From 5th semester you can get internship from university and from 7th semester you can get placement. I'm a 1st semester student so i don't have too much idea about placement and internship. But most of the 95% students got placed from our university.

From 7 th semester the placement starts where a placement coordinator is chosen among the students and the students invite companies of their choice for placements. The placement record is above 95 in all departments and average package ranges from 5-20 lpa for different departments.

This course has great placement opportunities and average package is 22 LPA . Profeessors are top notch quality. Term exams i.e. the semester exams are held after Every 6 months . The course was started by JU in the year 2000.

B. E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering is generally a 4 year course until you opt for integrated courses. Here, in these 4 years consists of many semesters and various class tests in which you have to perform well to get good grades.

Students are eligible for internships from 2nd year itself and campus placements from 3rd year itself. A lot of big companies - Amazon, Google, Hotstar, Wipro, GoldmannSachs etc. recruit from our college and allow all circuital departments including power Engineering. This year's placement stats might be a little less due to recession but overall JU has a great placement cell with a 96% placement rate.

Students become eligible for placements in the 4 th year (engineering). The placement of Jadavpur University is beyond imagination. Because no other colleges can give you this kind of huge placement. Almost every single students got placed in different companies and in our university the placement percentage is 100% which means 100% students get placement in different companies and the students who doesn't get placement they don't take the placement for the purpose of doing masters and PhD degree . After completing my course I will M.E-PhD degree from foreign universities because I have a great interest in the research field.

Students are allowed to get internship from 5th semester and generally the placement starts from 6 th semester end . The top recruiters of Jadavpur University in placements 2023 were Google, Microsoft, Texas Industries, Samsung, etc. Apart from this, according to Jadavpur University Engineering NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during Jadavpur University BTech and MTech placements 2022 stood at INR 10 LPA and INR 9.10 LPA. Jadavpur University Placements 2023 is concluded with 1200 offers. More than 1000 students were placed. Jadavpur University highest package stood at INR 85 LPA. 35 offers ranged between INR 45 LPA & INR 80 LPA whereas 100+ offers ranged between INR 35 LPA & INR 45 LPA.
