Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Complete guide to join IIT Bhubaneswar

The fascinating thing is that it is an IIT.so the collage. Equipped with all sports facilities like badminton,table tennis,basket ball,squash,football, cricket, kabbadi with proper courts and equipment.
Very large campus with lots of things to explore and adequate food options to pay and eat. And from next year dominos is also comming to campus.
Most appreciating part is that all years we have single room and no ragging at all and hostel are equipped with gardens and and benches where we can sit and enjoy with friends

Dislikes

Classes are bit far from the hostel and there are sloppy roads which makes sometimes difficult to drive cycle and most importantly the campus does not allow btech students to have motored vehicle.
Mess food is again a big challange because roti are not buttered but there options within mess to pay and eat(which is good in taste).

Placement Experience:

There is a very good placements here as IIT unknown for their placements and iit Bhubaneswar offers an internship program from 3rd year onwards we can do internship in the first and second years but it's optional so we can do it and from 4th year we can get placements where is almost 80% placements of student within the campus and there are also the startup cells which do promote startups.

the ambience the nature which we are surrounded in is very refreshing and the hostel rooms here are very clean and organised and the extra curricular activities here are very good anf fun to do
this campus faculty are top notch faculty most of them being different iits alumnis they have a very vast knowledge in their domain by which they educate the students in every way possibe .

Placement Experience:

the placements here are pretty good as the average package is fifteen-seventeen lakhs per annums and median is also similar and the variety of companies is also very huge varying from non core to core including sde,ML etc.

My college experience

Likes

The campus is lush green and the environment is very peaceful
The lecture halls are new and very mordern.
The hostels have single room accommodation.

Dislikes

The college is very far away from main city Bhubaneswar
Campus is very large and we have to travel a lot to reach lecture halls
The mess food is sometimes so bad we prefer sleeping empty stomach

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester internship opportunities are provided to us and for job opportunity we have to wait till 8th semester. Highest package given to a student in our college is 64 lakhs and average package is 15 lakhs. Many companies like Nvdia, Google,amazon, zomato etc come for giving jobs and internships. In my branch Tata steel, jindal, applied materials etc are the ones which come for same. More than 80 % people are placed in my branch and overall more than 75 % people get placed. I am planning for further studies after getting my degree.

The infrastructure and faculty are good with high tech lab focused on research practices.
It's societies and fests are really good and has good sports infrastructure
Campus is pollution free and green with only cycle

Dislikes

There are very less places to eat and message food isn't good
The climate is too hot and humid making it hard to commute
Transportation is very costly if you want to travel

Placement Experience:

The student can sit in placement in the last year of the course. Campus hiring is really good companies like Google, Accenture , oracle , rippling also come to the campus and offer good package to students. Recently Oracle offered 64 lakh packages and average package is around 12 to 15 lacs. My plans after getting the degree is too gain some work experience and decide to opt for either Indian Engineering services or business school

The clubs and fests are really amamzing with great guidance
The environment for studying is really amazing

The development of infrastructure is so slow
The transportation from college to other places is a bit task

Actually the cirriculum good but not up to the mark the academic years are great the subject division is great the main problem is only specified amount of credits are allowed to be taken by the students

Likes

Professors here are actually better and quite frank and understands students behavior.
Numerous activities and societies for student's overall development, regular seminars and webinars, best library and well maintaind infrastructure
Hostel food is better than expected, single rooms, 24×7 available hall office staff, night canteen. The best thing is the hostel environment, no ragging, supportive seniors and no problem regarding in time or out time

Dislikes

Sports area is a bit outdated but they started improving it and itll be completed by 2025

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core curriculum includes everything that is required for industrial area. Laboratories gives a brief idea of field work and give experience, there are 3 to 4 Laboratories scheduled every week, the core curriculum is quite interesting and professors make it even more interesting while teaching. There are more subjects in curriculum apart from core for overall development, like business, psychology, biological science, trading, economics and critical thinking. And anyone can opt these courses, there is no cgpa Criteria for getting registered in these subjects.

Review of IIT BHUBANESWAR

Likes

I like mostly the infrastructure, hostel rooms, food , and lab facilities
Here extracurricular activities like music clubs, dancing clubs, gym khana and transport facilities provided free to cities
Here super markets available and cafe house available at each department front

Dislikes

During summer it is hard to be in hostel in top floor
Large area and vehicles are not allowed to masters degrees and bachelor degrees so cycling is only option after bus

Placement Experience:

100 percentage placement this year 2024 and previous one (2023). Highest package is in CSE department and in our department 13lpa is highest and avarage package is 10 lpa. So pretty good to join here. My plans to persue PHD after this.

Placements in IIT Bhubaneswar are decent enough. In SMMME, companies like applied materials are frequent recruiters. Professors help to get placed in companies like tata steel and other such metallurgical companies through their excellent network and references.

My college My experience

Likes

Environment, infrastructure is quite good. Large campus about 950 acres.
Student activities center is really excellent.
The Faculty are students friendly they help personally and professionally.

Dislikes

Humidity is too much during hot days, irritating.
For each and everything we need to depend on cycling.
No much enjoyment or hangout places near campus.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite good. A person will good nskill set will definitely get a better package compared to others. Average package will be around 500000 and highest will go around 600000 depending on branch.

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
