Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

IITian's life post covid

Infrastructure is still developing and lecture halls, auditorium are just developed recently.
Campus life in iit is just a whole different era
Single rooms in hostels provide you privacy

Dislikes

A lot more experimental and research setup still has to established to facilitate higher researches.

Placement Experience:

Students will be eligible for placements after entering into their 7th semester. Companies like Accenture, zomato, mathworks, media.net, BPCL, HPCL, Tata capital, publicis sapient, brane, Tata steel, MAQ software, dolat capital, JLR, tiger analytics, EXL and more visited the campus. More than 50 percent of the students are placed in the December. Usually from ece there will be a percentage of 90-100 students getting placed but there is a drop this time. Zomato offered a CTC of around 52lpa and Accenture of around 42lpa. The median is around 20lpa. As of now I'm planning to go for a post graduation in ece.

I like it may course curriculum as well as the faculty who come to teach.
I am in a business and my experience in the prestige very good and I feel happy
The classrooms as well as the campus is well lit and cleaned. You can feel the breeze of fresh air in our camp

Dislikes

Initially there was no cricket pitch for playing cricket but now there is a pitch

Placement Experience:

Every year campus placements starts mildly in August and becomes rapid during December and January. most of the tech companies will come for the campus placements during December and January. Students are provided with a minimum of 10 lakhs per annum package to a maximum of 45x per annum package and an average package of 12 to 20 lakhs per annum. Students who are good that academic performances and also students especially from computer science engineering branch will get definitely placement. If any students failed to get placements during the placements time then he can do a dual degree in their respect to branch or he can shift to any other IIT is with their gatesco or they can do in MS in foreign with their letter of recommendation of any of the faculty of their branch

The fests and societies, the leisure time we have
the infrastructure, security, greenary.. Etc

Dislikes

The educational system doesn't at all care about us
It is all your interest to push yourself to study

Course Curriculum Overview:

During our time , this college is top in 2nd generation IITs and i always wanted to get into CSE. So this gave is the better option at that time. Actually, the curriculum is not soo good that it doesn't teach much, you will have to prepare everything on your own

Very nice sports facilities with 5 Basket ball courts , 1 football court,1 hokey court , 1 cricket ground etc..
Very Clean and well maintained single occcupancy rooms, 5 hostels (3boys, 2 girls)

Dislikes

The campus is abit far from the city , it takes 30 to 45 min to reach to Bhubaneswar

Reality of IIT

Likes

Compus life , compus environment , opportunities for iitians
Compus infrastructure , course syllabus like interesting content practical labs

Dislikes

Lack of participation of students in college functions /meeting.
Boring meetings on national occasions and lack of techno meets
No holidays for South festivals , and lack of participation of students in the same festival celebrations .

Placement Experience:

placements are there in our. Campus is the good. Thing but Don't know why it's not being good and better and but by every year . percentage of students getting placement are improving every year .and this year with the highest package of 60 plus lakhs with and average package of 15 plus lakhs.compared to last year core companies that came during placement is increased and about software and analyst are asusal .some may choose compus placement ,some may choose higher studies others may choose gate exam as their career options . maximum 70-80% students got placed in this year.

Experience at IIT BHUBANESWAR

My overall experience at IIT Bhubaneswar has been enriching. The academic rigor combined with supportive faculty members has been commendable.
The campus life is vibrant, offering numerous extracurricular activities and clubs to engage in.
The course curriculum is comprehensive and prepares students well for both industry and further academic pursuits.

Dislikes

One of the challenges is the occasional lack of adequate recreational facilities, which can affect student well-being.
The administrative processes could also be streamlined to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve overall efficiency.
Additionally, while the faculty members are generally supportive, there may be inconsistencies in teaching quality across different departments.

About IIT Bhubaneswar campus in short review

Likes

College is very big and has good environment.
In hostel rooms ,only one person is allocated to one room
Placement are good and infrastructure is growing.

Dislikes

College location is very far from the city.
Transport facility is very bad while traveling to City
The maintenance of sports equipment and grounds.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements for btech batch and from 9th semester students are eligible for placements for dual degree batch.Companies which came for placement season are Tata steel,Braine, Accenture, jaguar etc.Highest package is around CTC 50lpa which is PPO. Average package is around 16LPA.

A tale of IITBBS

Likes

Friends... people who can never be compared with anyone
Hostels..too huge and cleanly.Facilities are quite good.
New auditorium...with world class infrastructure

Dislikes

Facilities..not so good compared to manh other colleges
Curriculum...not friendly in terms of placements
Fests...not so good as compared with other college fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are not as what I have expected to be.But these are quite decent with an average package of around 15lpa.Our major placement season is during December month of the 7th semester.many get placed every year

Likes

Sports activities and fests somtimes. Canteen food is very good in the campus
People are good and nice. Seniors are being friendly with all the juniors
Lot of friend were made and the student enjoy the most and events

Dislikes

Placements are not good every year it is being decreased
No guidance is available professors not taking them seriously and some friendly professor needed
Internships also same situation don't know but we need more guidance

Course Curriculum Overview:

In secord year of intermediate there is a chapter on current electricity which inspired me to take this course. By taking this course I got explored to many things of physics and some applications of real world.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
