Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

NIT SRINAGAR BEAUTY

Nature here make the student feel stress free from many of the tension we have and the facility provided here is the best one i feel.
Games facility and the ground for the games here us very good which allows us to involve in mang other curriculum activities.
Food provided here is also very good and keeps us healthy and the friends i got gere in the college are very good

Dislikes

Construction work which is going on continuously makes us feel disconfort here and makes us feel bad
Some of un developed areas need to be devolped rapidly and the every facility for the student must be given
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which i am going through is very good and the faculty is also very good in terms of experience and understanding. We also go through the practical knowledge and therotucal ones which plays a main role in improving our knowledge and reach our goals because every one here is with some intent and different mindsets and goals. The frequency of exams in our college is 5months i. E for the end term examination.

The faculty and the job oriented course provided by the college to nourish skills. The helpful nature of teachers and their easy availability helps to guide ourselves to our goals.
The students clubs and their easily approachability provides a easy to go environment along with studies.
The weekend offs on saturday and sunday provides a better time management for other activities.

Dislikes

The class hours which starts from 9 am and goes till 5 pm which provides a busy hectic schedule for the students for the whole week.
Internet connectivity is very weak and some days its even not available and room wifi does not works well.
Extreme cold during winters causes many difficulties in daily routine and conducting morning classes.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. The number of companies visited is more than 100 and placed high number of students. Companies include IOCL, ONGC, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, TATA MOTORS, MARUTI SUZUKI, L&T, BPCL, HPCL, GAIL etc. Highest package was 42 lakhs per annum as per the previous year, and the average package was about 12 lakh. Around 80% of students got placed during on-campus placements. I will definitely appear for the on-campus placements offers.

The on thing that i like the most about this college is Beautiful campuse
The most second thing i like about this college is teacher and faculty are very good and supportive in nature and seniors are also very helpful .
You get very good sport facilities and club facilities in this college in which you can increase your skill at different field and you can make your future in that field too .

Dislikes

At this campus you can not get any Summer vacation . And food quality of mess is not quite good as compared to another IITs and NITs .
At this campus winter also caused problems to those students who dont like winter season this is a major problem
Sometimes here protest is also take place outside of the campus .

Placement are quite good at this institute as last year was highest-paid package was 42 LPA for the student of computer science engineering . Average placement package of all the top Four branches is almost more than 10 LPA . In my department that is Civil engineering , placement in this department is also very good as civil engineering in our college one of the best branch of this institute.

Campus of this college Is very awesome . it is located near Dal lake so you can get a very beautiful look at morning as well as at evening .
Sports facilities of this college is very good and awesome . as Two new Basketball court are inaugurated last year and Badminton court and new football ground are inaugurated .
Teacher and faculty are very good and cooperative .

Dislikes

Laboratories classes are taken by PhD scholar are taken by Mtceh students that I dnt like personally.
Sometimes Out of college some protest are takes place that is most disgusting thing
Over all college is good at you can get at lower rank .

Placement Experience:

At NIT Srinagar placement are quite good as last year the highest placement was 42 lakh per annum fir the students of Computer science engineering . average if CSE brach was 15 Lkah per annum and For the Information technology branch it was approximately 14 lakh per anum fir The Electronic and communication engineering it was 13 lakh per annum for the Electrical engineering it was about 11 lakh per annum . but the placement of lower brach is ok ok

The diversity of people it contains.you interact with a lot of different energy minds
Friendly seniors..they help you with everything from remding you a pirated course to a college fight
Faculty is average .It depends on you how your output will be

Dislikes

Social hierarchy. Mostly everone has got a got group and everbody think they are the superior ones
Lights. Sometimes due to bad weather lights r cut for days
Some teachers favour local students in terms of marks and guidance

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nit srinagar has got a decent package structure and that was my main motivation and hence i opted for branch in the war of branch vs clg. The campus is decent with an area of 65 acres.Some infrastructural work is still going on but it's overall good.computer science course is always a good option to go for however i would suggest dont depend on college much

college infrastructure and the weather here.
teaching and exposure, each branch has its own speciality
each branch has its own importance and standards

Dislikes

the extreme weather at some time because its extremely cold
india pakistan border sometimes the attacks cause academic disturbance
sensitive area filled with around sensitive people outside of nit.

Placement Experience:

Placements on campus are pretty good starting from 8lpa to 30lpa and even higher for branches like civil and chemical,metallurgy etc. But off campus its totaslly dependent on the skills you possess and the tag of nit only helps you get more reach and importance among those of other college students.

CAMPUS:- if you love the nature and want to spend your four years of college in lap of nature then you must come.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE:- the details institute maintains high standards and offers a wide range of UG,PG, and doctoral programs in engineering.
Faculty expertise:- my college is known for its experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields.

Dislikes

Connectivity and accessibility:- the geographical location of my college,while scenic may pose challenges in terms of accessibility and connectivity.
Security concern:-given the geopolitical situation, in the region, security concern may be factor for some students and their families.
Cultural adaptation:- the cultural diversity in my college be enriching, but it may also possess challenge for students from different parts of country.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, previous year one student got highest package of 52 lakh . Average of package of my college is around 7-8 lakh per annum. If I talk about my branch metallurgy the highest package in this branch is 13 lakh per annum and average is around 7.5lakh per annum

Weather is extremely cold over here survival is difficult
Mess food is average and sometimes food not cooked properly
Kashmiri and non kashmiri discrimination

After 6 semester placement starts overall it placement raito is fine around 70% got placed every year in chemical branch. Highest package of college was 47 lakhs in 2023 by oracle Average was 12 lacs My plans are for higher studies

It is a beautiful campus and whether are good always.
Campus size is quite small so you can reach hostel to classroom in 4-5 minutes.

Dislikes

Hard to reach there but after USBRL it will be fixed

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester students are eligible to get placed. companies like Infosys,TCS visit campus regularly highest package was 42 lakh and avetage placement of college is 8 lakh.approx 75 %student got placed in civil branch and 130 % in CS branch.

NIT srinagar in Nutshell.

Likes

I liked the pretty big campus. Beautiful scenes of dal lake Srinagar (Kashmir) just from my hostel room.
If you have a good academic performance you can have a chance to grab a pretty more than average package.
Pretty much everything here is new to explore, more for a student who comes just after his/her 12th class. He/she gets to know a lot of things about life.

Dislikes

(RACISM) Racism for other state students amongst local students.
Mess food is not great, it is just like you can survive. Nothing much more than that. I won't say anything
Old infrastructure, like roads are not great inside college campus, you can see high voltage wires hanging on poles in whole campus.

Placement Experience:

College has good placement rates. Although the lower branch students suffer a bit in having a placement. Some of the students don't get the placement at all due to poor academic performance and having low cgpa.
