Mostly positive remarks. Though as the university is under west Bengal govt the funding is less thus the facilities are sometimes lesser than IITs. The processes are still carried on by khata, using computers in data management of University hasn't make a way. Thus making the process very slow.

The quality of teaching imparted in this Institute is high quality. Timely publication of research and is a hub of research opportunities. The food available in the canteen is also cheap. However, the physical infrastructure of this University is sometimes lacking and the washrooms are also seldom not clean.

Jadavpur University takes admission only through WBJEE. Before 2019 there was no home state quote, however, from 2019, the university added a 90% domicile system for West Bengal students. Now the admission process is quite similar to JOSAA. Everyone has to fill choices and then seats are allotted according to rank. After getting a document verification certificate from reporting center visit the university on the dates given on their website. After the necessary verification of the documents, all the original ones will be returned except the document verification certificate issued by reporting center. They will keep a self-attested photocopy of the documents. The admission occurs in July month. This university is one the best in India for engineering and its return of investment is awesome. My college was very focused about studies and gave a lot of emphasis on overall students development. They used to conduct extra classes as well. The personality development classes were also really helpful.

Except the facilities ,I don't have any complaint. This college is very good in academic ,in all round development all because of the students and the Union where our senior and hostel mates classmates all are ready to help each other.

This is one of the best Universities all over the Eastern India undoubtedly. It has many record since long time. all the students of various departments are well placed. there have great teaching faculties also.

When I was in 10th . I decided to do engineering because it's my dream. Then I appeared for west bangal joint entrance exam and I got good rank and I selected for jadavpur university which is top college of india(NIRF: 16th rank). So You have to give wb jee entrance examination to take admission in this college.

I had to rank in entrance examination, there were limited seat and the exam was a little hard. I ranked 3 and got the chance to take admission. Admission fees in very low other than any University. Entrance exam will based on your subject with some general intelligency questions.
