Office facilities could be improved as currently most of it available through offline only also Library could also be enlarged for a better experience.

Remarks:

Delhi University has the most post-undergraduate opportunities in India. I participate actively in extra-curricular activities and there's no place better than DU for that. Moreover, I chose Sri Venkateswara College because it has the best department for statistics and has great Placement opportunities with it's placement cell being ranked amongst the top 4 in DU.

I chose this college because it's one of the best colleges of Delhi University and also because it's nearer to my residence. Furthermore I opted for this course particularly because I was bored and I needed some change, so I changed my stream from science to arts.

Overall Experience in a Top DU college

Admission:

I was a student of B.com(hons) in Sri Venkateswara college. I was a commerce student and got a decent score in my 12th board examination. I opted for this course as I was good in commerce and mathematics and this college is considered to be the best for commerce. Recently it has been ranked 9th for commerce by India today. Also the admission here is based on your 12th grades and a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in qualifying examination (entrance) with Mathematics and Business Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

It is a reputed college of Delhi University and it has a great faculty of Mathematics. It has a great campus with a good crowd of students.The campus has a temple too.The first time I entered the campus, I knew it was going to be my second home.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
