NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly . Even the cse students are struggling to get good placements here and also the arrival of companies has also been shortened.

Placements are okay, if you want to go into core, you must have good cgpa, if you want to go into IT sector, you have to develop skills and participate in hackathon and then too you have to maintain a decent cg

The mechanical department is very interesting department.there are very interesting subjects in it.By studing the curriculum seriously you can easily get good rank in gate and other competitive exams .File making should be stopped by the department.In our institute per semester 2 exams are conducted mid sem and end sem and both are good in difficulty manner

I am chirag from rajasthan and pursuing btech im chemical engineering from nit hamirpur. I like to play cricket badminton table tennis etc. I am passionate about coding and currently i am learning web development

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements name of the companies are hcl the avg package is 6.5 lpa highest is 15 lpa I don't know exact but 60 percent peoples get placed my plans after degree is gate examination and placement too

College provide good placement facilities. students get avg package of 11 lpa.And the highest package is upto 1.5cr. some amazing product base and service a base company also come for good roles like sde,data analyst, consultant, embedded system design engineer, frontend and backend developer, app developer etc. Some amazing company like Amazon microo also came for on campus placements .And many students are apply for off campus jobs and got very good package. But at the same time there are very few core companies for civil engineering study and electrical engineering students.

Btech studens in their 7th semester and Dual degree students in their 9th semester are eligible for sitting in placement drive. Various tech companies like amazon, flipkart, nvidia, google and other major companies come here every year for placements. Highest packages are around 5000000 - 6000000 rupees and avg packages are around 1200000 - 1500000 rupees. Nearly 60 - 70 percent students get placed every year and others who dont get placed try for offcampus placements.

6th to 8th sem students are allowed for placements.. Various companies like delloite oracale Qualcomm Honda nvedia comes to college for placements.. Almost 70-80 percent students gets placed.. Highest package 1crore plus Average package is 12 lakh per annum

My course is Mechanical Engineering and as it seems what importance the subjects must hold in upcoming years all the subjects are quite comprehensive and relevant to the knowledge a mechanical engineer needs to acquire a good skillset. Exams are held 2 times-one mid-semester and the other one end-semester ending the semester.

The curriculum is defined to set students right for the corporate world, as the class timings are from 9-5 and Saturdays and Sundays are off. There are two exams held each semester end-semester and mid-semester.
