You have a good percentage in high school and jee you'll get scholarships like 1.4 lakh.
Faculties were very friendly and approachable,motivated students who lack in academics, encourage students who are talented, solve their doubts
The infrastructure of the campus just looking like a wow, the cub activities provided here is well good to equiped by the students and has many field of interest of the students the club activities are provided

Dislikes

Sometimes the mess food worst. It's based on the mood of the contract team. I literally hate that kind of attitude.
Sometimes you might feel a stress of the curriculum has there will be a limited time
their rules are a bit more rude and strict

Review on College Life

Likes

The campus scenery and infrastructure is good.
The weather and facilities available for students.
The extra shops and facilities available in girls hostel.

Dislikes

The less amount of core companies coming for placement
The fact that there are minimal cultural activities for students
Comparatively less exposure to the real world

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester but there has been only core company that has come for Biotechnology students till now and students who want to work after their course are finding it hard to get a job. I have to start applying for off campus since it is hard to get settled otherwise.

We were eligible from the 7th semester for the campus placement, I got placed in 2 companies which is nestle and Sutherland with a good package other than that there were many IT companies that visited the college

My experience in Karunya University

Likes

Serene environment and a lovely weather throughout the year.
Collaboration with fellow students and teachers.
Learning opportunity with electives, courses and class trips.

Dislikes

Cultural shock is one of the aspects that was not my favourite however, it was a new experience and I got to learn a lot in the span of 4 years.
Language barrier was another concern that was a bottleneck at times.
The food was really good however, the mess staff couldn't cook NorthIndian food that well.

Placement Experience:

The University offers a well-defined placement fair both on-campus and off-campus. The package for the placements can range anywhere between 2LPA to 12LPA for undergraduate students. Companies from almost all sectors have placement drives at Karunya.

Why choose karunya university for undergraduate studies

Likes

Campus atmosphere, the climate and place was apt.
Well trained faculties, helped me alot to find my passion and guided me through my projects and classes.
Well equipped laboratories, had all necessary instuments and workspace to conduct experiments

Placement Experience:

There was a separate section for campus placements and department faculties were also helpful. From the third year, the students were eligible to attend interviews and separate coaching for students was given from the college side. For my department, the most important company to visit was Nestle and other companies like Zoho also visited.

Placement Experience:

Students who do not have any arrears are eligible from the last semester for campus placement. Various companies offer placement in our program. I was placed in Zifo Technologies with a starting package of 4.3 lpa.

Likes

Classroom and laboratory infrastructure.
Staffs are experienced enough to make any concept clear.

Dislikes

Sometimes, you may get very busy with so many departmental work and the extracurriculars.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college happen at their peak during the final year of your degree program. Final-year students are given Placement Training during the initial days of their final year odd semester. Experts are called placement trainers for Technical as well as non-technical skill training.

Likes

Playground its very nice place to pass times and good climate

Dislikes

i Hate the distance from mess to hostel. it was 500m from hostel to mess

Course Curriculum Overview:

My brother graduated from Karunya he likes the college so I joined there. the faculty and student ratio is 1:2. In the Master level, each student has one professor as a guide. The teaching method was very good. each semester there were three internals and a final semester.

Course- very Interesting course and industry orientated and also Research oriented

Dislikes

Campus life - no room and importance for day scholars
Placement - least importance is given for placements
Rules and Regulations- Extremely strict, and favours only boys

Eligibility for Placements after the 6th Semester. Companies visited- Accenture, Zoho, zifo, mitisogo, The Archery Solutions, offers made- 1. Highest package- 12lpa. Average package- 5 LPA. 90% of the students get placed. My plan after getting a degree is to become an entrepreneur.

Review about the Karunya University

Likes

The infrastructure was nice and the subjects are intresting
The faculty members are good and the way of their teaching is also good

Dislikes

Morning we should go for the assembly regular assembly.

Placement Experience:

From the third semester students are eligible to attend the placements. The highest package is around 8 lakh per annum and the average package is around 3 lakh per annum. After getting the degree my plan is to pursue the Phd degree.

A great Institute for higher studies

Likes

Environment and Climate in and around the campus.
Very knowledgeable and helpful faculties.
Excellent Classroom, Laboratory and Hostel Infrastructures.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the Fourth year. Many companies arrive on the campus and take in many students to their company. Most students get placed but many students plan on going for their higher studies be it in India or Abroad.

One of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to him, it is very reputed in the country. The campus environment is peaceful and comfortable.

The infrastructure of its campus is very beautiful and various kinds of facilities are available for the students.
The laboratories available at this college are good and equipped with modern machinery.
There are hostels available for the students. All basic facilities such as laundry service are being provided to the students.
These facilities are a big relief to those students who don't have enough free time to wash their clothes.
The rules and regulations of this institution are very strict, especially for girls.
The campus is far away from the main city of Coimbatore, sometimes it becomes difficult to travel from the city to campus.
You will have to take permission from the administration for almost everything by writing them a letter or an application.

Hence, the rules and regulations of this university are very strict and you will have to abide by all the rules if you wish to study at this university.

A few of my friends have studied here and their experiences have been moderate. Karunya University has improved over the years but you cannot expect too much from here.

Following are some of the pros and cons of the university:

Pros –

Good infrastructure with well-equipped facilities including hostels
Climate is good throughout the year.
Ragging is comparatively low.
If you are a person who accumulates arrears this is the place for you. University will help you out, a supplementary examination is held in the middle of a semester just to help students clear their arrears.
WiFi connection is available.
You can choose faculties as per your wish

Cons –

There is a morning assembly every day. This includes starting prayer, ending prayer and in between someone will pray for you from the stage. You should maintain 80% of attendance for Assembly.
Management is not efficiently managed
The grading system is not fair. There will be four to five faculties for the same subject.

If you are opting for Karunya University, then go only for CSE as only it is good. Other departments like ECE and EE do not have proper faculty members or infrastructure. Do not waste your time in such departments.
