I LIKE THE FACULTY MEMBERS , THEY ARE SUPPORTIVE AS WELL AS STRICT SO THEY KEEP US MOTIVATED FOR THE COURSES.
PLACEMENTS ARE THE MOST APPEALING THING IN NIT JSR. AVG PACKAGE IS LIKE AROUND 16 LPA.
CLUBS AND SOCIETIES PRESENT IN THE COLLEGE GIVES US MORE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUES, TIME MANAGEMENTETC.

Dislikes

SOMETIME I FEEL ABOUT THE INFRA. THAT IS NOT TOO GOOD BUT IT HAVE TO KEEP IMPROVING AND COLLEGE IS LOOKING ON THIS ISSUE.
SOMETIMES FACULTIES BECOME STRICT THUS STUDENT'S MENTAL HEALTH CAN AFFECT BY THEIR STRICTNESS.
LIBRARY IS NOT AVAILIBLE 24*7 . THEY ARE ONLY FOR MON - SAT. SO THIS THING CAN BE SOLVE IN FUTURE.

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for placements. Amazon, Atlassian, hsbc, oracle, Flipkart, tata steel, tata motors, ashok layland, Byju's, fiitjee like giant companies approached the institute for placements. 98.17% placement rate in 2k22 with the average package 16 lpa.

I like the most in nit is here's placement
Seniors junior bonding of students u can see here
Our academic building structure is fascinated with ac and stares classroom

Dislikes

Campus is very small not provided any sitting facilities
They had not provided any sitting area for parents or student
Professors are very strict , u can't get easily u have to do lots of hard work for getting 1 marks

Placement Experience:

From 7 th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Last year 400+ companies visited our college. Last year's highest package was 80 lpa and the average package is 14.72. Mostly 100% of placement is done in NIT Jamshedpur. Sometimes it goes 98% but almost all students get placed.

After 7 semester campus placements are running almost all big giants come to our institute ,almost 98.7% students are placed from our college and the average package is upto 1400000 and highest is 72.5 lakhs and i wanted to be after 4 year in big tech giants

My experience in NIT jamshedpur.

Likes

The sports culture is what I liked most.
Then the hostel timing are flexible for boys.
The night canteen which have different delicious food.

Dislikes

The market place is far from our college.
The city is full of industris so Aqi is high.

Placement Experience:

The best part about our college is that our college have excellent placement considering any branch. Students are eligible for intership in their 5th semester and placement from 7th semester. This year more than 750 offers were made and some of the companies are atlacian, Amazon, Flipkart,uber, Qualcomm and many more. The highest package was 83 lpa and average stood 15.98 lpa. And no. Of students placed were 98.87. And my plans after the degree to secured highest package from my college according to my will.

Likes

Campus life is quite happening especially the eveings.
There are many places to eat inside the campus.
We get many sports facilities in the campus.

Dislikes

There is an in time for boys which is 10pm which can be changed to atleast 11pm
Class hours are very hectic with almost 6 hours class everyday.
The campus is not closed so the nearby residents keep crossing our campus

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 6th semester. There are many companies in every sector that visit our college. The highest package of our college is 83 lacs and the average package is 14 lacs. Almost 98 per cent of students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good package.

A great and a soso experience at NIT

Likes

Hostel life, campus life, the main building and it's infrastructure
Friends, social life here, and sports enthusiasm, as well as academic excitement

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be more maintained, plus there is no auditorium, swimming pool etc
Sports facilites are little poor tho, no indoor badminton court which is yet to be built,

From 3rd year itself, if some student does well enough, they can get campus placements, otherwise, 4th year is the year for placements. A huge number of companies come here for placements such as Amazon, etc. Almost every branch gets around 99-100 per cent placed

It has good infrastructure like academic buildings and hostels are well maintained

Dislikes

It's campus is 350 acres but it is not well planned

Placement Experience:

From 3rd-semester internship opportunities are available for students in our college. Companies like tata steel axon diesel come for providing internship opportunities. In my branch, the highest placement is 20 lakhs per annum and avg package is 12 lakhs per annum. In my branch, 98 percentage of students get placed. I will give GATE exams and gets a job in PSUs.

Why should one opt for NIT Jamshedpur

Likes

Hostel facilities are equivalent to top tier IITS with spacious single rooms and recreational areas
Mess Food is good with lot of variety with strict emphasis on cleanliness
Placement is very good even if you are unplaced you can get a 3-4 lpa job

Dislikes

Lab Has limited equipment and are not maintained properly
Hostels and classes are 1km walkaway and there are no walking pavements or transport

NITJSR is a Good Option for Pursuing BTech.

Slow manangement process from academic side
LAN facility doesnt work properly and regularly in hostels.
management is Less supportive towards student.

From 3rd year onwards students are eligible for Campus placement. All branches show above 95% placement. The average package of the CSE branch is 24LPA, and all branch average is 16LPA. Ample companies visit campus.

the most impt this is its class room building...
hostel ,provide single room from 2nd yr..
nescafe and NIT store which provide all the stuff to eat ...

Dislikes

its resource departments and lab ,its too old
sports especially football ground and looks like forest.
its is not boundry form all side so local people roam in the campus..

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course of B.Tech in electronics and communication at NIT Jamshedpur for its huge placements which is even higher than many computer science placements of many NIT and IITs. the faculty: student ratio is not up to the mark, you should not be completely dependent on faculty for your study.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
