I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

We can have anything we want don't have to worry about anything we need.
People here are quit helpful and good in nature.

Dislikes

I don't like the taste of food because I'm North Indian
I don't like the weather also because my body is not habitual of this kind of nature.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is good course for students that were preparing for JEE and failed there.It is a good platform to become software Engineer. In my curricular everything is realted to computers and its application and coding.There is a lot of real world applications that are A self driving car that comes under machine learning.There should be more real world examples and connections should be given rather than just explaining in theory.The exams are frequent and quit difficult for me.

I liked the environment here as i'm learning a lot of new things so i like that and even campus is quite good
I like the that placements over here are quite good its just one need to push there limits at such extent .
In academics also there are lot of subjects which are really interesting and gonna help me in future so that is also a good part.

Dislikes

I don't like food over here because its south india and i'm from north india.
there are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Placement Experience:

1. In MCA from thrd semester we appear for internship and from 5th semester we are able to appear for placements. 2. There are lot of big companies visited like microsoft,uber,cisco,adobe and many more and students got quite good packages aroung 50 lakh annual packages some got less also nut placements are good over here. 3. Microsoft offered a pacakge of 50 lakh above and TCS offered a package of 4 lakh 4. More than 80 % students get good placements this year due to ressesion placements are little low but overall its quite good. 5. I want to join a well-knowned tech company with a good package .

The beach is awesome and have very good green campus which makes us to fell better
I like the senior junior interaction and no one doing raging in the college that’s the better news for the hostellers
Have good average package that is one off of the plus points and it has very high placement ratio compared to other colleges

Dislikes

Humidity is too high here and in summer is too hot can’t able to survive here and in winter time its too rainy
I don’t like the process of fee structure because they will inform for payment before coming to college
Timing for the first year is 7:39 pm after that they will not not allow this practice is still 2 months after joing

Placements are good and in my barnch it is good like we will gwt an good and average package for ec is around 15 lack and highest is around 45 lack and it is very good by this we can get very good money and can be manage our lifes ande we have seperate block for our placements related works by tere they will tell us what to do and how to do alla the things related the placements after degrree I would like to get placed an get good salary ans settle my life

It has good campus and have beach for getting fun and having good time .
It has very good average package that will make every student happy .
It is near to my home town and i can go and come easily and it is near to beautiful city Manglore

Dislikes

Worst humidity, in summer time very hot we can’t able to survive here and in the rainy it’s too rainy that rain will not stop for an weaks together
It doesn’t have an well maintained football ground that we can’t play football is nice way
They are not allowing first year students to move outside after 7.30 pm , this practice is tilla the first two moths only

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year student are getting placed in our college , the companys which coming for an interview is good . They are giving more salary compared to other colleges and it is around 50 lack wich is highest package it is nit very high but our clg is ment for more average package which is around 25 lack it is quite good for the students because every one will get good amount for jobs, after completion of degrre I'll choose an good job and go on .

It has high average placement package so that we can get good job offers and get in to our life and leave our life happier
It has a good campus and big campus and in campus everything is there what we want , and also it has a private beach were we can timepass.

Dislikes

It doesn’t have an turf field for a football and i like turf and here we have mug ground so i would like to tell turf is badic need of football ground.

Placement Experience:

Placement in our college is so hign for the main branches like it goes upto 50 lacks pakage some year and it is not an big amount to announce a highest package but in our college average pakage it very good compared to other colleges like it is some 24 lacks it is quite high and good for everyone so thats it stands a too 1 engineering clg in Karnataka and top 9 in india and basically companies ask for 7 cgpa for placements and it is not a matter for a placement skills and talking way is more important than the cgpa i my snece thus systen is bettr because students are smarter than sharper . My pakn after completing the degree is ti get palced and continue my job .

The variety of clubs and their events that take place helps you explore more and get out of your comfort zones.There is a club for everyone, be it a club for passion or career, everyone can join a club on their likings.
You are surrounded with some brilliant minds and brains around you.Many people come from different backgrounds and mindsets. The mindset of people hunger for success and chasing their dreams , you also get motivated to follow your goal.

Dislikes

Regionalism exists in this college very badly. Despite coming from different cultures, instead of people exploring and getting to know each other, they get comfortable with people of their own background and culture instead of socializing.
You cannot fully depend on the teachings of lectures. You have to self study to get decent marks. The faculty members just read some PPT slides and you won't understand them.You are forced to attend the classes due to the attendance policies.

Placement Experience:

6th sem students can sit for campus placement interviews as long as their CGPA is above 7.There are a number of companies that recruit from here. Tata Mahindra is one of the main recruiters for mechanical engineers. Around 70 percent of the students get placed with the maximum placement being 10LPA without the Minors. Average package is around 7LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Many students opt for higher studies and I am one of them. I would like to pursue an MBA.

Unveiling the significance of NITK

Likes

NITK has a private beach which allows the students to get out of their stress and anxiety.
Best modern day looking buildings with are clean and they equipped with light sensor to save lot of energy.
Fests and sports events are always around the corner never bores the students and keeps them engaged in extra curricular activities

Dislikes

Climate is a little humid and sometimes unbearable which makes this place a little unpleasant.
Campus is very big around 300 acres which makes us walk around a lot but keeps us fit.
Personal vehicles are not allowed in the campus for students which makes commute a little difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nitk curriculum is very structured and well enhanced, to ensure maximum benefit for the future engineer's graduating from here. The faculty are world class educators and very well versed with all the subjects. They have deep knowledge of their core subjects and they explain it in a very lucid manner so that every student can understand and work upon it. Exams are conducted in a way that helps students get more time to study and write the exams. They provide us with ample free time so that we can work on the subject as well as other side hustle's. The curriculum of NITK is advanced enough to prepare a student for future and tackle any modern day problem .

My experience of first year in NITK

Likes

Seniors that help us in all sort of needs and wants.
Events and fests are conducted in a healthy and friendly envitonment.
Fee structure is rather affordable even for mifdle class families.

Dislikes

Hostels aren't that good. Space isnt enough for 3 people per room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

About the curriculum, I don't know much as I am still a first year student. But I get subjects that are taught here. It's understandable and pretty helpful for out future as well. We are also developing our skills through the skills being offered here.

campus life i always learn this life because this is best ever life i live
placement oppuritunity to got placement and setteled in your own life

Dislikes

in hostel bath room qulity is not good so i not like it
wether is also one factor i dont like it in this campus
morning classes because we all in sleep mode to go class and sleep in the class that class is wasted for us

It is a one of the best college in India.

Likes

I like the beach so if anyone get depressed can go their and feel good with nature.
Academic quality is very good. Student will sure learn something from here.
campus is very good. Every building is attached to one another. we don't have to walk too much.

Dislikes

environment I didn't like because it is very hot.
library of these college is small one it can not accommodate all the student.

Placement Experience:

after two semesters company will come and gives internship programs to the students. all the companies visit the NIT and from best of my knowledge the best package is 52 LPA and average package is 12 LPA. mostly a studend having above 7.5 pointer will eligible for the internship some companies may not ask about the pointers. We are here for get placed.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
