Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Infrastructure recently a new auditorium got inaugurated which is having world class infrastructure.
Friends one thing that I will never forget are my friends

Placements not as what I have expected

Placement Experience:

Considering placements in our college,these are not as what we as students expected.Bhut yeah we have a decent placement season.Every year for sure 70% people get placed that too with an average ackage of 12lpa in different streams.

A good go through

Likes

Greenery is beautiful, infrastructure is good. Classrooms have developed etc
The sports facilities are very nice. There are many multi courts and things
There's also many pools which are constructed recently

Dislikes

The time during summer is very hard there so much temperatures
Riding cycles on these slope roads is hard
There are comparatively less events conducted

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very organized and clear. The time table is very optimized. It went by increasing the level of toughness. The institute rules and regulations are very good. The students are well compatible.

Iit bbs : beyond the walls.

Likes

Junior senior interaction. Seniors are kind and supportive.
Auditorium, it has 1500 hoding capacity and its infrastructure is amazing
Lecture classrooms they are comfortable and well maintained.

Dislikes

Library, it is not complete and books are limited.
Cricket ground, it is just open place need more maintenance and development.
Food stalls, they are not up to mark and need more of them.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 6th semester for campus placements. Companies visit campus during placement season. Companies which offer jobs are google, Microsoft, Amazon, goldman sachs, Flipkart, oracle, adobe, oil india, gail , arm, caterpillar, analog devices, tata steel.. 2023 placement season details Branch placement. Avg ctc. Highest ctc Cse.96% 26 lpa. 56 lpa. Ece.87%. 22 lpa. 44lpa Ee 85%. 20lpa. 44lpa Mech 85%. 13lpa. 21lpa Civil 68%. 12lpa. 38lpa Metallurgy 60% 13lpa. 23lpa 2024 Highest package 64 lpa .

Likes

College infrastructure here is very nice everyone will easily get attracted just by looking the campus
Sports facilities and gym facilities and very decent
Campus life here is quite enjoyable in every aspect

Dislikes

The thing most of the people dont like here is the swimming pool being still under construction
The only building here that is not that good is community center
Open stage is not available in our campus

Placement Experience:

The campus placements in our college are average compared with top iits but it is good when seen solely many companies come here and offer decent package to most of the students for software related jobs cgpa wont matter that much but for getting core jobs decent cgpa (8+) to get nice package and other cgpas provide us with avg packages above 85% students are getting placements in our college

My college honest review

Likes

Infrastructure like auditorium and lecture hall complex
Single room is given to everyone so it is highly appreciated
Faculties are cooperative and highly intellectual

Dislikes

Mess food are unpredictable sometimes so good and sometimes not even eatable
Fests are not organised in that big manner altho agreeing that it is 2nd gen iit
Night life is dead .. barely any person or activity is organised in night

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year various internship offer pre placement offer . It is mandatory to do internship in 3rd year be it on campus or off campus. After getting the degree I ll probably opt for non core. Highest package this year went to over 64 lakhs while median was about 17 lakhs

My Delightful College.

Likes

The lecture hall complex (LHC) is very good in my point of view.
I like the Auditorium very much because it is looking very pretty.
The student activity center is very good and the gym including it, is very good also.

Dislikes

The mess foods quality is very so I don't like it.
Nothing else that I dislike in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college is good ,till now the highest package is 64 lakhs and the average package is 15.1 lakhs . Approximately 70 percentage placed in computer science and other branches are lower than computer science.

IIT BBS: An Excellent choice for Everyone.

I really liked my Hostel room facilities
I also loved the Lecture Hall Complexes where our classes take place
I loved the library and the reading room of library

Dislikes

I did not really like the mess food in this college
Nothing more i do not dislike anything else
I did not like the Laboratory Block complex where we had class in 1st year

Placement Experience:

The highest package was 64 lakh per annum this year. This was backed by 10 students. Companies like google ,microsoft, amazon,jaguar come here.The final placement data is not released so we do not know it fully. But average package is close to 16 lakh per annum

A Review of IIT Bhubaneswar

Likes

Here labs are very good you will get every instrument to do your research work
Hostels are very good you will get single room
Professors are always available to clear your doubts

Dislikes

Too hectic schedule and too much coarse work
Location is very remote you have to pay rs200 auto charge to go to city
There is only one shop to daily use things

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year of your Mtech course you are eleigible for placement. Compant like lnt ,afcons, atkins come n the college the offer upto 8lpa almost everyone get placement in my course. This year only one guy is unplaced.

It's all about Structural Engineering at IIT BBS

Likes

Faculty is well educated and have good grip in subjects
Easy to approach the professors make it more cool environment.
Hostel is quite good , and with single seating occupancy

Dislikes

Management is not doing well, need to improve.
Hostel food and less technology used in hostel
This campus should have more supermarkets and shops

Placement Experience:

It is good, mostly all students are placed in every session. Since the capacity of class is very low, everyone figure out something and either they get placed or pursue higher education so overall 100% placement.

Likes

Campus is good , hostel facilities are good.
Facilities are good and are of supporting nature.
Sport facilities in campus are good enough.

Dislikes

Mess food can be better Mess menu is not that good
Lack of shopping complexes in campus. Only 2 shopping complex are there.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent for Computer science related branches. For structural engineering there is 100% Placement record. Package varies from 6.25 lakh to 8 lpa . One can get into good companies from here and Packages increase after getting experience.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
