8000 is tution fees here and lots of scholarship like e grants and many other for students and lower caste people getting more scholarship...as a aid ... and it's nice policy mcm is a good scholarship
The faculty to student ratio is appropriate they provide great support highly skilled faculties good quality mentoring good in interactions and helping in study they reach out to us for any help regarding the syllabus
Life in gec us best best policy,best pics and best freedom here is best and nice we can think well and well established life here is peace peace fullued with peace no dugs no other misallenious activities in gec

Dislikes

The ladies hostel in our college is the shittiest ever .
There is no playground's in my college so we missed a lot of activities there.
No of students interested in b.tech is getting lower and lower by year

Government engineering college, palakkad

Likes

College area is huge, has ground separated.
Library having wide variety of books, also has department separate library.
Good faculties having great knowledge in respective subjects.

Dislikes

Lab facilities may be damaged and takes time to repair
Time of reparing and everything lag needs permission

Course Curriculum Overview:

Aspects of my scheme of education is poor, computer science course is a really much improving technology so old scheme and syllabus is very outdated. Frequency of exams is good which helps in studying up-to-date

good infrastructure, and great place to learn

Dislikes

Not easily accessible from the town . its a rural area
No good placement facilities, we have to go to other colleges for attending placements

Placement Experience:

placement training will be given from 6th semester onwards, a 5 day training will given, which include aptitude training, soft skill devolopment and so on. the average salry lies between 4-6 lpa, . my plan after graduation is to take mtech, and then go to teaching field

A comprehensive college experience

Likes

The college campus has a beautiful view, with lot of greenery and an agricultural feel to it.
There are clubs like sports, arts,film etc. Tournaments are also there.
There are so many placement opportunities, mostly for IT sector.

Dislikes

We have to continously go to management to get permission,which can be frustrating and time consuming and financial support provided is inadequate.

The curriculum emphasis on problem solving,critical thinking and communictaion skills.The internal exams which tests students understanding of concepts,help build confidence in applying theoretical knowledge to practice prblems.

clean campus, green campus

Likes

Very excellent environment for studying.
Cleaning is done properly around the college
Beautiful canteen is provided for eating food and stuff

Dislikes

The ground is not properly used for sports
The painting of the building is not good
There is no car parking for students .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am actually into medical stuff so I would rate it about 3.5 star because it's more reliable in this college and it's too much close to my house and I can just go to college in the morning and come back to the house

College has good infrastructure .it consists seperate department block , department library,central library,gym , canteen,store and hostels too .
College has well qualified technical staffs and faculty .they are very supportive
College promotes extra curricular activities .sports and arts fest were held every year and proficient students are selected for university competition

Dislikes

The gym is not Well equipped and students have only access to gym in the evenings .
The number of hostel intakes are low compared to other college hostels .and the hostel facilities should be improved
The art and sport events are only held once in a year . The college should support more on extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

The college provides good placement packages and also provide placement training for students . almost 60+ companies associated with placement cell .the last yr students can apply for placements .the students having backlog are also elligable .60+ companys visited .some of the companies include TCS ,oracle ,Wipro ,anora ,j and j sourcing, cognizant,deltaX , L and T ,Shobha , MRF,LTI mindtree ,Infosys , Accenture etc . TCS 85 offers and Accenture 45 offers ,5+ offers were also provided by other companies.highest package is 25lpa while lovest is 3.5lpa and average of 4-5lpa .almost 50 percent students got placed .

Not bad I shared all my experiences

I appreciate the way of teaching and understanding
Teaching staffs are friendly and helpful
Classmates are friendly and helpful during assignments and group projects

Dislikes

College infrastructure and reception facilities
Washroom are not cleaned and can never use it
Labs have machines that not work and computers some are not working

Placement Experience:

From semester seven onwards students are capable of campus placements. The companies visited colleges mostly are private. Average package are two lakhs per annum. Students who cleared all subject can participate in getting placement. After getting degree may be I will look for a job or will try to pursue post graduation

The overall ambience of the college, as it is aesthetically pleasing to me with a lot of greenery and beautiful buildings.
The infrastructure is great and on par with many top colleges.
The celebrations and fests that happen in the college throughout the year, as well as workshops, hackathons, and other such fun events.

Dislikes

The amount of dogs inside the campus makes u feel unsafe at times.
There is no external motivation for you to study and you will have to be self motivated to come out on top.

Placement Experience:

The college has decent placements. Students from 3rd and 4th year appears for placements. The placement cell is very active. Companies like L&T, MRF visits for placements. The highest package last year was 32 LPA. Many students leave for higher studies abroad or gate preparation.

College environment is very positive and pleasant
They maintained very well infrastructure
They were provide so many programs for students

Dislikes

Hostel fees and the food was so pathetic
Transportation was not easier in that remote area
So much bad infrastructure was provided by college

The kTU was providing a very tight schedule for students , and exam was so disappointing during that time but we are studying and achieving a great remark for our academics and activities, the faculty was helped in that situation

THE TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL
THE COLLEGE BUS SERVICE IS GREAT AND RELIABLE
THE CANTEEN IS NICE, WITH GOOD FOOD AND GOOD ATMOSPHERE

Dislikes

THE LIBRARY IS JUST OKAY. IT WORKS , BUT IT COULD DEFINITELY BETTER
SPORTS FACILITIES ARE NOT GREAT, AND THERE IS NOT MUCH ENCOURAGEMENT FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN SPORTS
THE CANTEEN FOOD WAS LITTLE BIT EXPENSIVE

Placement Experience:

OUR COLLEGE HAS A PLACEMENT CELL THAT HELPS STUDENTS TO GET JOB OPPORTUNITIES. STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLACEMENTS STARTING FROM THE 7TH SEMESTER. SOME COMPANIES THAT VISIT FOR PLACEMENTS INCLUDE HMT, KELTRON, AND MRF. AROUND 25% OF STUDENTS GET PLACED THROUGH CAMPUS RECRUITMENT. THE AVERAGE SALARY IS AROUND 2-3 LAKHS PER YEAR AND THE HIGHEST SALARY IS AROUND 4-5 LAKHS PER YEAR. AS FOR ME, AFTER FINISHING MY DEGREE, I PLAN TO STUDY ABROAD FOR FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES.

Experience of an Engineering student

Likes

My collage is very beautiful landscape best space for study
Faculties are very honest and supportive
Annually they give an autoshow events that is awsome

Dislikes

There are too much dirty dogs that are making disgusting
Parking is an issue at out side of the collage
Entrance and the road of the collage are very bad

Our curriculum is little bit faster our university KTU is make semester exm very faster so our faculty is trying to make it fast so our course subjects we cant study deeply or fine ways exm time frequency is fair enough to wrote no problem
