A memorable and Good Career developing college.

Likes

Hostel life is very good and memorable. You enjoy a lot with friends
The campus is in City centre, so we can roam around and explore in free time. Not much to worry about everyday needs.
Got a lot of Events and Fests, developing Extracurricular skills.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good, especially for Sports.

Placement Experience:

Placements of the college are good, with an average of around 14.18 LPA in 2022. Core placements in Chemical Engineering were also good with the highest one bagging around 19 LPA and an average of around 9 LPA.

Svnit Review what all you need to know

Likes

Hostel facility is good. Also in budget.
Connectivity with outside world. Can get all services in walking distance.
Placements is quite good. Reputed MNCs come here and offers full time roles here.

Dislikes

Mess food is not good. You'll not get anything more than cabbage.
Less funds are provided to student affairs.
Faculty is quite average. Relies more on slides.

Placement Experience:

In the 7th sem companies start coming to campus for full-time roles and in third-year companies come for internships. Almost every student in circuit branches gets offers. The computer science students' placement ratio is about 99%.

SVNIT "place to grow"

Their environment of svnit is very good, motivating and inspiring

Dislikes

The ground is not very good. There are many places in campus which is waste and may be utilised in some useful activities

Placement Experience:

students are eligible for campus selection in the 7th semester. Many well-known companies are here for recruitment like ONGC, amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, tata, BARK, etc. and they made very good offers of 8 to 10 LPA on average. placement percentage of SVNIT is very good i.e. around 90%. My plan is to get into campus placement and after that a startup.

Placement of our campus is good, like more than 80 percent student are getting placement and get a well settled job.
Internship is good like from 3 rd yr students starts doing intership to enchance their skills by not only by mentally but by physically toooo
College is also involved in Extra curricular activities in which students are getting chance to show their other talents other than getting involved in studies.

Dislikes

Playground is not in good condition,like there is not any specific ground where we can play in better way. We are provided to play indoor game and the required things are also provided but in case of outdoor gam, things are not proper enough
Unavailability of auditorium is most unliked thing for me.as every collage are organizing events and performing that event proper stage should be there.so there is lack of proper auditorium in our collage
Roads are not enough good like it can be quite better

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester means from 3rd-year placements starts. L&T, KEC international, Adani Power LTD, Reliance, Infosys, Intellect, and Adani come for placement. The highest is 40 lakhs per annum according to the previous year. Average: 14 lakh per annum, 80% of students are getting placement from svnit each year.

from the sixth semester, students become eligible for placements. the company's sites are oracle, amazon, bpcl, Qualcomm, etc. the highest package in the chemical branch is 18.45 LPA whereas the lowest is 6 LPA 90 percent of students got placed in the chemical branch. after getting a degree looking for a gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite vast and stretched out. It becomes difficult in the starting 2 semesters but later on, with only the core subjects and maths, it becomes easy. Would like the same to happen to me since I am currently facing it since I'm in the first semester. Faculty members are quite helpful and teach well.

Likes

the campus is at center of surat city
Library at the campus is best.
the contests and hackathons are best part of clubs.

Dislikes

The restrictions to 1st year students.
some faculty are bad.
my department is strict in every academic case , bounding us to give more time to course.

Placement Experience:

the average package offered for b.tech students was 10.5 lakhs. apart from this, the highest package offered during SVNIT b.tech placements was from cse and ece dept. of 40.5 LPA. almost 80 percent of students were placed last year.

Honest Review about SVNIT

Placement Experience:

After completing the third year of the course i.e the 6th semester, the student is eligible for sitting in the placement-related exams and the interviews. Awesome companies like Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft, airtel, Bharat Petroleum, J.P.morgan, TATA, Intel, Godrej and many big companies visited the campus for the placements. The highest package of SVNIT is 49.5 LPA and the average package is 8 to 10 LPA. 79% of students are placed in SVNIT. My plans after completing my degree are to take placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My branch is an electrical engineering and I choose this branch because of my interest in circuital subjects. Our department provides excellent facilities. The students to teacher ratio are 60:1 which is nice and the officers are the best in their field. The term exams are conducted timely and for me, it was not much difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

The placement count is very good. In my college they target 70% placement should be done but not all students are interested in taking placements. Some have plans to go outside India for doing master's and some are willing to do MBA

My review of SVNIT is a mixed one. It is a good choice in almost every aspect other than sports.

For sports enthusiasts, SVNIT is not the right choice. The condition of sports facilities at our college is not good. The sports grounds are not in a good shape. The cricket/football ground becomes a grassland from July to December.

The indoor badminton courts, which are two in number, are immensely insufficient to cater to around 4000 students. Each one has to wait a long time for their turn, and is given around 10 minutes to play the sport. Such a huge number of students can not access the badminton courts for sufficient durations. MMNCT is the best sports event of the year. It is an inter-year cricket tournament that takes place at night. The gym is well designed and has all the modern equipment.

Many classes are boring. But a lot of the professors, especially in the Civil department, teach really well. The marking system is very transparent, and after 15-30 days post the exams, answer sheets are made available for students to have a look. The classrooms are also very school-like in appearance. The rules are lenient, and most teachers are satisfied with a 60% student attendance.

The location is quite good, and malls, theaters, etc. are easily accessible. The campus is located in a posh area of Surat. Places like Mumbai, Daman, etc. are easily accessible for getaways. The placements are top notch, the clubs are plenty and quite decent. The mess food is quite good as well.

Unless you are very serious about getting the best sports facilities, SVNIT is a good college. But for sports facilities, I would recommend you try for MNIT Jaipur.
