Likes

Scholarships are available at good scores in jee mains but there are also internal scholarships within semesters if you score good in one semester you can get scholarship financial assistance was also good
Teachers are good and they teach well and helping us to improve
The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like amazon take students from the university.

Dislikes

The placements of this campus are very bad considering it's a government funded technical institution and the ranks for this college are high. the package should be atleast 6-7 lpa average for a cse student.
One more thing i hate here is that sports is not good here
Mess food is horrible here. the worst thing about the hostel life is mess food here.

SMVDU(SHRI MATA VAISHNO DEVI UNIVERSITY) review on all aspects.

Likes

The campus is big and has good infrastructure. It also has good labs and technical workshops. University also provides assistance to students who wand to be entrepreneur.
The atmosphere is very nice and being on mountain is beautiful.
The university allow students to participate in activities like photography, dramas, dance, music, games which is often ignored elsewhere

Dislikes

The journey to college is quite tough. You have to wait for long to get public transport to station or pay more to private services
The hostel is quite far from campus and must be walked. The number of canteen or shops is pretty low in here.
The assignment are most tiring and mostly comes near exams. It gets tiring for students to write the assignments.

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th and 7th semester apply for campus placements. Highest package was of 40 lakhs while the avg package if 4.5 lakhs. Major recruiter are Infosys ltd, wirpo, TCS, cognizant and more. In year 2022-2023, the number of students who got placed were above 400. Also off campus jobs are pretty high. I plan to work hard for a campus placement and start after ending college.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement of college is good i can't say that the placements are so high and ubelievable . But there are placements for the students which study ata a regular basis and have a good cgp. My plans after getting the degree is to gfind a valid resonable and good job.

The thing I am most fond of is the calm and soothing nature around the campus as well as the mesmerizing view of Vaishno Devi.
There's sufficient equipment with regard to labs as well as the option to play any sport you like is also nice.
Most of the teachers are actually really helpful.

Dislikes

There is a lot of mismanagement in certain areas.
The quality of mess food becomes intolerable.
The infrastructure in certain classes can be improved.

Placement Experience:

The highest package bagged by a student was of 23 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed is also good at about 75 percent. Many companies come to visit the college for placements. These companies include Infosys, Tata, Jio, TCS, HCl, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group, Axis Bank are a few names among many.

The campus is very beautiful just like heaven.
Students can play almost every sport here.
Teacher here are very motivating and helpful.

Dislikes

Twice/thrice in a month, electricity cut off due to some reason.
Girls are not allowed to leave his hostel after 8 pm
Boys are not allowed to leave his hostel after 12 pm in night

Placement Experience:

Placement here is very good.around 95% of the students get placed here. If you have skill then you can get package upto 50 lakh. HIGHEST PLACEMENT HERE FOR THIS YEAR IS AROUND 22 LAKHS(ON CAMPUS) AND 44 LAKHS OFF CAMPUS.

Reputation of smvdu

Likes

Every year on annual day governor becomes the chief guest and comes to matrika auditorium.
Environment is very good and soothing. Education is also so good
Sport ground are also like international stadiums.

Dislikes

They didn't allow us to use social media on their wifi network.
They didn't allow personal vehicles inside campus.
Market is far away from university campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. The frequency and timing of exams along with my perspective was not too much difficult. 2.Teaching methods are so good and all the professors are expert in their respective fields. 3. My father influenced me to choose this course

Nature around campus. Environment is so peacefull
Social aspects and students are good and are helpfull
Place where campus is situated is good and peaceful.

Dislikes

Transportation is bad as you can avail hostel but Transportation lacks.
As it is government controlled so processing speed of college is slow.
Weather is bad thus can change anytime and is mostly cold

The course is Slightly difficult but curriculum is Good and fair. As we have so many subjects to study so it makes difficult gor us to prepare for exams. Teachers are well and good in teaching as they use the simplest and easiest method to learn and understand.

SMVDU from my eye.

Likes

I liked the Campus environment, vibe and infrastructure.
Faculty is pretty good. All the teachers and professors are very helpful.
The most thing I liked and you will not regret is hostel Life.

Dislikes

There is no night life around or in the university
Students were not allowed to leave the gate , they have to sign a gatepass which requires warden and caretakers sign , sometimes it will feel so annoying.
The unity among the students is not so good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty decent. The placement coordinators ensure that most of the students should get placed. They bring many companies on campus with an average of 5 LPA. They also mail you about different internships and employment opportunities, so you have to cbe up to date with the mails.

University Blessed By Mata Vaishno

Likes

Beautiful view in campus, Mata Vaishno Devi bhawan are the eye catching features.
Good Curriculum, nice faculty and great learning
Devotional and Teachings of universal human values

Dislikes

Lack of proper sports facilities and courts
Less numbers fests and proper funding for fests

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester you will be eligible for campus placements and companies like orange, wipro , Infosys etc visit this campus every year for placement drives. Highest Package this year was 24 lpa and mean was 10-15 .

Campus:- Some hostels are good and sone hostels are not good
Infrastructure:- the infrastructure of my university is good.
Teachers:- Some teachers are very good and sone are average

Dislikes

Mess :- the food of mess is not good and untasty
Infrastructure:- some departments of my university are very small
Techers:- some teachers in our university don't know how to teach

Placement Experience:

The sixth semester students become eligible for campus placements. I am from First semester so that i have no idea about placements info. The highest package from our university is 20 lakh and minimum package is 3 lakh. 30 to 40 percentage of students gets placements. My plan after getting this degree is opening a startup or business.

Collage life

Likes

Infrastructure of the collage is good, and the view is awesome
The crowd in this collage is good and students are really helpful to each other
Teachers are good and they teach well and helping us to improve

Dislikes

Some teachers who doesn’t teach well, but still its good
College administration is well but they don’t resolve every issue

Teachers are very good and they helps us to better understand the business ethics and how to perform well in the real world outside, subjects are difficult but it was for us to improve, i am from a business family so the course i have choosed has provided me opportunity to expand my business
