Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

HITK is the best private college of Kolkata. Even better than IEM

Likes

Helpful faculty and seniors. Enjoyable college environment with no politics.
The labs are well equiped and well maintained. The library has a good collection of books and magazines
The college has collaborations with different companies and other colleges.

Dislikes

Strict attendance policy of 75%. Attendace in labs is compulsary
No college fest in campus for last 3 years.
Campus is smaller compared to some colleges.

Placement Experience:

The placement senario is comparitively goo. The average package offered is around 5 lakhs per annum. Various students were offered high package of around 10lpa. Even during recession 85% students were placed. The on campus companies have a positive view of the quality of students in HITK.

campus id very good and beautiful and also large
very good quality of food provided by canteen
teachers are very good as well as supportive supportive

Dislikes

there are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good
some teachers are very rude to students but rest are good
very moderate placement around 5-6 lakhs

Placement Experience:

from third semster studnts become eligible for campus placement company like tcs, wipro sometimes microsoft google visited here averag pacakage of cse branch around 6.5 lakhs almost 75% students are placed in cse department

Pros and cons of HITK

Likes

The architecture and the ambience of the college is good.
Sports and academics both are taken care of.
Social life is good as i made many friends in the 1st yr itself.

Dislikes

No fest and freshers are conducted in the college.
Placement scenario is down this year (2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in ECE so I chose this course. Course curriculum is easy and faculty is very nice they will guide you through every steps. Every faculty is well educated and have high qualification. Term exam happen twice a year and questions are tough.

Placement Experience:

See the placements of our college is not bad. Many companies are come to our college. TCS, Wipro, cognizant, Infosys, Intel are the maximum requirement company in our college. Except that many more companies are come. I heard some year ago Google Microsoft came.

A great college, with a lot of potential

Likes

Faculty is really good, they help out students in all aspects.
The sports field is well maintained and lively.
Infrastructure is well maintained, and is taken care of properly.

Dislikes

Very less fests take place in the college.
The placement is average for a engineering college.
Senior, junior relationships is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from the fifth semester for placements. 24-25 companies have visited already, but many more are going to come as the placement process is still going on. Highest package till now is 11 LPA, average package is 4.5-5LPA.

COLLEGE CAMPUS IS LARGE .LOTS OF SPORTS ARE THERE TO PLAY LIKE VILLEYBALL, BASKETBALL,CRICKET AND OTHER INDOOR GAMES ALSO.ONE CAN'T BE GET BORED WHEN HE ENTERED INTO THE COLLEGE CAMPUS.
TEACHERS IN THE COLLGE IS TOO GOODMTHEY ARE LIKE MENTORS EHICH GUIDE STUDENTS TO SUCCESS IN THEIR GOALS.THEY DISCUSS OUR EVERY PROBLEMS .
THE FACILITIES PROVIDED IN THE COLLEGS IS GOOD.LIKE FOR STUDENTS FOOD MEAL, FOR TEACHERS FREE BUS SERVICE.CLASSES ARE GOOD AS IT IS LARGE AND WELL AD CONDITIONED.

HOSTEL FOR BOYS IS NOT AVAILABLE WHICH IS BAD FOR US.
PLACEMENT IS NOT TOO GOOD IT LIES IN BETWEEN 4-5.5 LAKHS PER ANNUM.
MOST OF THE CSE DEPARTMENT TEACHERS ARE GOOD BUT SOME OF THEM ARE VERY RUDE TO STUDENTS THEY GIVE VERY LESS MARKS THEY DIDN'T EVEN REALISE THE EFFORTS OF STUDENTS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I CHOSE COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING BECAUSE IT HAS MORE JOBS OPPORTUNITIES THAN OTHER DEPARTMENTS.FACULTY ARE TOO GOOD IN THIS INSTITUTE,THEY ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL IN SOLVING OUR DOUBTS.THEY ARE WELL EXPERIENCED TO DEAL OUR PROBLEMS AND THEY TEACH EXTREMELY WELL IN THE CLASSES.EXAMS ARE QUITE GOOD TAKEN BY THE INVIGILATORS THEY ARE TOO STRICT NOT A SINGLE BOY/GIRL WILL BE ABLE TO TURN AROUND.DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF QUESTION PAPER ARE FROM LOW LEVEL TO HIGH LEVEL ALMOST 60% OF PAPER CONTAINS MODERATE LEVEL DIFFICULTY PROBLEMS.

Heritage Institute of Technology an affordable Institute for Btech students.

Likes

The college has great faculty members and it provides quality education in affordable price.
The college maintains good campus life which is great for students
The college provides any social and physical training for our mental social and physical health.

Dislikes

The college does not conduct any fest which I didn't like.
Attendance is major let down here like you have to keep atleast 50% to seet in internal.
Transport is also a great cons of this institution.

Placement Experience:

This college placement %are almost 60-70 percentage. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys IBM Highest salary goes around 20-30 lakh rupees. Avg CTC for CSE student is 6lakh/year And avg CTC for all departments is 8lakh/year.

HITK : Why and Why not

Likes

Being an Autonomous Institution, the curriculum is very student friendly and regularly reviewed
No dress code for students unlike other private engineering college of West Bengal
The coding culture is good here and very competitive too

Dislikes

The Surprise test thing is not something to like
The session period is shorter than other colleges
No fest neither freshers is organised by the college in a while

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose ECE here instead of other colleges in Kolkata even though I am into Tech because of the campus life and ece being one of the closely related branches to cs. The faculty to students ratio is like 1:3. Most of the professors here have their postgraduation from JU, IIEST, NITs and IITs. Few professors are very friendly with the students as if we are friends. The end sems usually take place in Decmeber and May. Faculties provide all the materials required to prepare for the exam so it's not very hard to pass.

Review of HITK

Likes

The Campus area of the college is really good and big
The alumni network of our college is very strong.
The college canteen is a nice place and the food quality is also quite good.

Dislikes

The location of the college is in a sub-rural area.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. A lot of companies visit our college, even a few service-based companies like ORACLE visit HITK. Nearly 70% of students from noncore departments get placed. Some opt for higher studies. My plan is to get into tech after graduation.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semister the students can became eligible for the campus placements. There are many companies which offers the placements to the freshers such as Deccan chemicals, fine chemicals, Indian cements, coramandal, l and t, tcs etc. The avareage package offers to the student is four lack per annum. The minimum percentage for students to get aligibel for the placement is based on the company which you have applied.

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
