Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

Placement opportunities were very awesome
Fees are very less . Good for every person.
It is well connected to other places in Kolkata

Infrastructure could be made better and more up to date

Placement Experience:

Our college is specially renowned for placements . More than one students get placements will above 1 crore . The average placement is around 20 LPA and students can also apply for internships from 3rd year itself .

Likes

Good campus life, cheap affordable and hygenic food
Fests are wonderful, all kinds of events are there
Lots of trees plantes across the campus, friendly seniors

Placement Experience:

One of the best placements provided in the entirety of India, branches like Mechanical, Civil and Construction have seen 100% placements. Infact, the entire placement percentage is 88%, which is outstanding!!

Likes

Almost everything- the campus life is amazing placement is available in the engineering section. Infrastructure is alsoo great more or less.
Various clubs are there and they are very active. There are so many events that take take place. The campus is huge.
JU is known for letting people express themselves. You'll see the whole campus flooded with wall paintings, you'll often hear the beautiful sound of a flute coming, people practicing dance at gandhi bhavan...in short it's a magical experience.

Dislikes

Political reasons lead to a lot of problems in the campus. That's the only thing I dislike about it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the subject as I was interested in learning history. The faculty members are all eminent scholars and hold PHD.degree and the quality of teaching is great. Every sem has various number of papers. For each core paper you have 2 internals of 10marks each and 30marks for sem. Questions are neither too easy nor too difficult to answer. Sometimes they are difficult to be honest, but if you study well then I dont think it would be difficult to pass. 80% of the class have pass marks in the exams.

quite good, high RoI, number of companies visiting depends on the year, a high number of students get placed some even with double or triple offers, for coding/sde roles, very high packages are found, core companies also visit the campus

JU: The Best Government College in West Bengal

Likes

The campus life is very vibrant and there is an overall laid back attitude on campus.
The teachers are very helpful and help you in understanding every thing.
There is much amity between the seniors and juniors. They are quite helpful in almost all matters.

Dislikes

The exams are very tough and not studying rigourously may lead to failing in certain papers.
The administration is not efficient and you may face lot of problems in trying to get work done.
The campus toilets are not at all hygienic. Oftentimes the toilets are broken or out of service.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty student ratio is about 1:60. The course is very well rounded and apart from core micro and macro economics, maths and other allied subjects relevant to jobs in this field are taught. The teachers are suitably qualified with most of them having Phd and post doctorate in their respective domains.

My Experience

Likes

Teaching skills of some of the professors of our department .
The cultural heritage. Everybody has him/her own opinion.
The fees structure. Affordable for students from all backgrounds.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the university have to be better.
The campusing or job opportunities for arts faculty students.
The maintenance of playgrounds. It should be better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I started studying political science in class xi. I really love this subject from then. My 10+2 teachers suggested me that for political science honours, Jadavpur University (Department of International Relations) is a perfect choice. The number of student ratio in my class is 1:2 ; most of them are girls. All of the professors are very good. There teaching style is so unique. The exam are quite tuff, conceptual. 2 semesters in a year.

Campus life is relatively less rigorous and free
No fixed attendence criteria, and free-er faculty

Dislikes

Politics in the campus and their in-the-face agenda
Least respect for people with contrary opinions

Placement Experience:

placement differs amoungst departments but on an average 15LPA average in plavements can be expected overall highest being CSE , followed by ETCE , IT , IEE , EE..... and so on. Return of investment is way beyond IITs considering the mere tuition fees

Faculty is excellent.. Well educated.. ..
Campus life is wonderful... So much greenery...
Fest is great.. so much in Feb March.. Library is great.

Internals and sem exam are tough.. have to study hard
Infrastructure need to be better.. Wifi ...
Website is poor.. crash often... Sometimes politics become a problem.

Placement Experience:

Placement is mainly for Engg students.. placement take place on the 4th year.. Amazon, Google, FACEBOOK hire employees from here... Last year many students got 1cr package.. more than 95 students get placed
