The college has an experiienced and supportive faculty, with great teachers who ensure attractive and engaging classes.
There are various scholarship provided to meritorious students every year, so u can avail the benefits of it by meeting it's eligibility criteria.
An excellent number of students secured placements, reflecting the college's strong industry connections.

Dislikes

I took cuet and cut for my course varied based on different combinations and categories also admission through cuet is very haptic it's a very long process a simple mistake can ruin your whole admission process
I also disliked the administration block of my college because they do every in a very gradual manner. many time main members go on leave.
I didn't like the fact that there wasn't any sports quota for volleyball

KMC - a du college Known for academic performance

Likes

The academic seriousness in my course is very high.
There is a good amount of socialising opportunity as societies here are very much active.
Fests are the main plus point of every Delhi university colleges.

Dislikes

The digital availability of this college becomes a liability for them .
Sports facility in this college is very poor I must say.
The canteen is average but for a reputed college like kmc it should be better.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement as I mentioned kirori Mal College has an average of 6.35 lpa . Students become eligible from 5th semester to sit for placement in thé placement cell. Companies like De Shaw, Accenture, icici bank , etc come to recruit. Even internship opportunities are high for students here which they can apply from second years.

Kirori Mal College : Nice and Nasty

Likes

The exposure which du and specially kirori mal college provides to its students.
Multidisciplinary societies and top of the class sports teams

Dislikes

Infrastructure related problems like without ac classrooms, useless library etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is nice with vast opportunities for post graduation. But the optional ge, sec, vac and aec subjects make it a bit hectic. Faculty is decent but there are always those 2,3 teachers whom everybody hates.

Kirorimal College Insights

Likes

The thing I liked about KMC is it's infrastructure
The library is very good and has AC reading Halls
The canteen is good offering various items and it's affordable to.

Dislikes

The thing I disliked I classes as the infrastructure lacks there.
Lack of auditorium in our college and restoration of it.
Poor infrastructure of Boys common room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course Bcom.Honours as it was of my interest and it is a pathway to accomplish my future goals. The student ratio is about 50.50. Also all the teachers are PHD holders in their respective fields.

Life in Kirori Mal College

Likes

The society culture is really good and is one of the best with the theatre society of KMC, Players, giving India some of its best talents like Amitabh Bachchan and Divyendu Sharma
The crowd is really good and is quite open minded.
The amenities, in comparison to some other colleges of DU, are decent.

Dislikes

Just like in other colleges of DU, there is a clear political bias when it comes to recruitment of faculty.
The college definitely needs some more RO filters.
The auditorium of the college, which was burnt down a few years back, hasn't been completed yet and thus the college only has 2 smaller auditoriums with a capacity of around 100 each.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently doing Political Science Honors, the faculty is decent and each section has around 45-55 students. Most faculty members have a PhD and the ones who do not have a PhD are in their last couple years of PhD. The term exams depend on the examination schedule of Delhi University.

Faculty and seniors as well as societies
The social life that comes with north campus
I have found the seniors to be very friendly and helpful

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not maintained at all
The classrooms as are very small and can’t fit
Sometimes i feel college puts on unnecessary pressure

The course i have opted for is tougher than my first preference but i have mostly good teachers unlike the usual du faculty . They teach well , our classes are also not cancelled unlike what is the usual image of delhi university

Likes

The college library is a very calm place to sit and study.
The faculty of Commerce Department is really good.

Dislikes

The infrastructure at KMC, DU is quite average
The food at the college canteen is also average, although the pricing is very student friendly, yet the taste of the food is average only

Placement Experience:

After the completion of 4th sem, the students are eligible for placements. Delloite, LEK, Sprinklr, Accenture, De Shaw, Zs etc.. are some if the companies that came for campus recruitment this year. I am not sure, but ig 20-25 LPA has been the highest package offered.

Kmc through the lenses of a student

Likes

The faculty, theyre nice and so so accommodating.
The campus, although its small but its very pretty and amazingly kept clean.
The ASOKA LAWN!! Its lush green grass is a delight to nap on

Dislikes

The burnt down auditorium which is yet to be renovated

The course I opted for BA political science hons. We have 110 students in my batch of 2023-27 and we have 7 papers (3 dsc, 1ge, 1 vac, 1 sec and 1aec). The faculty in my dept is very apt at what they do and it's a joy attending classes

KMC reality

Likes

I liked about KMC is that there are super smart people exist who are doing alot of stuff in the same time , I think that's interesting
Freedom from attendance is there in our college unless other colleges where you have to maintain 75 percent
We can explore Opportunities and make connections and of placements are also decent

Dislikes

Overhyped - the north campus is unnecessarily overhyped literally college doesn't have the basic sports facilities
Infrastructure is so bad and ofc there are some side effects of govt college
Placements are also overhyped, like there are too little students who gets good placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it alligns with my interest as I have keen interest in finance and of course I tried to get bcom Hons from srcc but failed because of normalisation done by NTA. But it's okay never mind, overall the experience is good but there are many bad things in our college like infrastructure (under renovation) and faculty is not that good (ofc some side effects of govt college) but you will get many opportunities and good connections and like minded people to interact with
