Placement opportunities: the college is known to have a good placement record, with students securing placements in reputed companies.
They teach in a very good way and they help us to gain knowledge.
I chose amritha vishwa vidyapeetham because of its great atmosphere and the amazing scenery given from the mountains and the amazing faculty and infrastructure given at amritha, coimbatore and more accessible to me to go from every day

Dislikes

Hostel is also the worst, no attach bathrooms and bathrooms are also worst bad quality no maintenance.no a/c
The placement system from the last year is bad and they're blaming it on the recession
I chose this course because i like the course minimum qualification is mtech depending on the semester courses it is very difficult to pass the exams questions papers are very tough and we should work very hard during exams.

The faculty here are of PhD graduates and have more knowledge which helps us to get better conversation and helps us the most
syllabus curriculum was very good and dosent need for any other online courses
hostel is the best with good quality mess food and high wifi

Dislikes

less events are present and mostly are of spiritual one

From 5,6 semesters people are eligible for campus placements. Here it is centralized placements and mostly95 percentage people will be getting placed There will be many companies visiting and the packages will be decided by the performance of the students

Amrita University in a Nutshell

Likes

The college infrastructure (education blocks) are really good. The buildings are well maintained, all needed features like plug points for each benches are provided. Lab computers are in good working conditions with necessary softwares installed
Professors are very well trained and are capable. The teaching staff are dedicated towards their job. Professors encourage students to work on projects with them. They are willing to take extra classes for students who can't cope up with the class.
The course curriculum is updated with advance subjects and upto date technologies. The basics are cleared before taking on programming courses. Even a student who has no experience of coding will be able to cope up with the syllabus.

Dislikes

This college has too much restrictions. One must apply for a pass 24 hrs to exit the campus. The pass has to be approved the hostel warden. If someone wishes to go out on weekdays they need approval from their class advisor which is inconvenient.
The hostel facilities are not upto the mark. The facilities that they provide are not worth for the fees that students pay. Cleanliness is maintained but basic facilities like hot water are not provided properly(The climate is very cold here)
There are very less college fests. As compared to other colleges, events are below average. There are only 2 cultural events conducted per year. Club related activities and leadership roles are almost null. This college doesn't allow freshers party.

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for placements from 7th sem that is 4th year. Almost all top companies from their respective fields visit the campus. Highest offer was 54 lakhs offered by Rubrik. Avg for CSE is around 12 lpa. 95% students get placed and some opt for higher studies. My plan is to get a job after graduating.

Campus area is so vast and climate here is very peaceful with greenary everywhere and filled with peacocks in between.
Academics are very good with well trained and experienced student friendly staff and can gain great knowledge than any other

Dislikes

As this is a vegetarian campus, they won't provide non vegetarian in hostel mess.We can get egg and fish from canteens but that's not free.
They make us to wear uniform and that's not liked by me.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements will be held at the starting of 4th year and many companies visits to select students in different roles.We can also go for taking masters and mtech apart from the placements.I'm trying to getting placed in the placements that are going to held next year.

Amrita Vishwa vidyapeeth, coimbatore - the serine life

Likes

The college is very good and it a lot in extra curricular
The campus is very big and it supports lot of activities and it is essentially very important, very nice environment study and pursue engineering and this helps my career a lot and this can help me to join foreign universities
Is very good in placement and I like that it helps everyone to be placed

Dislikes

The card is very strict and sometimes check the uniform. That is the problem here
The college expects the students to buy uniform which I feel it's not a very good thing. But still that is the dress code there. I feel this as a dislike
It's not a very friendly environment to talk to the opposite gender here in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course which you are studying the b tech engineering computer science course is following the same curriculum and syllabus of the IIT madras course. So the syllabus is very competitive and tough and it has a high value

Amrita School of Business Coimbatore, good campus life.

Likes

I liked the campus mainly due to the green campus environment.
Good infrastructure, great environment to have evening walks
Good ground for sports and also good canteen facility

Dislikes

Mandatory outpass for going out is a barrier sometimes if its an emergency.
less holidays for festivals, unable to go home.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good on this campus. We have had so many big companies to recruit from our college. average salary package to our seniors was around 7-8 LPA. The highest was 16LPA if I remember. Our batch had so many zero selects after the company attended because the election time was nearing and the market was dull. But they will try their maximum to get everyone placed.

Life in Amrita

Likes

The ambience of the college is fabulous. Very nature friendly campus situated in the valley of Western ghats.
Department of chemistry is pretty good. The faculties motivate us more into the research side which helps to build a deep knowledge about the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In chemistry, the syllabus is just awesome. Since we are doing an integrated course, we are learning the MSc topics also. And the design of the curriculum is such that when we learn one course, there will be no repetition. We won't study that again in any other semester. The courses are also helping us to copeup with the real world.

We have any time approachable faculties, highly qualified and supportive
College infrastructure is definitely a trade mark of our campus
The whole campus is clean and hygienic with dustbins kept in every routes

Dislikes

College securities are at times pathetic and rude to students
Girls are not supposed to be at the college ground after 6 o'clock

Course Curriculum Overview:

Laboratory setups are so good and they have qualified lab assistants to help us with the instruments and experiments. We have about 8 to 10 experiments per semester so that in a single semester we learn to handle a number of experiments and instruments. The classes start from 8:50 in the morning till 4:35 evening. The reason why I choose to join this college is because of the research background. More effective PhD works are being done in the college.

I like the concept they chose for the students and the syllabus is way too good
We got good placements for the previous years

Dislikes

The hostel facility is very bad for the students
The placement system from the last year is bad and they're blaming it on the recession

The placements are actually good when I joined but nowadays like form the past two years they are actually too low and they're blaming it on recession and there are many companies like Bosch, L&T, Microsoft, Cisco and many more and the percentage of students getting placed is around 50 percentage this year and my plan is to get a job after getting the degree

I chose Amritha vishwa vidyapeetham Because of its great atmosphere and the amazing scenery given from the mountains and the amazing faculty and infrastructure given at Amritha, Coimbatore and more accessible to me to go from every day
The infrastructure is really amazing and easy to cope with
The faculty is really amazing and respectful to the kids

Dislikes

The main is the food. The food is really hard to consume.
The hostel situation is really bad being one lakh for room with four people is really difficult
The bathroom station in the hostel is not that great

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.

College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.

Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years.
