NIT Jamshedpur Review during the COVID-19

Placement Experience:

In 2021, 96% of students got placed from my ECE department, i.e., out of 78 students 75 got placed. The highest package offered was 30 LPA. The mean package offered to the top 50% of students was 16LPA, and the mean package was 12LPA. Most placements were not in core but IT. All the information I have provided here are from the official source. Some of the recruiters were JusPay, PayTM, Ola, Hitachi, Oyo, One Plus, TCS, Oracle, Vedanta, etc. I am more interested in core electronics jobs. After working for few years to save some money and get some experience I would like to start my own company. And I hope that one day I become the founder of a company that revolutionizes the Electronics Manufacturing industry in India.

NIT-JSR Rocks

Placement Experience:

from 4 sem you are eligible for Placements whereas from 3rd one you are eligible for Intern. You got the opportunity and if you work hard then definitely you end up with great placement in some MNCs Product Based Companies. Amazon, Avalara, FlynFin, RollesRoyal, and many more. and the CTCs were between the range 7 to 29 approx. If you are talented you will surely get one. I plan to get an intern in the 3rd sem and try some big companies like GOOGLE, MS etc.

Placement Experience:

Mostly in the fourth a lot of companies visit the college at the most and highest package for this year is 65.5 lakhs per annum and for CSE, mean - 12.5 lakhs per annum median - 13.8 lakhs per annum ECE mean - 10.39 lakhs per annum median - 12.1 lakhs per annum.

A College known for its excellent placement record and mega hostels facilities.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is amazing and one of the major factors which attract thousands of students. This year 91% of students placed which is better than last year with avg CTC of 9.38 LPA the nd highest CTC 37.5 LPA. 800+ total offers by 150+ total recruiters like Amazon, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, ola and many more. In CSE placement are 100% and if we talk about core branches which generally college ignore, in Mechanical 96.5 % and civil 74% students were placed with avg CTC of 7.3 and 6.5 LPA. So if you are in this college don't worry about placement just focus on your skills.

Placement Experience:

The best thing about NIT Jamshedpur is its placements. Companies like Microsoft Amazon TCS Infosys Tata motors Snap deal Oracle Honda L&T Samsung Dell Vedanta Wipro Mahindra Aditya Birla Group etc visit for campus placement. The highest placement offered was 40 lakhs per annum and the average placement was 10 lakhs per annum. Every year nearly more than 90-95% of students get placed from NIT Jamshedpur. Here students get their dream packages. The highest package from my branch that is ECE was 30 lakh per annum and the average package was more than 11 lakhs per annum.

The most important thing in NIT Jamshedpur is the Placements. The students come here only for Placements. the Placements stats of nit Jamshedpur is awesome. From the 4th year that is the 7th semester, you can sit for campus placement. Here Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, and other companies visit. Here almost 85-90% of students got placed The average package of college is 9 lakhs and the average package of our ice branch is 10 lakhs. the highest package here offered is 40 lakh and lowest being 9 lakhs. My plan after getting the degree is got sit into campus placement

Placement Experience:

In the Nit Jamshedpur, the only good thing is your placement. Here almost 85 -90% students are got placed every year. The students from 4th semester are got eligible to sit into campus placement. here companies like Amazon, Microsoft, flipkart, samsung, qualcomm , tcs visits. Here the highest package that get offered is 40 lakhs per annum and the lowest package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. In my electronics and communication branch, The placement percentage is 92 % and the highest package is 30 lakhs . Average package of institute is 9 lakhs per anuum and average package of our branch is 10 lakhs per annum my plans after getting degree is very obvious that I am your Nit jamshedpur and I got admitted only here because of college placement stats so I sit in campus placement.

NIT JSR in a nutshell

Placement Experience:

The placements of college are quite good, the students are eligible for internships from the third year (the pre-final year )students and the fourth year (the final year) students are eligible for full-time offers. Many multinational companies visit on campus to hire students. Some notable companies are Amazon, Flipkart, adobe, arcesium, Qualcomm, groww , Microsoft, tata companies, and many more. The highest package ranges from 39 LPA to 30 LPA for the case and other branches respectively. the average package is 12lpa to 8 LPA depending on branches. the overall placement percentage is 89 percent. my plans after getting the degree are working full time in IT company and earning lots of money.

Core engineering industries IT & IT-enabled services Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata Motors, Oracle, Oyo, Oneplus, ITC, Baja, and, My plan is to work as a software engineer in bog company a software developer after getting the job The highest CTC stood at INR 37.5 LPA which is offered by DE Shaw and the average CTC stood at INR 15.5 LPA whereas the average package in the computer science engineering branch stood at INR 18 LPA and 100% of students have been placed in this branch. some companies like Groww, Amazon,intell, column.

Placement Experience:

I have planned only for placement. In my College this time 100% placement from Computers and 91 % from mettalurgy. From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. You may also apply for an internship from the 6th semester.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
