branch while 19lpa was offered to the MECH branch in the year 2023. I am looking forward to getting placed in psu in college placements.

Likes

Campus is to good ,and well maintained ,admission processes is very attractive
Teaching faculty is very knowledgeable and they put our 100%
Hostels of our college is well maintained and looking like hotels

Dislikes

There is no such well maintained sport graunds
College roads are damaged but they working on it
College rule are very tuf to handle,according to students

Placement Experience:

There 95% of students are placed from the electronics branch. And 98% from the CS branch. The average package for CS is about 20 lac. And for the ECE branch is about 17lac. The highest package of CS is 1 crore. And of ECE is 80lac.

Is SVNIT worth joining

The campus location is in the middle of the city and its amazing
Library is one of the best in any colleges
Everything is just very near from the college like malls shops etc

Dislikes

Sports facilities are not that good and cricket ground is not well maintained
1st year food in mess is below average .

Placement Experience:

After the 6th-semester students do internships and got placed in the last semester. Various companies like Google, Amazon, tata, reliance, Infosys, Wipro, Byjus, etc. come here. This year's highest package has been 46 lakh by Amazon and Google and the average is 11 lakh approx. The placement percentage is 83 percent. I plan to do higher studies after graduation.

Likes

Library is the best part of SVNIT Surat .
Second best is there new hostels and the SAC ground
Obiviously last but not the least my department

Dislikes

New CRC building as it got closed down due to bad structure
Small campus because they would have easily enough many to survive
Hostels are not upto the marks because somewhere there is daamage

Placement Experience:

There is good placement in college for every departments in 7th semester one become eligible for campus placements . Amazon , Adobe, Infosys , etc are the company which recruit the students from the college. Highest package of SVNIT is 49.96 from JP Morgan and average placement is 14.81. approx 90% from every departments get placed. My plan is to get degree and help my parents

My experience

Likes

Library: I liked most about svnit is its library
Its Cultural fest. I likef Its tech fest and cultural fest
Its cricket tournament: A tournament called MMNCT which helds every year.

Dislikes

Roads are not good quality.I disliked it
Some hostel's are bit old so there are many problems that is i disliked.
Some department buildings are also old that is i also disliked

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum of svnit is good.I have not choosen this course, it get this based on my rank.Faculty is good and qualified.Due to covid admission process was late so 1st is bit fast.So thats why term exams are at 1 month gap.

Likes

The central library . Which best thing in svnit
It is situated in surat city . I personally love this city.
The culture in svnit's student is very good.

Dislikes

The mess food in hostel can be better than actual we are getting.
The restriction by authority for intime in hostel
The university is actually getting renovate from the time of the covid.

Placement Experience:

I am talking about my branch , The placement in chemical brach is very good . The percentage of getting placement is 92% and the avarage package is 8-9 LPA which will increase in this year for sure . The highest package in our branch is 19 LPA

Honest Review from a first year in svnit

Likes

Classes and Faculty were good for my class
Basketball,volleyball and lawn tennis facilites

Dislikes

only 2 badminton courts and poor road facilites
SAC, canteen, library remains close on sundays and holidays

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placments in 4th year and are eligible for internships from 3rd year.Companies like VISA, Warner Bros discovery,Texas instruments, mathworks , EIL, BPCL, Vedanta, Nvidia, AMD, Air products, John deree etc visited campus for batch 2022-2023. Avg package for CSE-18.26 lpa Mech-9.32 lpa ECE-14.28 lpa Electrical-11.13 lpa Civil-6.32 lpa Chemical-9.58 lpa No of sudents registered for placements in 2022-23 was 795 out of which 652 were placed.

Sparking exposure to real world project

I would like to mention about the placement is pretty decent and almost the company tries to have unbiased way od conducting the placement procedure.
I should be grateful to have learning from phd holder faculties who tries to full essential knowledge to us.
Fest conducted are also important factor for refreshing our mind.

Placement Experience:

Our college provides internship opportunities during the summer vacation after the 6th semester. The company starts visiting at the end of the 4th semester. And for the final placement company once again visit for a full-time opportunity. The average salary offered is around 10 LPA in Computer Science.

Good experience

Likes

College campus is very large & Green with so many trees.
Seniors are very supprtive & we have good communication with them.
college placement is very good & it increase every year.

Dislikes

Mess & canteen food is average not good and canteen is small.
Some buildings of hostels become very old & dirty. Don't have proper maintenance.

Placement Experience:

from 7th sem student eligible for placement. Amazon, Microsoft, MasterCard, jobs, etc. average of 20 student hired every company. highest package: 44 lpa by Amazon, average package: 14 lpa get a job in a good company.

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
