Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

Great Institute to consider

Remarks:

As I pursued my Btech from IIT Madras, I was persistent to continue my MTech from the same institution. So, I took up the MTech CSE course at IIT Madras. As far as the general aspects of the institute. The institute is highly excellent in terms of Placement, academic excellence, global exposure, experiential learning experience, international collaborations and partnerships, qualified faculty, etc. My admission was purely done based on the last qualifying exams, GATE scores and I underwent the COAP counselling process for the selection process.

"IIT Madras, a heaven for true justice "

Remarks:

I have heard about the glorious physics department of IIT Madras and its well known prof's. The culture and the work environment of IIT Madras was so impressive with all good collaborations with worlds best university. The syllabus that was taught within a short semester may be sometimes hectic for the students but it develop us with our hidden potentials.

Remarks:

IIT MADRAS is one of the most renowned and prestigious institution which is excellent in terms of providing quality education services, incredibly knowledgeable faculty, challenging and vast curriculum, impressive placements records, amazing campus environment, etc. Admission for the BTech was done based on the 10+2 scores and JEE Main scores.

IIT madras is one of the prestigious institute of India. It has NIRF 1. It has decent placement over the years. There are huge opportunities to go to foreign Universities for further studies. Their course structure is well planned.

My B.Tech-CSE at IIT Madras

Remarks:

The obvious reason for choosing IIT Madras is its top ranking and Global recognition. IIT Madras was 1st for BTech as well as overall 2020 rankings of NIRF. The institute is AICTE approved and the most famous program at IITM is BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. The score in JEE is the factor on whose basis admissions to the institute are done as per the JOSAA counselling.

Remarks:

IITM is one of the most prestigious institutions of the country, holding NIRF Rank 1 for the past few years consecutively. I chose IITM because it is close to Bangalore, my city of residence. IITM has a flexible curriculum with ample opportunities for everyone to explore their interests.

Great college, you'll have a good experience here.

Remarks:

Good exposure as well as more diversity than other IITs, NIRF Rank 1, good location in a large metro city unlike Kanpur, Kharagpur, etc. Provides IITD and IITB level exposure in IITK level ranks. Suited rank as IITD and IITB entrance ranks are astronomically high. Good balance between research and career unlike other IITs thata re more career focused.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons. The online BS in Data Science and Application allows students to gain knowledge of this field from one of the most reputed engineering colleges in India.

The online lectures are taught by experienced faculty members from IITM. What I found most interesting was the professors' distinct approach to teaching. The students are routinely assisted by committed and supportive staff.

IIT Madras has undertaken a unique approach to imparting their expertise in the highly demanded field of Data Science.

What are your thoughts on IIT Madras offering a bachelor's degree/diploma online?

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.

The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.

Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.
