Top colleges for science streams

Remarks:

My college life was a bag full of happiness. I met with some great teachers, made some friends for lifetime, graduated my college with good marks and a job (yes even being to course where the jobs are very specific), had some great mentors and seniors. I had some of the best part of my life in college with some great people.

Remarks:

Well, i got to know about this college from my friends as well as my teachers.I always had keen interest in mathematics and what attracted me the most, was it's mathematics department which is by far the best, in all of the delhi university colleges, plus the campus area and the location is very safe.The hostel facilities are as per the needs of the students having separate fully ac rooms and attached washrooms to them.Apart from the academic excellence, the extra curricular activites gather huge attention including sports, literature, drama and dance

Well you need to very lucky to have been a part of Sri Venkateswara college.Only think we missed back then was auditorium and hostels which am sure are there now.A very positive and caring vibe you got.Reddy Sir our principal in last few months invited me to share tirupati prasad he got that was the level and depth of community interaction and love.

Remarks:

It was the best option in South Delhi and I dont have to travel much. It is well reputed and since I didnt have maths I could only opt for Bcom (p) and this college had this course unlike many other.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell that helps students to get internships and organises internship fairs. Commerce courses have better placement opportunities than social Sciences ones. One needs to interact with alumni and batchmates to get more information regarding placements.

Remarks:

This college has a good reputation for the history department and ranks in the top 10 colleges of Delhi University College. This college is also nearer to my house which gives me an opportunity to get back home early and do engage myself in other activities rather than just attending college. I had a choice between studying philosophy or history so as a result, I went with history for the main reason of appearing for the civil services.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
