Likes

Students can get scholarships like swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship.
Companies like tcs, wipro, info, tejas network, grant thomson, pwc india, ibm, etc, and the placement percentage is also so good approx 90 percent of students get placed.
The campus is so beautiful and peaceful . the natural environment is there so i liked it

Dislikes

Fees is little bit high so it is a problem for a middle class guy
From the last 3 year's there is no fest organized due to students fight
There are no boys hostel inside campus which is not good

The current course is very relevant in the college but some changes can be made in the curriculum so that the daily changes accordingly to the futuristic needs can be met and exam pattern can also be changed . We give 4 surprise test comprising of 10 marks each

Firstly I liked the campus of this college other than all the 3 tier colleges in West Bengal
I also liked the social activities stuffs in this college
Secondly I liked the faculty of this college

Dislikes

Firstly I don't like the syllabus pattern(totally my perspective)
I don't like the location of the campus because nothing near to it.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of our college is average (I will say). Firstly to get a job in a good company your cgpa should be above 8. If you are interested in core then I would say your cgpa must be above 9 as few core companies come in our campus( story of every 3 tier college). Otherwise if you just want a job in mass requirement companies(tech) then just master in DSA.

Things you should know before taking admission to HITK

Likes

College infrastructure, which is actually great.
Wide ranges of clubs and societies available.
Strong alumni network and helping seniors.

Dislikes

Small campus area and very much crowded.
There's no coding culture in the college.
Faculty members should be in focus they are pretty average.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty average in we look at the average package annually, for top branches it is about 5-6 lacks but overall it is only around 4.5 as due to the drought of placements in the core. Mostly mass recruiters are there with some biggies like Amazon, tata, etc. Almost 60-70% students get placed annually. My plan is to get a good off campus if not I will consider on-campus as my backup.

Heritage college

Likes

The nature of the faculty and teachers they were good.
The campus is big in comparison to other west Bengal college
The program helds inside the colleges in certain occasion

Dislikes

The less activities for sport's and not having any teacher for all the sports
It's doesn't have any fest or any guest to inspire student
It has a less activity that help you in growth and development

Placement Experience:

In the last semester student are eligible for campus placement , there are many mass recruiter that hire in bulk in a avg package of 4 lpa like tcs and wipro, other recruiter are giving a max of 10-12 lpa but hiring a few student only. The avg placement is of 5-6 lpa and the highest goes for 32lpa. The percentage of student getting placed is 80-88%.

College campus, infrastructure teachers nothing else

Placement Experience:

Placements there average is 4 lpa and it may go up to 10 lpa depending on the your company like tcs capgemini Infosys cognizant comes here highest goes to 40-50 lpa but its off-campus college claims 100 percent placement dont know about the rest my plans after this is obviously a good job

How is hit kolkata

Likes

Though no matter how much teachers tells u to attain classes.they let u write exams at the end.
Seniors here are quite helping not all but max .

Dislikes

The area near to college isnt as clean and is a kind of smelly.
College is kind of out of city and u neand nearest metro is like 10 km from here.
Duration of theory classes can be decreased.

Placement Experience:

Usually student are eligible from 6th mostly 7th for campus placement. Companies visiting here are mostly mass recruiters like TCS , IBM and others but big companies too have visited the campus but hiring from them isn't much. Till last year campus placement was great but due to recession has decreased this year.

I had like the meet the people who belonged to all over India.
I liked the friendship here and learnt the language
I liked the most how to cover the syllabus in just two months

Dislikes

Dislike the college campus because most of the area for school student
I disliked the time table of the institute

My dicision is based on interact with the people who associated with this institute . Course currilumn here is not advanced as per requirement at this corporate world. There are four unit test each having 10 marks for internal and 60 marks end semester

Our college HITK

Likes

College has good course as it is autonomous
Library has good amount of books and fully furnished
Professor is very helping on any needs and you will be needing

Dislikes

Canteen food is not upto the mark and a bit to expensive
It doesn't have any fest and technical support is not that helping
Campus is very small and doesn't provide the campus life I was wishing for

Course curriculum is relevant for the need for the particular field and course is designed in such a way that it prepares for the real-world applications as it teaches for the market needs . It conducts surprise test after every topic is finished

Campus Life & Placements at HIT-K

Likes

Knowledge of faculties and the helping nature of seniors.
Greenery in the campus although students outside smoke a lot.
College Library is best place due to the silence there, you can easily focus there.

Dislikes

Smoking area outside the college campus gate.
Canteen food is too costly according to its taste and quantity.
Curriculum should be more aligned according to current market scenario.

Placement Experience:

There is campus placement offered in the college in final year but the average is around 6 LPA. Some companies like TCS, Cozeva and IBM visit for placements. This year 6 students got 10 LPA which includes tech as well as non-tech students.

Likes

Campus is very beautiful,green and lustrous.
Faculties is very supportive and well educated.
Well maintain library and classroom with modern laboratories.

Dislikes

There is no scholarship for outside candidate (which are from bihar,up etc)
Last 3-4 years ,no fest conducted by college.
College have not its own boys hostel, self managed

Heritage Institute of Technology is the best private college in Kolkata with good campus life. A senior of mine is an alumnus of the college and he always speaks about its infrastructure, placements, and campus facilities.

Location: - It is located near the prime market of Kolkata making it well connected to communication services.
Fees: - The fess has been increased slightly but if admission is granted you’re are eligible to apply for a study loan
Labs: - All the facilities and the technologies in the lab are up to date and well equipped for ease of handling by the students.
Professors: - all the professors are highly experienced, some with a Ph.D. degree, and they are well known and acknowledged in society.
Library: - Fully stacked with books, articles, research papers and has access to many foreign libraries accessing outside files.
