How to Pay the Deposit Fee at Johns Hopkins University?
As per the university, the students will need to submit the enrollment deposit within 1–3 weeks after receiving their admission offer (exact deadline mentioned in the offer letter) at JHU. Usually, it varies from $500-$600 (₹46,900 – ₹56,280). International students can pay the deposit fee as follows:
- Log in to SIS Self-Service using your JHED ID.
- Go to Billing, then Summary.
- Pay the deposit using the available options.

- What I like most about this university is its excellence in biomedical research. It is one of the best in the field.
- I developed a strong interest in biomedical research during my undergraduate studies, and this university stood out as the ideal place to pursue that passion. It also provides a decent stipend, and the professors, facilities, and overall resources are truly top-notch.
Dislikes
- The only downside is that housing near campus can be a bit expensive, but that is a common issue across most universities, so it is not a major concern.
- Overall, choosing to come here for my PhD has been one of the best decisions I have made.

- The courses are good. As I am in my first year, I primarily work in the lab and focus on research. Typically, we have one to two classes a day, scheduled either in the morning or the afternoon. The average class size is around 30 students.

- They don't provide any scholarships (VIT students however have an affiliation with Whiting School)

- The curriculum is not that difficult, to be honest, it's more about the labs we join as part-time and internships we do.
- It's very easy to score here.
- They could've made the learning a bit more competitive and involved more lab courses
- Our classes are mostly in the evening, so we have only classes on 3days a week and that too only 1class a day.
- We have a very reduced course load.

- Per credit, it is 5630, and we need to take courses.
- And for every online course it's 200$ extra
- The insurance is around 1500 per semester
- Living expenses vary from person to person and depend on the rent.

- I was interested in stem cell research and I got to choose Regenerative and stem cell technology as my concentration for my masters program.
- Since I was in the field of Biotechnology, research is the main reason I joined Johns Hopkins University (JHU). JHU is highly reputed as a research institute with various facilities that help students pursue their interest in research and train them with skills required in the industry nowadays. I also like that mostly all the professors have a PhD degree and have knowledge in their field which they can convey to students through lectures and seminars.
Dislikes
- Most of the courses are online including few lab courses which are hybrid (online theory and practical in person lab work). Sometimes that becomes an issue for selecting courses for international students specifically as they cannot choose a subject that they like to maintain their student visa status.
Course Curriculum
Course syllabus is mostly same from past years but every year professors update their own knowledge and teach students about new advancements in the field. We were also told to read many recent research papers as part of academic projects and coursework. There are summer internships available for all students for which students can apply on their own or the university helps students though career fairs. Research experience is gained by students by working in research labs as part time graduate research assistants.

- Its Reputation along with flexibility of program, in which we can take courses from different department and also the courses here are project based so get to learn while working on projects, other important thing I like is the immersion program

- The things which I don't like about University is the information is not available easily, the person who don't know the exact url or the location won't be able to access the website or the resources available, this can be improved according to me

I have loved my biology classes although the requirement for physics is unnecessary. I think having more electives offered to underclassmen would improve morale and lead to a greater camaraderie among people of the same major.
