Jadavpur University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. The placement cell of Jadavpur University is phenomenal boasting a placement percentage of 95% despite the global recession in with average package being 11 LPA for Chemical Engineering. Top recruiters from tech include Adobe, Amazon, Google, IBM. Recruiters from finance and consultancy are Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte. Top recruiters from core are IOCL, TATA, ITC, Reliance. Highest package offered was 1.8 Cr. 2023 placements was concluded with 1200 offers and more than 1000 students were recruited. I personally have not thought of placements, I want to pursue Entrepreneurship to make a significant impact on society.

The campus placement here is very good. We observed our seniors getting very good placements with high packages . The average CTC is around 11 LPA and for CSE it is around 24 LPA. In Jadavpur University around 95 percentage of students get placement offers also others go for higher studies.

As a tire one University there are no placement session it's a ongoing process.from 4th sem you are eledible for internship and from 5 th sem you are eligible for placement. There are too many companies that you can't count from tech to core and finance also .I am taking the name of some of them only . Apple. Microsoft. Texus instrument. Airbus.google. Adobe . Capgemini. Paytm phonepa. Flipkart .ICICI bank .PWC and many more about 200 companies come there. Last year the highest package was 87lpa from a ETCE guy and tha avarage package of our college is 11lpa . IN OUR college above 92% get placed last year and in our department it was 100%. I have some other plans actually I am not interested IT placement. I WILL try for core and finance sector.and I have also a plan for a fashion related startup as now I am in 1 St sem I have not decided it well it will take some more time to find out my interest and my capabilities to fit into it

The course faculty and members were very good the professor were helpful and made sure we have proper understanding of the subject also the syllabus was quite good as they covered aspect of mathematics that are currently important for research perspective as well as job perspective

After 6th semester and in the fourth year students become eligible for campus placements. More than 100 companies visits our campus and about more than 1000 offers make. In 2023 , the highest package is 85 lakhs per annum and from department of electronics and telecommunication engineering. Last year I mean in 2022, highest package was 1.8 crore per annum in Facebook and from department of computer science and engineering. In 2023 over 95 percent students were placed and in 2022 over 82 percent students were placed. Top it companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft top electronics core companies like Texas instruments, Qualcomm, Samsung and sometimes top PSU companies like IOCL, Bridge and roof co, IRCON, GAIL INDIA LTD, Engineers India Ltd recruits from our university. I want to work for govt sector. I am preparing for GATE and UPSC ESE. My aim is to join CPWD after getting my degree.

Course and Curriculum is based on NEP 2020 which is quite hectic but the faculty is really cool. There is no teacher in this institute who has less than 20 years of teaching experience along with multiple research papers produced throughout the years

I have chosen this course because of my interest in this field, and also because it opens many more fields in the future. The faculty student ratio is about 1:2 which is very good in any circumstance. Most of our professers have done phd and have even done so in reputed colleges and they have a nice teaching style. They teach all the points related to the topic and even solve our doubts.

English department of Jadavpur university is top class department in whole India and also in th world. girls: boys are about 1:3 Semester exams happen after 5 months of teaching. Professors of the department is awesome

Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester.All kinds of companies visit the campus from core, consultancy to Tech . It has one of the best placements in India . The highest package last year was 1.5 cr with 12 lakh being the average. Around 95% students are placed .

Normally, students become eligible for campus placements in their final year. The placements statistics of the year 2023 are outstanding. In the year 2023, Mechanical Engineering Department recorded a placement percentage of 100 percent. 92 Companies visited for placements. Core placements had a share of 64 percent, Consulting, Analytics and Finance Placements - 22 percent and IT placements - 14 percent. Median CTC offered was 8 LPA and the Average CTC offered was 8.42 LPA. Highest package of 22.75 LPA was given by a Software company - Increff. Highest package in the Core Sector was given by 'Cair Oil and Gas'. The CTC was 14.1 LPA. Many other companies like PWC, ZS Associates, Airbus, Accenture, Tata Metaliks, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, HSBC, Cognizant, etc visited for placements.
