Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

My experience at IIT BBS CSE

Hostel facilities and vibe of the environment is really amazing.
Campus placement and internship assistance is good as well.
Most of the professors are really talented and are ready to help you at any point of time.

Dislikes

Food quality and quantity in hostel mess
System of spending two years to teach non-CSE subjects.

Placement Experience:

IIT Bhubaneswar offers on campus, internship and placement. Internship season starts after the end of the second year and placement season starts around the end of the third year's summer vacation. The institute had a really good placement before the recession with the highest CTC of 62.5LPA as per the data of 2022. Nearly 100% of students get placed in the CSE branch every year.

The culture here is the best part very friendly environment. And we have a lot of societies and fests which we can enjoy during our coursework. Also, the course work provide us the knowledge which we can use in the practical life.
I have recently joined in the neuromancer, the coaching Society of IIT Bhuvneshwar which has lot of seniors who guide us in our future placement.
Recently, Wissenaire has brought Dhvani Bhanusali and in every fest, we have a dj night in which we enjoy very much. These are the things I like very much here.

Dislikes

Some of the courses like civil courses like lateral and the breath. We have to opt for, which are not relevant to our main courses, but we have to take it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen course of computer science and engineering in the IIT Bhubaneswar. I chose this course because this is the only course at my interest and I think it is the best course in the engineering according to me and my interests. Faculty ratio in my college is very good. The faculty here are mostly also IITian, or a qualified professor, and are very much talented. Basically, the exams are held in two times per semester. First is midsem. And another is endsem. And it is quite interesting, but difficult.

About my college

Likes

Students Activity Centre, which is huge and looking good
Admin building, which attracts the students.
New audiotrium, which gives the cinema hall looks

Dislikes

Old shopping complex, which is too small.
Lab complex, where usually classes will be happened earlier.
There is no WiFi facility in some hostels

Placement Experience:

There is a Pre-Placement Offer for the students which will get in the third year like an internship. Somany companies are visited every year. Highest package was about 30 lakh for CSE students and an average package was about 15-17 lakh. 70% of the students gets placed.

All about iit bhubaneswar college life

Likes

The college culture is really good . Seniors and juniors interactions
The extra curricular activities like sports.
The fest and clubs. The dj and star nights

Dislikes

The hostel and mess food real too bad. Mess fee is high
Placement are not as expected compare to other iits
More academic pressure for studens to balance both core and non core.

Placement Experience:

The 4th year students are eligible for sitting in the campus placement. For code tata and applied materials like companies visited and for non core amazon Google flipcart and many more companies visited.

Big area , good infrastructure, friends,chilling ,outings . Faculty teaches good to every student and for every course .
Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . Offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
Faculty teaches good course and interesting towards students for every student . Campus had a restaurants inside college , tea stalls , snacks stalls .

Dislikes

ERP portal is not good and not working properly , mechanical students didn't have proper labs .
There will good number of stalls for food . Shelters for taking rest , bus availability in all the time .
Mess menu and quality is not good . Administration also not good

Placement Experience:

In this college we had a good campus placements this year due to recession placements are decreased . According to Oracle website of IIT Bhubaneswar this year only upto 53% placed . In 4th year eligible for placements . Brane , Amazon , tata steel , TCS , TVS , vedanta are companies that are visited . Highest package 6400000 . Average package 15lpa . After completion of degree we will do job .

Classroom facilities, bus facilities from hostel to college, number of working hours for each day
Food facilities like nescafe, khanaz restaurant and Shopping complex
Sports facilities and celebration of different festivals and events ,fests

Some Mechanical engineering students feel that Number of Labs were less
Some times transportation problems during rainy seasons if the buses are not there at that praticular time
Distances are long from hostel to college and food is not that much good

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally good but due to recission there are less opportunities provided. Percentage of students getting placements also decreased due to that. This year upto now 53% were placed given by oracle . Highest package offered this year was 64 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA and average is 15LPA . Different companies like Zomato ,Amazon ,Microsoft, Brane, TATA steel, TCS,tvs, vedanta, publicis sapient and many more. Placements start from 7th semester. My plans are either trying for a core job or writing GATE exam for entering into my Dream IIT for M.Tech in Civil engineering.

lecture hall complexes . i like the well facilitated lecture halls and well equipped labs.
student activity centre . all sports are there .well furnished indoor games and good grounds for outdoor games .
hostels . best hostels for students .single room with attached balcony .

administrations .lack of labs for mechanical students .
poor erp portal that anyone can open net issue
mess food mainly lunch and dinner are that much good.

actually good number of students get placed in our college .but due to recession this the count has been decreased . in 7 th semester students become eligible for campus placements. compaies visited are microsoft , brane , vedanta ltd etc . as of now 53% of the students got placed as by oracle review. highest package is 64 lpa . lowest 6lpa . average is 15 lpa . actually more than 80 % will be placed every year. my plan is to join in a non core job . after degree i will do the job and try to have my own company.

Hostels single rooms, facilities in hostels like common room, dance room, laundry room, pantry room.
Newly built auditorium, new lecture hall complexes,
Food breakfast, snacks and lunch will be good. Night canteen facility is also available. One small hotel is also available

Dislikes

Mess food, not having more food stalls and hotels
Out time and in time for hostel in the college
There is no proper facilities for going to college.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for internships and from 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Google, flipkart, Amazon, Brane, ICICI bank, Vedanta, Tata, TCS, TVS etc. 53% are placed. Average package - 15lpa, Highest package - 64lpa. After getting the degree i plan for job. But due to recession the current placement percentage is getting reduced. Hope it will be increased.

College environment is very good with full greenery
Along with academics,sports facilities are very good
Clubs, fests and societies really help us a lot for making a lot of friends and get to know lot of seniors who will help us a lot in future

Dislikes

Mess food is really disappointing. That was the main problem
Some unnecessary courses will be there which are not at all related to our field just in the name of credits

College placements are like average now. previously it was very good but it decreased recently .But still placements this year improved compared to last year. Highest package is 64lpa this year and average package is around 17lpa. Percentage of placements is around 70

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
