SGTB Khalsa College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The course is pretty easy to comprehend and the faculty members are very helpful and supportive. The knowledge and experience of faculty is very good but it would require the students to study the subject thoroughly for their own benefits.

The course is really awesome I like it too much. BSc chemistry honours is my course. I really wanted to do it because research is my passion. I also want to go in Isro. Also, there are 8 sem in this course

Political science Honours in SGTB KHALSA is one of the best cousin to pursue but it depends on your interest for the subject to master it. The faculty members are very helpful but to catch up with their teaching you need to study like an actual honours students and the habit of school learning will not fetch you enough knowledge. I have rated a six here because of my own personal disinterest in the subject.

As my course is a multidisciplinary course so It allows me to pursue higher education in any of that subjects , the curriculum is good , multiple carrier options are there for science students like teaching and research, teaching method and teachers are good , exams are held at the end of every semester

Political science Hons is very good course and also my college has good faculty for the same . Political science Hons helps us to select various fields of our interest and also helps us to increase our understanding of contemporary political scenario of our country

I chose BSC because I want to go in research field so it gives me very good edge so that I can do what I want . This course not only gives you a good edge but also extra time to explore other things . So just try it effectively to come from it .

I'm currently in 1st year. Since I've not completed even my first year so I've had no experience on placements and internships but our college do offer placements. As per the latest report, the highest and gross package offered during placements 2022 stood at INR 25 LPA and INR 8.10 crore per annum. More than 167 offers were made and over 70 recruiters participated during SGTB Khalsa College placements 2022. Popular recruiters participated include Deloitte, EY, McKinsey & Company, etc. My plans after getting a degree is to complete my masters and then apply for a job.

My college placememt is little lower as compared to other north campus colleges of DU. The main reason I think so is because of 50% reservation for Sikh students. Most of them just don't want to study and only focus on wasting time roaming here and there and busy in their own works. Due to this our average package decreases. But the highest package offered in our course is 24LPA last year with an average of 5-7 LPA.

The course offered at the college was comprised of both core subjects as well as electives of our own choice(from any stream). The core subject pedagogy in the lab was both theoretical as well as practical. And given the college's reputation in terms of Chemistry Honours, it was immensely popular in the university. The college was the only one that provided a diploma in forensic science, which was a plus point in choosing the college. Exams were held for both theory and practical. The curriculum was well designed to touch every aspect of the overall chemistry subject. Subjects ranged from Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical, green, Pharacheutical, etc. Exams were held every 5 months.

Mainly in final year one can apply for placements, companies visited are Delloite, Tresvista and Future First and many more companies. The highest package offered is around 18 lpa and an average package is 4.5 lpa. Almost 60-70% got placed who apply for placements.
