I have taken the Information Technology branch as I was interested in coding domain. The faculty:student ratio is about 1:10. The teachers are very friendly , well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching style of every teacher is not so good. You will have to study of your own some of the things. There are class tests, sesional disclosive and semester exams , viva for practicals. The semester exams are moderate , you can score a good marks by preparing 15 days prior to examination. But to score above very much marks you have to study hard. The course is very flexible , you will get enough time to explore new things and follow your passion.

For master's, campus placement is less compared to bachelor's courses, Company visited less in numbers, but still, 30 - 40 percent of students get placed, some went for Ph.D. in IIT, and some got placed off campus. On-campus placement average package is around 4 lacs.

Best Placement last year's placements stats was the highest in the chemical batch nearly almost 95 students were placed out of a batch of 99 and one international offer was in the core branch. That too some have got like 3 to 4 offers

The placements are awesome in ju. Each and every student gets placement in a department every year and the package is 12-15lpa avg ( though it depends on some specific departments). Many students opt for higher studies and they used to get into top institutes like IITs, IIMs, IISC, DRDOs, ISROs, and many more FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES. Placement in ju is 100% and this is why it is a TIER 1 COLLEGE.

I had no intention to become an engineer, hence economics was my choice. The faculty-student ratio is decent, batches are not huge. Exams are quite difficult to score, especially in the pre-final year. There have been instances of good students scoring 10%-20% marks in internals. The frequency of exams was as follows - 3rd sem started in August, exams started at the end of August, the whole of September, the whole of November, and the whole of December. The new semester starts mid-January. That gives you a picture I believe. Professors are generally good, and some are great. However I suggest non-Bengalis please refrain from coming here, during my viva a professor started in Bengali, and when I told them that I don't know it that well, they said "Why not, you have to know it", "Why should we not speak in Bangla in our state". It was my Viva at that time but all I wanted to say was, with all due respect professor, the medium of instruction is English, you must speak in that. But, not all professors are like that.

Many companies come to our university and offer jobs. During the placement, our professors prepare very well and get the job easily.In our University, the highest package is 1.83 crore rupees and the lowest package is 6 lakh rupees.

From the seventh of the eighth semester, students become eligible for the placements. Most of the top companies visit for recruitment every year like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, etc. The highest package was offered by meta in 2022 of 1.8 cr and the average package was 12.8 lakh in 2022.

The placement offered by our university is one of the best in the country if we compare it with the IITs. Because the placements it is providing at such a cheap fee structure are unimaginable. Being a student of the mechanical engineering department I've seen my seniors get placements in different companies with a nice salary and job security in both Core and Non-core sectors. I wish to opt for jobs in core companies.

One can be eligible for campus placement in his/her fourth year. The placement scenario in JU is pretty good. Some famous companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, etc visited this year. In the core sector, some famous companies like Airbus, L&T, etc visited this year. This year highest package offered on-campus is 1.2crpa(made by Google). The average package is 12lpa around. Every year above 85% of students are placed. Many students opt for higher studies and government exams.
