The teaching faculty is excellent. they are expert and have a very good knowledge about the topics.
Scholarship will be soon arranged for the students who achieves by giving a test and is eligible for scholarship.it is important to be able to provide scholarship for althose who are in need .they need to be helped .
Students will absolutely enjoy their campus life as there are various fests, different days are celebrated and the campus itself is very beautiful to enjoy.

Dislikes

I don't like the faculty member of these college, also the hod is a liar.
The admission process was not that difficult but the website was very bad to handle...
Big line for paying fees, fees structure, no online payment available for many colleges

Good Girls to Boys ratio , with almost 1:1 ratio
well Qualified faculty , they are Phd / pursuing Phd faculties ...
Best Fests and Events organisation in collage....

Attendance Criteria of 75% for every dep..
Long working Hours of college , daily 6-7 hours ...
Strictness of faculty , high level of discipline...

Placement Experience:

we can apply for PPO from sem 6 onwards , and for placements we can apply from start of 7th sem , with a great placement percenatage of above 80% and avg package of entc as 6lpa , and highest pack. of 61lpa in uber , mass recruiter as capgemini and kpit , the ones who have not got placed can opt for masters and specificvcation in some cources ...

disciplined academic enviroment, good and supportive staff , strict but well beheaved staff
the college enpathies punctuality and attendace and stuctured learning which helped me build proffesionlism early on
provides real exposure beyond textbook the T&C cell is good provides lots of opportunites

T&P CELL is common for 4 colleges that means for one company 4 colleges students competing having different grades and all
more flexibility in electives where students opting easy electives and getting bettter grades the the students learing core subjects
curriculam updates are slow with respects to industry trend, and also there are rumors about placementt cell the once placed no further call for placement is harsh

at pccoe, students become eligible for campus placemts from the 7 sem. the college have exelleant placements record , for sp. aiml top companies like cognizant,infosys, and tech mahindra visit along with product bassed firms such as persistant zs associates with avg package of 5lpa sp. aiml students gets placed in data scinces related fields

Why I Chose PCCOE: A Student’s Perspective on Academics and Opportunities

The faculty here is quite experienced and supportive. Most professors focus on concept clarity, project work, and practical learning, which helps a lot during placements. The placement cell is one of the strongest points — companies like TCS, Infosys
Capgemini, Cognizant, and many core firms visit every year. Almost 90% of students from the CSE and ENTC branches get placed. The campus infrastructure is clean and well-maintained. Labs are updated, classrooms have smart boards.
The library is spacious with access to e-resources. Campus life is active — we have fests like SPECTRUM and Techlligent, plus clubs for coding, robotics, and cultural activities. The crowd is friendly and cooperative.

Dislikes

The canteen food quality could be better, and sometimes the management is a bit strict with attendance and permissions. Hostel rooms are good but slightly costly.

Placement Experience:

For 5th semester students become eligible for internship (stipend based)...And from 7th semester for placements. TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra – for software roles Larsen & Toubro, Honeywell, Siemens, KPIT, Bosch, Persistent Systems – for core engineering roles (ENTC, Mechanical, IT) Other startups & IT product companies also visit for internships and full-time offers. Highest Package: Around ?24–28 LPA (mainly for CSE/IT students in product-based companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS iON, etc.) Average Package: Around ?4.5–6 LPA for core and IT companies, and ?3.5–5 LPA for ENTC students. Each year, over 90% of CSE/IT/ENTC students get placed. Branch-specific placements may vary: CSE usually sees 95–98% placements, ENTC around 85–90%, and other branches slightly lower. I'm planning for higher degree (mtech)

currently nowdays placements are not so staisfactory due to United states tarriff and recession before that students placed upto 52lpa placemant offcampus and avg 11lpa for cs/it and in mechanical field top package is 12 lpa and average 5 lpa

Dislikes

1. Stress and Pressure: Balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and sometimes a part-time job can be overwhelming. The pressure to perform well in classes and meet deadlines is a huge stressor for many students.
2. Financial Burden: College tuition, housing, textbooks, and other living expenses can add up. For some, this creates a significant financial burden, and student loans become a long-term concern.
3. Homesickness and Loneliness: Moving away from home for the first time can lead to feelings of isolation. It’s common for students to experience homesickness, especially in the beginning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum high in terms of relevance and moderately high in terms of comprehensive. The topics covered are well aligned with current industry trends and technological advancements, especially in areas like 3d printing, data analysis. The course provides a strong theriotical foundation.

College Review from the perspective of a Student

Likes

The campus is good, but not the best regarding space.
College offers great opportunities for the students to explore themselves in their respective engineering domains.
The clubs, especially the motor sports related clubs and Rocketry related are top notch.

Dislikes

The campus is not big enough to accommodate the playground for sports activities, there is a ground but not big enough
The college is quite serious about attendence
Due to NEP policy there are lot of non technical subjects that are taught for 1st and 2nd year students

Placement Experience:

The college offers good placements to the students those who are well skilled in their respective domians. The Traning and Placements department of the college is always active and keeps on informing students regarding all the the opprtunities availabe. The palcement prcentage is upto 70 %.

The Real Experience: Strengths and Shortcomings of PCCOE

Likes

Most faculties are well-qualified, helpful and responsive when students reach out. Professors solve doubts and do not act unfairly against any student(haven't seen it from any faculty in 3 years) and all of them are qualified for their position.
Campus isn't very big but it is spacious and has many places to explore, some of which are the Cafeteria, the badminton court, field, labs and others. One more thing is that there is an abundance of holidays and various events conducted across campus
Infrastructure is developed. There are multiple labs with PCs and for electronics especially, there are multiple labs containing dev boards for various microcontrollers and experiments performed during the tenure of the degree

Dislikes

Sometimes the assignments and other things can feel monotonous and repitative. Most Lab assignments will have questions whose answers have to be handwritten and submitted to the teacher before the deadline for the respective assignment.
Due to the uniform and the aforementioned monotonousness, it might give the feeling of a school as there isn't too much freedom. Most other colleges allow someone sitting in the back to do whatever they want but here it won't be tolerated.
The college has a 5 day work week and occaisional saturdays are also made to be working saturdays. Due to this, students might be stuck in a certain limbo of not being able to complete stuff on time.

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.

transportation media available. u will have all options and it is very near.
college is so strict but if u have any out of the box ideas or dreams college will provide many connection to you.
it is autonomous so there is a bit less stress regarding backlogs and all.

Dislikes

if u compare it with other colleges it is so strict. u will feel the school again.
small campus size; though it doesn't really much matters college has all facility.
high crowd in the campus for placements.

Placement Experience:

our college has motorsports clubs so if you are in those clubs you will get very high reputation while the placements. one concern you have to consider is that the will have total 3 campus for the placement drives so the crowd is very high.

Syllabus is as per the industry needs. Uniform is compulsory , Disciplined college.
Infrastructure is good.Canteen is also very good.You get holidays after every semester end for almost a month wherein you can do internship.
We are being given placement training for DSA,aptitiude etc.

Dislikes

Mess facility is very bad for hostellers. Food quality very low.
Attendance is mandatory . It effects your internal assessment marks.
Some faculties are not upto the mark. They lack core knowledge of their subjects/domains.

Placement Experience:

From semester 6 students can sit for internship drives in college. Companies like BMC, Rapid7, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture ,Barclays visit our college, mostly the hire for SDE role and give traning to selected students. Highest package is 61 LPA and average is 7-8 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed vary each year. I am planning to sit for placement.

What is your review of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)?

One of my friends recently graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). According to her, it is better to do anything rather than joining this institute. She mentioned some of the reasons that made her feel this way.

The institute only focuses on making money and not actual education.
The syllabus and curriculum followed by the institute are outdated.
Practical training is not properly given, making students lag behind the industry demands.
Basic things like a proper academic calendar are not provided.
Re-evaluation is time-consuming and usually not done properly.
A 60% from SPPU is not considered good enough for admission to other colleges. They do not consider it as first class.
They are known to have the worst and uncooperative staff members. They are not at all helpful or considerate about any problem.

It is suggested that you do not opt for SPPU as they are highly unprofessional. They do not have a proper way to conduct classes, assemblies, extracurricular activities and get involved in everything half-heartedly. SPPU is a good example of how a university should be not.
