I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

A Genuine review of National Institute of technology,Surathkal, Karnataka.

Likes

Campus and Infrastructure of the college is beyond expectations.
Hostels are very well equipped with a high speed wifi and Hostel rooms are very well maintained.
There is a lot of scope for the students to showcase their talents. Clubs are very much helpful for students .

Dislikes

Quality and taste of the mess food is below average.
There are a lot of snakes present in the campus.
Auditorium of the campus cannot occupy more than 1200 students.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. There are a lot of companies both from core and circutal visit to the campus and offers the placements to the eligible students . Some companies visited to the campus are Amazon , Cognizant , Accenture, L&T etc. Percentage of students getting placed is very good . Mainly In branches like CSE , IT , ECE the percentage is above 92 . Whereas in Branches like Mechanical, Civil , Mining the percentage is between 85-95 . My plans after getting a degree is to apply for a good placement and get the job.

I liked the hostel warden because he is friendly person

I did not like the hostel because hostel food in not good
I did not like the campus because it was not clean
I did not like the college because it was not clean

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course and curriculum are best in nitk surathkal. Everything will be thought to us in a good manner. Faculties are very friendly with students . They clear every concepts to students without hesitation . Exam will be very easy and student friendly

NITK~ A breeding ground for opportunities

Likes

Overall i like the colllege because i look upto my college as to be a place which is a ground for opportunities and here are abundant
The campus life is pretty good and the way the events are held the environment is good
The lab facilities the order and management is good

Dislikes

The auditoriums are not enough and very small not even acquiring 1/10th of the college
The sports facilities are pretty bad for it to be of an nit
The hostel and food facilities should have been better

Placement Experience:

The placements are pretty good..Scaling to a highest salary of 42 lakhs last year with an average of 12 lpa..This is expected from an nit as it ranks 2nd among all the nits in the country..More likely than not all the students get decently placed with cs branch's avg being 20lpa

Collage facilities are nice it is large campus to learn everything
There are many clubs they are useful to explore the life
There is a private beach for this collage

Dislikes

The climate is very different here and every time it will be hot
And during the summer there will problem for the water
And there will sewage problem due to which many insects and snakes will come

Placement Experience:

For 7th semester students get eligible for placement and we can also try in 6 sem also there are some companies like bpcl,Infosys etc and highest package is about 50lakhs and average package is about 10 lakhs and percentage of student placed depends on the branch and it may about 95 percent for very branch and my plan is to do m.tech after b.tech

Life in NITK

Likes

I liked the faculties of NITK surathkal. They are very intelligent and student friendly
I liked NITK surathkal hostel very much.everything are well arranged
I liked campus very much. It has many buildings .

Dislikes

I disliked hostel managment and hostel office very much
I disliked hostel food because it is not good
I disliked nitk hospital because i never went there

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mechanical engineering is good compared to other branches of engineering in NITK surathkal. We can showcase our talent and intrest in mechanical engineering. NITK provide us with lot of opportunity to succeed in mechanical engineering. Exam are very easy to attempt and are mostly related to real life examples

Nitk and beach

Likes

One of the good thing is beach which is inside the campus.
Another thing I liked about the college is education provided into the students
And another thing I liked is extra curricular activities and sport's facilities.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike about tha college.
The only thing you dislike is whether but after sometime you will adopt in whether
And another thing is language but it is not the disliked thing almost everyone knows hindi

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for campus placement in 3rd year. Many companies like Microsoft tcs Oracle goldmansc etc company visit college. Highest package of college is 54 lakh and average package is something 12-14 lakhs. Total of 95 percent student get placed. After completing degree my plans is to crack UPSC

Infrastructure looks better here and that thing is good
New Grounds inaugurated which is a good thing

Old buildings for residing..............
Not all hostel facilities is there for us..

Perfect Review on NITK

Likes

Placements are good in this campus because almost more than 96 are placed here with better packages.
Lots of extracurricular activities and clubs , fests which develops interest in students.
Academics are quite good and difficult in this campus and I feel these would help students to grow better.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is average due lo low funding and budget of campus.
There is water scarcity in campus during summer.
Some of Assistant Professors are not well qualified and can't teach properly.

Placement Experience:

The placements inside campus are good according to statistics. From 6th semester the are onto internships. Average package is around 14 LPA and highest package on campus is 54.7 LPA . The highest international package offered is around 95 LPA .I feel NITK is better in placing students with better package on average. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys,Dell ,Qualcomm, LBM etc... around 75 companies visit campus.

I LIKE MY FRIENDS THAT I GET IN MY CAMPUS.
I LIKE FEST OF OUR COLLEGE CALLED INCIDENT.

Dislikes

I DONT LIKE THE CLIMATE OF THE MANGALURU THAT IS TOO HUMID.
I DONT LIKE THE FOOD TAHT PROVIDING BY THE HOSTEL.
MAINLY THE HOSTEK ROOMS ARE GOOD BUT WASHROOMS ARE NOT MUCH.

THIS IS THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE SO WE HAVE OUR CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES. EVERY MARCH OF THE YEAR WE ARE GOING TO CELEBRATE AN INCIDENT IN THE NAME OF COLLEGE FEST, WE CELEBRATE EVERY FESTIVAL WITH MANY ATTRACTIONS AND LOTS OF LOVE. TEACHING ARE THE BEST AND BEST FACULTIES INA AND AROUND US LIKE THEY ARE FROM VARIOUS STATES AND THEY GRADUATED FROM THE BEST IITS AND NITS IN INDIA.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
