Likes

Placement of nit jamshedpur is top tier with 83 lakhs highest package.
The placement rate of nit Jamshedpur is 98.8%.
We get single bedroom hostel from 2nd year.

Dislikes

Mess food quality is average which can be bettered.
The campus is not utilised fully we have many unused land.
The sports infrastructure is bad compared to other nits.

Placement Experience:

From semester 7 students get eligible for campus placement. Here placement rate is 98.8% for the financial year 2023 with an average annual package of 15.98 lakhs. You can get an internship offer from 2nd year but most will get one from 3rd year.

I like placement environment here. Learning how to get placed, speaking skill.
Campus greenary is at peak here
Library, Nescafe, big playground here, coding club

Dislikes

I dislke syllabus some what difficult.
I dislike non AC hostel room which should be there

Placement Experience:

After 3year placement starts here and a lot of companies visit here some well-known companies like Flipkart Amazon, tata motors, etc visit every year. The average package is 15LPA. Here almost 99 per cent of students get placed. My plan is to take placement and then do business.

A honest college rivew of nit jamsedpur

Likes

In this college you get single room from second.year.

Dislikes

College insfrastructure is very poor. It contain no park, only 2 to 3 playgrounds.
This college does have basic ammeneties shop even the small one, no shopping mall to buy some clothes etc.
Faculty are not good here they don't even take interest in what they teach. They only make you copy assignment your whole college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose cse because the average package is very good in nit Jamshedpur 27 LPA. The faculty ratio is 1:10 here. Many faculty are worst here. But you can find one or two faculty decent in some semesters. Faculty are qualified but I don't think they mean their degree. Term exams are timely and it was very easy to pass.

Our college placement is very well and it's average package is growing day by day.
New acedmics building with good infrastructure.
And our hostel is very good with 2 seater in first year and single seater for remaining year

Dislikes

College campus is not very good and lack of facilities.
Lack of security and water problem but working on it.
Our college campus is open as we have not exact boundary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our faculty members are so knowledgeable and approachable. They are not only focusing on academics but also on learning new things and they are so good in their respective fields and with it is very easy to ask any doubt them without any hesitation.

Reasons why you have to choose NIT jamshedpur

Likes

I like the campus of nit jamshedpur that is very good and also hostel life is very awesome
Placement is very good in the college. the cse average package is bery good as compared to top Nits

Dislikes

There is lack of wifi campus that is solved in 1-2 years
There is lack of gym in the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose production and industrial because I got a little bit low percentile so I could not able to get a higher branch. the faculty members are very nice. professors are very helpful. student ratio is also good Talking about Qualifications of faculty members. all professors are PhD holders and there are many mtech and PhD scholars. Some foreign students are also in the college. The teaching style of professors is very good they explain every detail in the classroom and also they give some tips for our future life. Exams are not very difficult you can pass with a little effort.

Life at NIT Jamshedpur

Likes

Placements are amazing in our college. Best part are placements
College life is really nice at Nit jsr. Big campus is available
Hostels are good and single room are available from 2nd year.

Dislikes

Honestly Hostel food is not that good and it can be improved
Reasearch facilities can improved at our colleges and labs can be improved.College has to work upon the management of the campus
Campus should be managed and gyms and auditorium should be made.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 250+ companies visited our Various college company visit our colleges such as Adobe, Amazon, Deloitte, Exon mobile, bajaj, Flipkart, Microsoft, Atlassian, Byjus, Tradence, HSBC, Tata, Aditya Birla, Axis Bank and various other companies visited our college. The highest package offered at our college was 83 lpa; the average package is around 14.5 lpa for the whole college.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR - the college I call home.

Likes

Placements are very good so that's a very good thing.
The curriculum of this college is updated and as per the industrial need .
The location of this college is very there are malls and theatres as well as beautiful Dalma hills nearby.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not well developed as it should be and a lot of unused space is the campus.
No proper boundaries is a major concern and you will see a lot of local people roaming around the college campus.
Maintenance and cleanliness is not up to the mark.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the seventh semester onwards. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian, Deloitte, HSBC, and many major companies come every year to recruit. Placement percentage is 98.87 % . Placements stats are attractive for our college. The best thing about NIT JSR is its placement. Core placements are really good in our college. 100% placement in civil, meta, and mechanical. And the Cse avg package is 27 lpa in our college.Ece avg is 21 lpa,EE avg is 17 lpa.PIE avg is 11.37, Mech avg is 10.50, Meta is 9.42, and Civil is 9.57. Future plans after getting the degree are campus placements and let's see what happens further.

Hostel Rooms ,class rooms , library are very good at national institute of technology
People are multi-talented here .everyone is good at something or the other
Professor are good , placement opportunities are great here

Dislikes

The food in the mess is the one thing I don't like at all

Placement at the national institute of Technology Jamshedpur is very good the highest package is 88lpa and the average is between 12 to 25 lpa .jamshedpur being an industrial area has many job opportunities here.

Likes

Placements are tooo good as well as the culture of the college
There are numerous clubs as per each n every one's taste
There are nice, pompous fests ; be it urja, be it culfest or be it ojass

Dislikes

There is a lack of benches in the campus area
The area is quite dusty owing to it being in the industrial area in Adityapur
Though there is security present yet being an open campus is a demerit

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
