Journey at Nit jamshedpur

Likes

The hostel present for both the biys as well as the girls is best i guess and gives a full hostel life in a good manner to develop your personalities
The academic building where the classes are held id of great comfort for both the forms if teaching that is screen based or the board based
The overall fest and annual aport provides you the healthy atmosphere for upbringing the personalities

Dislikes

The faculties are not that much good you gave to go through yourself for the course
The canteens are not that good it could be dine better
The college size that is the campus size is limited and that cast to exolore different domains

Course Curriculum Overview:

At my rank the courses that were available for me, this course stand out as the best option for me as an individual so i went forward and opted for this Faculties are good enough to take you through the course and the student ratio is also equal throughout all the branches and the male female ratio is also quite descent I would say Faculties are all Mtech and phd with their prior knowledge in the field of education and teaching method is hybrid both board based as well as the ppt format There are two exams every semester and is easy to get passed

Likes

I like my college's placement scenario . It is quite good .
NIT Jamshedpur has various clubs and society in different domain which gives enough exposure to an individual to excel and be confident in life .
I like the college's Diamond Jubilee Complex Lecture Hall

Dislikes

I didn't liked the location of the college .
The in time of girls (Why should boys have all the fun)
Triple sharing in a room (The scenario would not be this in coming years as new girls hostel is being built)

From the 7th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies who visit our campus are Amazon, Atlassian, Adobe, EXL, EY, Genpact, ICICI bank, Axis bank, Deloitte, Fractal, Flipkart, Flexcar, HSBC, Exxon Mobil, Reliance Industries, Tata Projects, Vedanta, LnT. The highest package is 83LPA, and 750+ offers were made by 250+ recruiters.

NIT JAMSHEDPUR- a verbal tour

Likes

First thing i liked is the new lecture hall building built in the campus.
Second thing is that various clubs help us to improve our skills
Third thing would be students are encouraged to play more sports.

Dislikes

The faculty sometimes try to take personal grudges.
Adminstration takes too much time to things done.
Facilities provided at the hostel are not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

After entering the fourth year i.e. seventh semester, students are eligible to sit in the placements. There are companies like Amazon, and Atlassian comes for the SDE role, whereas Flipkart and Delhivery come for the supply chain management role. A good percentage of students get placed during the season. The average package of the college is 16lpa and the highest went up to 80lpa. Profiles for which companies visit are sde, analyst, and supply chain.

Academic curriculum is Student friendly.
Hostel facilities are fascinating and interesting
Festivals of nit jamshedpur is incomparable

Dislikes

There is no such things I don't like about this college

Placement Experience:

College used to provide campus placements. It is the rule basically. Many students are preparing for placements since day 1 and some students are also preparing for civil services exams as per their interests, I will opt for placements.

It's infrastructure and cleanliness. Greenery
Healthy relationship between students and professors
Placement opportunities is good . everything is well managed

Dislikes

There is no junior and senior communications
Events and not well organised and planned
It's very far from city so transport system is not there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institute was tagged by NIT so I choose this college. And the curriculum is also good. It's giving me a great opportunity to grow and build my future in this society. Faculties are also very helpful and supportive.

Likes

Placements of this college is quite nice.
Mess food is of good quality at minimal expenses.
Clubs and technical teams make you learn about personality development

Dislikes

Campus area is not closed. So nearby residents are allowed to roam here.
Extra curricular activities must be maximized

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placements from the 7th semester onwards. The placement scenario is very strong. 80-90 per cent of students are placed every year. You are provided with enough opportunities. The highest package goes up to 80 lakhs whereas the average package is around 10-12 lakhs.

Likes

Infrastructure we have new academic building which is really good
Co curriculum we have various clubs where students can take part according to their interest
Hostel food aur food is really good plus night canteen

Dislikes

Gates our gates are not closed for outsiders
So vehicles keep coming and going out of the college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for on-campus placement from the 4th year and for internship from the 3rd year only. Everyone is required to do an internship for the 8th semester. The highest package provided is 80lpa. 97% of students were placed last year

Placement at NIT Jamshedpur is very good despite of low NIRF Ranking NIT Jamshedpur placement is of top notch level.
Cooperation of Seniors. Here, seniors cooperate their juniors soo much in their academic development as well as personality development.
Campus is cleaned and environment friendly. There are a lots of trees within the campus premises.

Dislikes

Distance Between the Main Gate and Hostel is too far. Market is soo far from Main Gate.

Placement Experience:

The placement session starts in 4th year. Approx. 200+ Companies visit our college for On-Campus Recruitment. There are 100 per cent placements for CSE, ECE, and EE branches.m90 percent+ placement for Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, and Production Branches. The highest package offered in CSE, ECE, and EE is 85Lakh and 25Lakh for other branches.

The percentage of every branch will be highly selected. every branch got 100 per cent in our institute. The companies like Microsoft, tata steel etc.. visited. when come to opportunities very one will get very good

Likes

Good environment there is lush green campus during rainy season.
Seniors juniors bonding of students are too good. Seniors are helpful and no ragging happened.
Hostel life, new academic building are too modern with ac fitted in classroom.

Dislikes

There is no auditorium, lab has limited equipment.
Its campus is 350 acres but it is not well planned.
Lan facility does not work, management process is slow.

Placement Experience:

Nit Jamshedpur is famous for its placement. This year four branches get 100 percent placements with an of 10 lacks per annum. Cse average is 26 lpa which beat iits placement. Internship season starts at the end of 3rd year.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.

The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
