Remarks:

Sri Venkateswara college is one of the top college preferred for commerce students. It is located at heart of Delhi. It selects students according to the marks scored, so all the students are intelligent. There are cut offs released by college after the release of 12th marks, which is the base of admission in this college.

A New Beginning

Placement Experience:

I am a first-year student who has been offered an opportunity to become part of the placement cell in the first year itself which is a big thing in itself. In the session 2019-20 cell managed to secure 150+ placements in the department of science commerce and arts. Top companies like Deloitte, PWC UK, United airlines, Boston consultants, Bank of America, Zomato, ABP network and etc. Average package stood 5.03 LPA and highest package stood 15 LPA offered by Edukey. In this session over 100 companies offered placement opportunities among them 22 companies carried outplacement in the campus and others in their offices. I am a defence aspirant and will try for CDS and AFCAT after my graduation.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible from 2nd year onwards, however, you can go for them in your first year too There are about more than 30 companies at the time of placement fest in your college, so you need not worry about them, but most of them are for tech courses, however, are some other companies too, which consider students from every course.

Remarks:

Our college comes under the south campus, but it doesn't mean that our college is not as good as the north campus colleges. The campus crowd is awesome, and the surroundings are also pleasant. Extracurricular activities are also performed very good. Students took active participation in societies of their choices. Connectivity is well enough because the metro station, as well as a bus stop, are within walking distance.

Our college has the most awesome crowd. As it has diversity, it doesn't look like a small Haryana or any group of a few states or UT. It is like a mini India, which is an amazing thing as you get to meet many different and smart people from different cultures and backgrounds.

The factors that made me choose this college were its low fees. The name and fame of Delhi University is just enough to be a part of it. The college provides you with good placements. The college is also well connected to public transport.

Remarks:

This college does have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The classroom are okay and so are the laboratories but the library is well maintained and has a wide collection of books. There things really made me feel happy to join the college.

Best College for Fun, Fests and Study with Best Facialities

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are available for commerce students. Life Sciences does not have any campus placements. Commerce students get good placements from big companies at the very high package. We have a separate Placement Cell for this and also a Placement fair is held every year in which every student can take part. Life Sciences students prefer going for masters or for any government job after their graduation. Also, there are many jobs available for life science students in the private sector. We have jobs in chemical industries, medicinal fields, and research jobs. Life Science students always get an opportunity in science-related jobs. Most of my seniors went for them post-graduation. I am also planning for a government job after my graduation. Life Science students are also very active in internships.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
