- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

The placement of our college is good . Current year almost all of the students are placed in good company with average package of 4.5 lpa . And the student are happy to get job

The placement scenario at my college is quite impressing . students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th sem. many reputable companies visit the campus for recruitment , inlcuding synopsis , accenture,ibm etc.

the placement rate is impressive with around 90% securing placements thorugh oncampus.

- College campus is too beautiful with lush green environment.surroundings of college is also filled with calmness. Haldia city is far away from chaos.

- College has two big playgrounds,volleyball court,basketball court,gym,canteens,etc

Campus placements are excellent in HIT, more than 200 comapnies visit here for recruiting students from core and it sector jobs. Highest package of last year was 33lakhs and average package was 5.75lakhs. Almost 95% students are placed.

- Hostel in times for girls can be extended a little more

Students become eligibile for placements from 6th semester and the placements are good in this college.the highest package till date it 47lpa,which gives us a good idea of how the placements are.thecollege also provides internships for the students progress.many students pursue mtech after this while others opt for placements.

- The bad things in this college is the girls and boys are 7:1
- Hostel of inside college are not good in one single bathroom for a 5 students in one room.
- And the bad things is the placement of the college is not good.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am from computer science branch specialization in (Ai/ml) so the course in my first semester is math, english,values and this, programming and chemistry.In next semester you learnt about physics, personality development.

- Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course content is similar to other institutes.
- Infrastructure: The campus spans 27 acres and features a gym, cafeterias, playground, and 8-9 hostels. The labs are well- equipped with modern machinery.
Dislikes
- Although the faculty is good, but the curriculum doesn't align with the latest industry trends.
- The placements are not that so good. The companies come late for placements.

The collage provides good enough placemnets with highest package is 16 LPA and lowest is 1.5 LPA and avg pakage is 4.65 LPA. Companies like Wipro, tech Mahindra, IBM, Visteon, Bentley etc. 85 % of total students gets placed every year

- Food is not healthy and also water washrooms not clean
- In dept stores prices of goods is higher than market
- Fest do not occur in frequent manner but not too bad

After 7 th semester students gets placed, companies like HPL, wipro, Haldia petrochemicals, johnson, infosis, himadrichemicals, lnt, TCS, etchighest package in 2023 was 33LPA and lowest was 11 LPA, percantage was 89 percentage, plansafter btech is simple establish startups .

- Firstly it's campus life , it's really awesome and enjoyable
- Placement is also decently good.Average is 5-6 lakhs
- The teachers and the mentors are actually supporting and helpful
Dislikes
- The location is not so good. It's little far for Kolkata
- Students have to wear uniform. It's a formal dress including black pant and a little pinkish shirt
Placement Experience:
After 3rd year the student can sit for placement.After the third year the place when start. Different IT company and non IT company visit our college like wipro, cognizant, Accenture, IBM, Haldia petrochemical and many other. The highest package of 2024 is said to be 33 lakh and the average package is approximately above 5.5 lakh. Generally percentage of student getting placement is 90 plus

- The best thing about my college is the campus it has. I guess it's pretty huge which is around 22 acres. Bigger campus than any of the colleges in Kolkata
- The second thing I liked about my college is it's huge library which got many many number of books. A place very quite and perfect for studying.
- The third thing I liked about my college is the restaurant it has on campus. Very affordable and serves delicious foods.
Dislikes
- One thing I didn't like about my college is the college timing. Too hard to keep up with it.
- I didn't like the place my college is situated in. A very distant place from Kolkata and yeah very quite surroundings
- I didn't like the transportation and needed a lot of energy to travel from college to home and vice versa
Course Curriculum Overview:
Pretty tough it is. Being a student of ECE, the subjects are quite hard to understand. And also there were labs we had to perform everyday. Hardly any time in Between the lectures.Each semester we are having to study almost 8-10 subjects which is definitely not an easy job.

Cognizant Wipro, TCS Infosys, Accenture HCL, Tech Mahindra ,IOCL,HPL,etc companies came for placement.
Average package was for 4 LPA and highest package was 15 LPA

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
