I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Life in NITK

Likes

I loved the vast spread of the campus with greenary.ry
The placement offers and the couching given.
The infrastructure and facilities for all sorts of needs.

Dislikes

The to much hotness during the entire year so that we prone to tanning.
The scarcity of water during summer season.
The distance from hostels to the department and classrooms

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements and write the internship exam form their 3rd year. There are hundreds of companies visiting our college for placement like Google, Microsoft,etc. The highest package was 57lakh and average package was 14lakh. 95% percent students are placed every year.

About our college

Likes

There is private beach for our college in the campus.
Our classrooms have good infrastructure .
The faculty teach the students in a practical manner.

Dislikes

The environment is soo harsh. There would be only two seasons summer and winter.
The college wifi network is not that great.
People who stay in the top floor of the hostel rooms face many problems.

Placement Experience:

Our college placements are good. Students of sixth semester become eligible for the campus placements. Google, Microsoft, wallmart etc many companies visit the campus. 90 percent of the students get placed in the campus.

Life of NITK

Likes

I like the flora and fauna of our campus. This looks soo beautiful
Beach is one of the highlight things in our campus. This gives peace to our soul.
I like the faculty and our seniors are just like friends.

Dislikes

I didn't like the mess food. But it's okay to eat .. it's not homely
There will water scarcity during summer. So the students face little problem.

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage is good in our college. The overall percentage of placement is about 86%. As we move forward on further years, it's percentage may increase gradually. Anyway that depends upon our talent and performance in front of interviewer. Highest package of our campus is around 56 lpa(on campus).

Waiting for more experience in coming years

The good gesture from seniors and parallel batch mates
The greenery around the collage is adorable

Dislikes

The block timing are not that good but can be extended any how will be from next semester
The regular exam are some what bitter experience here that too near to fests

Placement Experience:

As I am still in 2 nd semester I don't know much on our own experience but according to our seniors it's good. Campus placement is from 4 th year. But still get earlier with internships and mini projects from profs and companies.

Faculty here was too good they are highly qualified and skilled. They are so friendly.
Clubs serve as a good place to showcase our skills and meet people with same ideas.

Dislikes

Once we come here we fall in love with this place we will not dislike anything here.
It is away from hometown it will be difficult to go to home frequently. Only 2 times we go home in a year

Placement Experience:

The placements percentage in our campus is 92. 3rd years will be eligible for internships 4th years will be eligible for campus placements. You will need to have a good cgpa to get placed in a good company. More than 250 companies visit in an year Some of the companies are Amazon,texas,samsung,Wipro,etc... The highest package here ranges from 45 to 55 lakhs. The average package is 18lakh. We can even pursue higher studies in good universities. We can even plan for startups

I think the experience of campus life is great
Network of the college is so strong and vast

Dislikes

Little Overhyped about the name but it takes the legacy forward
Maintenance of hostels and clubs is little clumsy

Placement Experience:

Basically from 7th sem students are eligible for campus placements and interships are also offered many companies visits NITK like Google, Amazon, Facebook,Microsoft, Samsung,apple, nvidia, amd, intel, and all other major companies visits NITK and the placement percentage in our above 95% .The highest package is of 54 LPA and average package is of 15 LPA my plan is to get placed in my dream company and dream package

Why to opt for NITK , Surathkal.

Likes

The campus has wide diversity of flora and fauna .
All sports facilities are provided for boys and girls.
It has a private beach which is near to the hostel.

Dislikes

The weather is unpredictable you have to carry umbrella all the time.

Placement Experience:

4th year students are eligible for campus placements. 3rd years students are eligible for internship offers. There are some internships for second year students also. 90-93% students get placed every year.

College near Beach with hopes coming like waves

Night Canteen available for students open till 3:00 am
Library is very clean and open by 1 at night

Dislikes

Water Shortage is a big problem and should be solved
Rooms should be reconstructed in hostels

Course Curriculum Overview:

EEE department gave me a broad idea about the circuits , Network theory But there should be some improvement in the curriculum and they should include AI in modern teaching but the course is very old way.

Big campus and have curious things to explore..
Clubs of all types.. So that they can join their passion
All the big events are under control of students

Dislikes

Restrictions for first years . And no proper guidance
Frequent water problems in hostels. And taking time to resolve
Mess food quality in not upto mark.. It should be checked

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although I have experienced only one sem here... I had some good faculty who were clearing the concepts properly.. And also some faculty who were appointed for training as teacher.. And this was difficult

NITK - Abode by the beach!

The ambience of the college is beautiful.
The facilities provided are top-notch quality.
Excellent faculties for teaching and mentoring.

Dislikes

Water shortage in even semesters (Jan-Apr)
Short even semesters due to water shortage.
More classes in Jan-Apr period due to short semesters.

Placement Experience:

They provide excellent campus placements, the average package is 16 lakhs per annum and the highest is around 53 lakhs per annum. A lot of companies visit this college, including Google and Amazon. Around 90% students get placed.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
