The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Review of the century

Likes

The Campus of the collage is a sight to behold
The various activities held in the collage are very fun

Dislikes

The budget of our technical fest is very low
Holidays are scarce and given less frequently

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very interested in the field of nanotechnology and in this collage there are various subjects that helps you in the field. The courses helps prepare for real world situations with ample of practical knowledge.

hostel food is not that good but its healthy.
not in particular, i like here, good college.
gender ratio is not that good, can be improved.

courses here are excellent and give you a practical real life aspects to see things and you can learn many different domains here and enhance your skills, and get a good hold on a well paid job and good life.

The NIT Hamirpur

Likes

I really like the campus life of NIT Hamirpur.
I like the weather and the club culture here.
I also like that there is no ragging that is held by seniors.

Dislikes

I don't like the food in my hostel as it is really bad.
The in timing of hostels is also wha I do not like.
There is also water scarcity sometimes in my hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum prepares us well for the corporate world as the class timings are from 9-5 and saturdays nd Sunday's are usually off.The area of improvement can be done in the teaching methods of the teachers.

Likes

The environment of the campus and good seniors
The sports facilities and the fests we celebrate
The ground and sports facilities offered by the hostel

Dislikes

The mess food and the quality of food served
The limited amount of internet facility available
Poor connectivity of college with main cities .

Placement Experience:

The placement stats are generally increasing every year. The computer science branch has the highest placements followed by electronic communications branch . The lower braches generally do not get high packages .

Know about my college

Likes

Beatifull Nature - The campus lies in the lap of nature. You can see the dauladhar mountain range from the campus which looks so stunning.
Nice people - People are very nice here.
Infrastructure- the college is spread in over 300 acres. Each department has its own building.

Dislikes

No cycles - cycles are not allowed inside campus
Market location - market location is gar away from the hostel around 5km.
Water supply- During monsoon there are alot of problem in hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placement of college are good. Every year 80- 85% students placed overall. All renowned companies visit college every year like L&T, Amazon, fcon, hero etc. Highest Package was from the computer science branch of 1.2 cr. After getting degree I have plan of sitting in placement rounds.

National Institute Of Technology, Hamirpur - Best College for Architecture in Himachal Pradesh

Likes

Helpful Staff of the college enhances the knowledge.
Affordable than other private colleges of the state.
Placements of the college are great. They also provide good internships.

Dislikes

The Health Centre of the College must be equipped with more facilities.
Mess food is not good to go (as compared to mess food of other national institutes)
No transportation facility inside the campus and as the area of campus is large, it becomes difficult to access the departments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture Course is impressive but it requires lot of hardwork and consistency. A lot of drawings along with sheets have to be made along with Computer Software work. Overall architecture course enhances creativity skill of the student

Life in NIT Hamirpur

Likes

I liked the campus very much and its infrastructure also.
The faculty is really supporting and helps students with their doubts.
The placement in my college are really good.

Dislikes

I dislike the weather here because of sudden changes.
Hostel food is not really that good and students often eat outside.
I also didn't liked the classrooms as the seats are not comfortable.

I had a personal interest in engineering thatswhy i opted it. It pretty much prepares us for the corporate world as the class timings are from 9-5, and saturdays and sundays are off. we have two exams in each semester.

Pros and cons of NITH

Likes

Academics: The academics of thyroid college are good and all teachers are hard working.
Club activities: they hello in improving the social aspects of our life
Sports facilities: we can play any type of games here in the college.

Dislikes

Mess food in hostel is not good and it's also not that much healthy
The facilities are not that much in our hostels according to the fees.
The room allotment system of college is not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. I chose this course keeping in mind that in my state Himachal Pradesh, there are many vacancies for the post of SDO in electrical department. So It will be easier for me to get a government job after completing my degree, also if I do work on my soft skills I can also apply for jobs in private companies. Hence I'll be having the privilege of both government job and also of private job.

The campus, the greenery of campus and its architecture.
The environment in campus and its connectivity to tourism places.
The faculty of college and the way they teach students.

Dislikes

No mode of transport like rickshaws inside the college
Less availability of shops inside the campus to buy things and personal stuff.
There is no city life in the college which kills college feels

Course curricullum is quite good. As per my course, the subjects are very interesting. The core electronics subjects are very very interesting. The electronics and communication branch provides with useful subjects
