IIIT Nagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

For a new college which was established in 2016 and providing such a good placement is really commendable. The college has a record of around 85% placement record why 85% because most of our batchmates went for higher studies. The college placement committee is very professional and plays a very important role during our placement rounds as our details are already with the committee so they are also successful in inviting companies as per our interest. The placement committee helps us and guide us during the placement process. The highest package for our batch was approx 44 LPA and the average package was around 12 LPA.

The college also provides a good placement all thanks to the placement committee of the college. The committee is not only hardworking but very supportive they guide the students throughout the placement process and help students to get placed in their desired company. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, etc visited our campus during the placement drive. The highest package for our batch was 4405 LPA and the average package was around 8.27 LPA. I also received a package of 15 LPA from TCS.

The placements of IIIT Nagpur are great.Top companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Microsoft, etc visited here.TCS is the partner of college under the PPP scheme of government, so it offers internships to many students in the 2nd,3rd years. The highest package was 44LPA offered by NUTANIX and 34 LPA byAmazon and the average package was 7to8 LPA .80 to 90 % of students get placed every year

Currently, for the 1st batch, there were 100% internships and almost all people got a job with an average of 8 lakh per annum. Few companies visited. Not it is growing more some people got 40 to 50 lakh this year off-campus. On-campus placements are not still very good. Getting placements here will totally depend upon you and your efforts.

From 2nd year Internships can be started. Companies visited are Nutanix, Goldman Sachs, Siemens Healthineers, etc. 89% got placed. The highest Package is 44.5 Lakhs. I want to do Masters in Artificial Intelligence.

Students from 3rd year become eligible for on-campus internships and from 4th year for on-campus placements. There are many companies visited like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Ericcson, Jio, Capgemini, Trdc, TCS, Naggaro and many more. The highest package for 2020 was 20 lakhs and the average was 8.75 lakhs. And for 2021 there is a good hike as the highest was 30 lakh and the average was 10.50 lakhs. And one got an offer from Apple, 3 from amazon,2 from gs,and6 from jio and 8 from Capgemini and many more. The percentage of placement is 85-90 % and many go for MTech, MS etc. My plans after my degree are to get a good job as sde in a good software company. And I also work on Entrepreneurship. So far so good.

Since the Institute was Local for me and was in a growing stage then. As of now, Institute offers great exposure to students admitting over here. Also, the curriculum at the Institute is way more ahead and relevant to industry as compared to other institutes like NITs, etc. which makes students here industry ready. The Flexible Credit System and Semester Internship Programme provides great value addition to the students careers.

IIIT being an institute of National importance, specialized in IT sector as it has only CSE and ECE branches. There is no need to study additional subjects such as physics, chemistry, etc. and students can directly focus on the chosen branch. Updated curriculum and computer science being a fast growing industry.
