Placement opportunities: the college is known to have a good placement record, with students securing placements in reputed companies.
They teach in a very good way and they help us to gain knowledge.
I chose amritha vishwa vidyapeetham because of its great atmosphere and the amazing scenery given from the mountains and the amazing faculty and infrastructure given at amritha, coimbatore and more accessible to me to go from every day

Dislikes

Hostel is also the worst, no attach bathrooms and bathrooms are also worst bad quality no maintenance.no a/c
The placement system from the last year is bad and they're blaming it on the recession
I chose this course because i like the course minimum qualification is mtech depending on the semester courses it is very difficult to pass the exams questions papers are very tough and we should work very hard during exams.

A best place to develop your knowledge with a enjoyable college life.

Likes

The thing i like about the college is the environment and location where the college is located.The climate is so good here.
The infrastructure is soo good here and labs are equipped with advanced equipment. Over wide the campus WiFi is provided to access the materials.
Most of the faculty are phd holders from reputed university.And they are ready to help us anytime if you have doubts in studies or projects.

Dislikes

As the college is far away from city.So travelling will be difficult here.Train facilities are provided here.
As the college doesn't allow non veg food inside the campus and outside the campus there are minimum number of restaurants.Also inside the campus only eggs are allowed in only one canteen.
The food here will be average.As the food is prepared by kerla chef the food will be average.And there is no non veg provided in the mess.

Placement Experience:

Mostly the campus placement will start at 6 th semester.The companies like tcs,wipro, cognizant,Bosch etc...Like these most of the top companies visits here.Mostly 96% of the students are placed with good packages.My plan is to pursue higher education after my graduation.

How is life at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore

Likes

The campus atmosphere is top class here. Located under the beauty of Western Ghats, this campus is known for its greenery.
The staffs working here are so kind, helpful and also encouraging.
The placements are too good. You can easily get a job after 4 years.

Dislikes

The college is located far from the center of the city, Coimbatore
Mobile data network is quite slow here, but top speed is wifi is provied for free inside the campus
Few of the buildings are old here. Maybe renovated in future.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements starts at your third year. Top MNCs like Google, TCS, Wipro visit here. Almost 90 percentage of students are placed. Average salary pack for IT domain is 6Lpa and Core domain is 9Lpa

It is a beasutiful campus, filled with greenery
Faculty is well qualified and very interactive
Tech and core faciliteies are in par with top government institutes.

Dislikes

It is compulsory for all students to wear uniform
Need for students to apply gate pass to get out of campus
Very strict management and faculty and strict hostel timings.

Placement Experience:

students are eligible to sit in placements after the 6th semester and an app is provided for students to apply to their desired company. around 300+ companies visit our campus. the top recruiters are Google, Microsoft etc. core companies such as BHEL, L&T, siemens, bosch, Mercedes, Yamaha also recruit.

during my time at college i truly valued the depth of knowledge and passion displayed by the faculty members
i found the course curriculum to be relevant and challenging. it was regularly updated to reflect the industry trends .
engaging with campus life was one of the highlights of my college experience

Dislikes

we don't have nonveg in our college mess neither in the college canteens and we also can't order it from outside.

Placement Experience:

i am still in 2nd year and i'm not much aware of the college placements honestly,but i have discussed about it with my seniors and came to know that most of them are placed in the college placements and some had plans of doing their masters and was not willing to take up the college placements.The students from 6th semester are eligible for campus placements .The name of the companies are Cognizant ,infosys ,amazon ,deloitte,hcl,a ccenture and 98 more. 360 offers were made in the year 2018-19, with the highest package of 28.4 LPA and the average placements was for 6.68 lacks per annum, 90 companies for summer placements with Rs40000 highest stipend.Placements at amrita has been excellent .Based on the statistics made by college ,the percentage of students getting placed are 100% .The highest salary is paid by RKN Project. My plans after getting the degree are not yet planned.

Life at Amrita in a nutshell

Likes

Peaceful and beautiful Campus environment especially during monsoon
Resources in library and a great reading environment
Healthy Competitiveness with colleagues and occasional events

Dislikes

Hostel maintenance and food provided at mess and canteen
Far location of campus from the city is a major concern
Evaluation of exams are too strict to maintain a decent cgpa

Placement Experience:

Placements are average to good here and it starts from the 6th semester mostly. The package ranges between 6 to 12 lpa on average. Many companies like tcs, Wipro, and Bosch visit every year. Nearly 80 per cent of students get into campus placements. I would choose to higher studies after my degree

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is a cross-breed course between computer science engineering and electrical and electronics engineering, so we need to cover both of them simultaneously. All our staff members have PhDs in their responsibility fields

Life At Amrita.

Likes

Nature, Peaceful campus, Big Ground Facility.
Hostels are good and the food is also ok most of times.
Its a old college although the labs and classes are not that old and some are being reconstructed also.

Dislikes

No connectivity to transport. Need to wait for trains or bus for long time.
The wifi connection and the way they maintain washing scheme is bad.
Some faculty who are absolute headache, no communication or information about the events in the college.

Placement Experience:

Still we had not been through placements but there are good placements only for the people who are well skilled there is a special coarse for interships and for the job interveiw but we need to do a lot of work from our side.

I liked the strict curriculum followed by the university for students.
I like the infrastructure of university. There is a library of three floors m
I like the academic planning which is designed by University.

Dislikes

I don't like the mess food in university.
I don't like the payment system in campus they only allow cash from students. No upi payments.
Hot water in hostel comes only in morning

Placements are quite good in university compared to other universities. Highest ctc of 56 lakhs is offered for our previous batch seniors. Almost 100% students are getting placed in any one of the company.

The culture and traditions are totally good and they follow many strict rules which make students well disciplined
The climate was so peaceful and enjoying there is no stress of studying by teachers or management

Dislikes

There is strict rule on eating non veg, and the non veg is not allowed inside the campus
There is no airconditioner in the classrooms and as they take lot of money but they are not ready provide even airconditioner in classrooms
There are some faculty who torcher their students with lot of actions that are not so good for students

I choosed electronics and communication engineering because it is ever green course and we have all the advantages, it is heart of engineering and it also has many applications in AI which is presently in trending.Our circulum is very well designed, when one lecturer of one subject is teaching particular lesson the same related topic will also be viewed in other subject so that all the students can understand the motto of that topic.The area of improvement is not only teaching we also have to understand by physical examples.the exams are perfectly arranged but if you are upto date with subjects you will not feel difficult to write exams.

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.

College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.

Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years.
