I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Brief of my dream college

Likes

Beach. Stress relief for the students in their distressed times.
Canteens. It supplies food when we are unable to eat in mess.
Atmosphere. In rainy season the campus looks good.

Dislikes

Hostel room interior infrastructure is not that good in old blocks
Food. We have to adjust for that. I'm unable to get satisfied sometimes.
Locality. We have to go Mangalore if we need anything. There are no big stalls available here.

Placement Experience:

Placements will be good in our campus. Like every year mostly 80-90% of students will be placed. If not in campus, outside the campus we have great chance of getting opportunities. Average package is approximately 15 LPA.

Good environment likely we have beach and lighthouse

Rooms accommodation is 3 persons and it is highly

This is a college with good placement in my college and also in national institute of ranking framework is 12th place in all over India with good average annual package in various departments and in my college I have an annual package of 12 lpa

NITK SURATHKAL

Likes

Faculty, campus experience and the environment of the university
The sports facilities of the college are really great
The academics are really wonderful in this college

Dislikes

The extreme pressure of academics in the college
Sometimes you have classes during weekends
The mess food is same almost everyday and you get bored easily

Placement Experience:

Many companies visit this prestigious institute. Around 300 to 400 companies visit the campus and the placement season starts at around August. All the students from third and fourth year are eligible to sit for placements.

My college in my PoV

Likes

Beach. It is stress relief for many of the students.
Night canteens. It provides the food for the people who is not able to eat in mess.
Clubs. We can learn and develope skills in various fields by joining in the clubs.

Dislikes

Old Hostel blocks. The interior infrastructure is not that good.
Food. We have to adjust. I don’t like that.
Locality. We have to go to Mangalore if you need anything.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in our college. That mostly 80-90% students will be placed. And the highest package is 15 LPA. If not placed in the campus itself, you can get placed off campus. Because you will have the one of the prestigious institution's stamp on your degree.

Life at NITK

Likes

College life is very good as an individual get more friends from various parts of India and they share their culture, food and it's a good experience
The study in the college is absolutely amazing. The faculty, the support staff we get more support from them.
Encouragement of startups : our college is planning to establish a entrepreneurship course from next year.

Dislikes

Hostels are not so good.like this are very old hostels built around 1960-70.but the hostels which are newly built are so good.
There are no good restaurants to eat nearby the college . We have to go Mangalore to have good lunch or dinner
The climate here is very humid. We take more time to adapt this conditions and to live here.

In our college some students from 6th semester get placements due to the internships offered by other colleges or companies. As I am from 2nd semester I don't know much about companies visited and offers made. But no of students getting placed is above 90%. My plan after getting degree is to join a job and earn well.

My experience in my dream college

Likes

We can roam on the roads with our friends and as the sports facility is good, we can play our desired sport.
The Clubs. They will helo the students to learn and develope new skills which are very innovative and are useful for them in future.
Night canteens and beach is the main thing. We can go to beach and calm our minds when we are distressed.

Dislikes

Interior infrastructure of the old blocks. Like they had some kinda patch work.
Food. We have to adjust for it. Like it will not be like at our homes. Though we have to adjust, then also it is difficult only.
Bathrooms. They will smell like hell and are not that good. Like they are not the one's that should be in this kind of prestigious institute.

Placements of the college are quite good and our college is little bit known for that. Like there is good placement percentage. Mostly 80-90% of students will get placed. Many well known companies will arrive for recruiting. If we are not placed in the campus, off campus also we have a good chance that we will have the stamp of NIRF rank 12th institute on our degree. Which is prestigious.

About NITK

Likes

There is a private beach to which only students are allowed
There is Central Research Facility, which contains most advanced machines
Auditorium which can accommodate around 1500 people at once

Dislikes

Climate in NITK Surathkal is unpredictable
NITK is very big around 300 acres which makes us walk around a lot but keeps us fi
Personal vehicles are not allowed in the campus for students which creates a little difficulty to travel.

Placement Experience:

Placements are top notch in our college we have a legacy of more than 50 years in placement an average of almost 95% of the students get placed every year and there is 5% of students go abroad for mtech and other higher studies.

I love the campus of NITK, beach makes it so beautiful, and overall green campus
Schedule of class is also smooth, i dont feel a hectic atmosphere
NITK provides a conductive environment for holistic development, fostering academic excellence, research, innovation.

Dislikes

The coastal location of NITK means that it experiences hot and humid weather for a significant part of the year
For students coming from different parts of the country or abroad, adjusting to the language and culture in karnataka might pose a challenge initially
The accademic rigor at NITK can be demanding, which may not suit students who prefer more relaxed and flexible

Placement Experience:

In m.tech from 3rd sem students become eligible for placements, almost every type of companies are visiting the campus whole year. placement is almost 95% sure, and average package from 'power and energy system' is almost 12lakh. highest package can go upto 33lac and minimum package can go upto 7lakh. my plan is to get placement in core company this year in 23-24 resession time that is why placements are low as compare to previous years there is placemt cell which is named by 'carieer development center'

NITK - a brief view

Likes

Incident and particularly 2022, 23 nd 24 Inci, were the best so far.
The placements here are really good if you see.

Dislikes

Entrepreneurship is something that has to be looked into here.

Placement Experience:

Placement is prolly the best in Karnataka, with highest packages of 50 LPA to Least of 8 LPA. Nearly 80% at worst cases get places or else it's 90% +. Companies like Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Deshaw, O9, TVS, Bosch, Mercedes Rolls Royce to name a few take students.

faculties are supportive and helps in researches and projects
sports facilities are best and there are 2 grounds for sports.
infrastructure is very good and nit is trying to develop it.

Dislikes

some departments have shortage of faculties.
swimming work is under progress for more than 3 years.
climate changes suddenly which causes health issues.

placements are very good. it is the 2nd best nit for placements in mca. more than 80 companies visits every year and placement ration is approx 70%. highest package offered in mca is 55 lakh and lowest is 6.5 lakh.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
