Placements are good but in this year due to recession there is decreased in placements . offers are good and there will good number of companies visited .
The faculty of indian institute of technology bhubaneswar are highly qualified faculty with phd the professors are really amazing at teaching.
Tution fee is around 114000 scholarships like fee remission and merit based are available for all students undertakings like fest management and societies are present for those who are interested in extra curricular activities.

Dislikes

Probably i don't have much things to dislike here but still i find lot of difficulties which conveying anything to an odia people.
The criteria of 75 percent attendance. this is the bitter truth that almost everyone hate this. but nobody can do anything right!
It's difficult a bit in cracking exam and 2nd year subjects need some more concentration to crack the exam.

Life at IIT BHUBANESWAR

Likes

I like the hostel facilities provided to us.
I like the extra curricular activities provided to us
We have good volleyball, basketball and tennis courts

Dislikes

Mess food sometimes is not at all good, sometimes unhygienic
Location of the campus, we have to travel one hour to go to city.
We have very high contact hours, the curriculum is very hectic.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements and from 5th semester we have opportunities to get an internship on campus. The companies visited are Tata steel, accentuate, Nvidia, Brane, Sprinkler, publicis sapients etc. in our mostly all of the students get placed But at present as recession is going on the placement percentage has decreased. My plans are to do a software job and lateen on do MBA.

Curriculum is pretty outdated. As for the exams mis sem exams are given 2 hrs and end sem exams are given 3 hrs. Difficulty level -IIT Paper pattern will be decided by the professors who are teaching the course

Canpus life is really enjoyable and the campus is safe
I am satisfied with the aminities provided
I really like the ambience of the college atmosphere

Dislikes

Internship and placement oppurtunities are not that good
Rules and reagulations are a big strict here
Course curriculum is not that useful for a student

I donot like the course curiculum personally. I think it is of no use and makes any difference in student resume and knowledge. I find curriculum of other private colleges better than this. But I guess the college faculty is trying to change that aspect.

firstly I very like the campas atmosphere
the hostel rooms and play grounds and class rooms
I like the infrastructure of the campas and greenary

the climate of the campas was very horrible in the 3 seasons
the people present out of the campas was not good
sometimes the food was not good to eat.but we have canteens to eat

Placement Experience:

in btech 4th year we can get a job in campas placement,the companies vistis like Bharat petroleum ,barne, publisis supient, range rover ,hpcl etc..,highest package in our college is 60 lakhs per annum and average package is 16lakhs,70-80 % students can get placement in college,my plans for getting degree is to be placed in a good company and I planed to start a business.

Likes

Student life is quite good. Campus is vibrant all the time
Infrastructure is good. Lecture hall complexes are very good.
Professors are very helpful and explain everything very clearly and guides us.

Dislikes

Internship season is not good and this is not expected from this prestigious institute
Mess food is not good and hostel staff are also not cooperative.
Inter campus facility is not good. Very few buses and BOVs are there inter campus transportation

Placement Experience:

Students of 7th and 8th semester are eligible for placements. This year the placement season is not so good and internships are worst. Tiger analytics hired majority of the students this year. Cse has decent percentage of students placed and with decent package. Students here has multiple plans after btech like some plan for abroad, some opt placements, MBA, gate etc..

The Centre of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good and slowly developing. It was inaugurated on 20th June 2016 by Prof. R. V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar. The Department of Science & Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned 1.50 Crore for the establishment of this canter. The vision behind the establishment of this startup center was to have an enrollment of a minimum of 10 startups in the 1st year of its commencement. The facilities provided at the Centre of Entrepreneurship are food court facility, lodging facility, working/office space, internet facility, electricity facility, laboratory facility, mentoring services, and seed grant maximum up to 2.5 lakh. For the selection procedure, initiation letters for opening startups are yet to be given. Form A is for individuals and teams and form B is for Registered Units Ancillaries and Subsidiaries of establishment Firms. This cell can prove to be a good initiative provided the management and faculty implement innovative ideas too. The highlight of this center is their conduction of Esummit. It is a two-day event which hosted lectures by eminent personalities across various domains. The Centre of Entrepreneurship also organized a workshop on “Funding Opportunities and Legal Aspects of Startups” on 9 April 2016.
