Jadavpur University Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

For science banking corporates and edtechs are the main companies who hire. Other than that Amazon, Google, Dell, hp, Mera, TCS, Wipro, SBI, ONGC, etc. are the biggest companies that hire engineering students. One of the students managed to get a package of 1.8 crores in the UK. We also prefer studying for exams like NET, JAM, GATE, SSC CGL, UPSC, etc.

Here is the placement cell. So after 3rd year, you will be eligible for placement. Through placement cells, many good companies came and hired many students. Overall 100% of placement happened through the placement cell. Besides you can also apply for off-campus placement.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th and 8th semester onwards. The top recruiter companies in Jadavpur University are Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple etc. The highest package provided is INR 1.8 CPA(Facebook) , INR 1.4 CPA(Google) , INR 1.1 CPA (Amazon) . Average package is 30 LPA (For CSE), 25.51 LPA (For IT) , 22 LPA (For ETCE) , 14.25 LPA (For IEE) . Percentage of students getting placed is 89.01% overall. After getting the degree I will sit for placement.

I chose this course because I want to study at a good college. And also the fees of Jadavpur University is too cheaper than other Government engineering colleges. The faculty is good. The strength of our department is very less around 23. That's why we all have a very good bonding with each other. Qualifications of faculty probably MTech, Ph.D., and some years of industry experience. We have 2 semesters in a year and 4 CTs (class tests). If you go to class regularly then you can easily pass on the semester.

Students can apply for on-campus internships from the 5th semester and for placements from the 7th semester. Many companies from Google, Amazon, and apple to Deloitte, Razorpay, slice, grab more than 150 companies visit campus and make offers of more than 1.9k Last year's highest package was 1.8 cr per annum from google London for the SDE role. Around 80-90% of students get placed in JU and ETCE has a 100% placement record. Though college offers great placements, I'm willing to do an MBA after my graduation.

The placements in JU are very good. It happens throughout the whole year and you can sit for it if you have the required skills or experience. And if you didn't get placed on-campus you can always opt for off-campus and prepare yourself for further education which is also a very good option. Students can sit from the 6th semester for the pre-placements. And the percentage of students getting placed is like 95/100.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Students can sit for internships from the 5th semester. Companies like Google, Amazon, DE Shaw, Deutche Bank, Slice, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, Accenture, PwC, ITC, Samsung, Salesforce, Razorpay, Flipkart, Atlassian, etc. are prominent recruiters. More than 150 companies came for placements and more than 1450 offers were made. The highest CTC was 1.8crPA by Meta for the role of SDE and the average package was 12.8 LPA. More than 90% of students who registered for placements got placed. I plan to have a job after getting my degree and maybe pursue higher education later on.

I chose this course because there lot of government jobs in the civil engineering Dept. There have student and faculty ratio is about 1:10. faculty are highly knowledgeable and experienced .there have per yr 2 semesters and 4 class tests per.

The faculty is very good. The faculty members and course curriculum are very good and it is known not only in west Bengal but also in India. There are almost 40 teaching members. They are all well qualified. There are internal exams as well as semester exams. If one attends the classes, it is easy to pass the exam.

U will get eligibility from 1st year and can avail semester from 2nd semester. Many companies like Facebook, amazon, Microsoft, and google visited this year. The highest package offered was 1.8 CPA and 10.2 LPA an average. In IT 100% of students are placed. I want to be a software engineer after my degree.
