The fees structure of delhi university is very simple we have to pay fees semester wise and delhi university fees is also very low .so that's the part i really liked about delhi university .yes delhi university provides scholarship also.
They are very well experienced and most are phd holders, even the guest lecturers are so talented and inspiring and have a way to handle the students.
Last but not the least i liked the infrastructure too..the new building is just awesome. it is the best building among all the colleges.

Dislikes

The benches in the classroom is bad. the white board is also not good
The entrance exam was good but the normalisation process was very disappointed which was for no reason and the biggest game player was obviously the reservation quota(sc/st/obc).
Some teachers are very bad in teaching and they does not focus on student

Likes

Societies are quite great, there are a lot of societies and some of them are amazing.
The faculty is quite good. Professors are supportive and nice.
My department is nice and good. Overall great.

Dislikes

Canteen is abhorrent. Needs a lot of improvement.
Old building is terrible. We need access to the New building.
Classes are terrible. There needs a serious improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course curriculum is decent as I'm studying the subjects of my interest. The faculty members are decent though, they can always be more interactive, especially the history major faculty. The philosophy faculty is good, as there's always scope for discussions.

Likes

The crowd is average. One can get all kinds of students in the college.
Faculty is very supportive. Teachers are well educated.

Dislikes

Students don't get much exposure. The opportunities are slim to none.
Companies don't often come in aur college.
College should be concerned about the building and campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose BCOM because I want to pursue an MBA. Choosing Bcom can give me extra time to put my energy into my CAT preparation. Also, I will be able to hone my skills. Teachers are well-qualified and experienced in their respective fields.

Being a fresher at Zakir Husain Delhi College

Likes

Really liked the campus life, and the location of the college
The food near the college gate is too good

Dislikes

Canteen food is not that as we expected, too oily and unhygenic
Not proper drinking water inside the college

Placement Experience:

I'm just in my first semester, so I don't know much about the placements as of now, but on an average 6-7 lakhs per annum is what a person would get if he/she has a good score and CGPA in the final year and does good with the interview.

My college my views

Likes

I like the infrastructure and the events organised time to time in the college campus.
I like the faculties and the environment at the college.
Loved the societies and cells formed for the betterment of students and to to gain the best experience.

Dislikes

Playground is not soo much big and the college don't give that much preference to the sports.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year the student is capable of campus placement. Companies like KPMG offer 30-40 students for placement from our college. The highest package offered is 300000 .20% of the students got selected for the placements.

Zakir Husain - the oldest college of DU

Likes

The fees of the college which makes it very affordable for middle class people as compared to the other private colleges

Dislikes

The college is very far away from my home as I reside in gurugram and I have to go to new delhi everytime and that is why it's hectic.

Placement Experience:

Placements are fine for this college and it provides an average annual package of 400000 a year. Students having cgpa of 8 or more mostly get into placements and companies like Colgate and tcs have come to the college.

The study environment is quite good and highly conducive

It's lack of field, and open spaces and is quite in a congested area

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are good as far as I know, with the average LPA reaching from 7 to 15 in the last few years, Since this is a major arts college, there aren't necessarily any companies visiting the college but students seeking out jobs themselves.

Best part of life, college

Likes

Societies and different clubs are the best part of Zakir Hussain as they provide interaction with other students
Library is also my favorite part of college because it is air-conditioned and well-maintained plus Wi-Fi facilities and there are lot of books that used to help me in study
College canteen must be the best part I can say because there is a mother dairy parlor where I can sit with my friends and chill after classes

Dislikes

College infrastructure I can say big cause it is not well-maintained, and the buildings are so old. Sometime it doesn’t feel like it’s a College Life that I have imagined
Zakir Hussain college doesn’t have a ground for volleyball and basketball court so we don’t have space to play. This will be the saddest part of a college life
Little is discrimination is there by the political parties as we know that Delhi university is quite famous for his politics so I have noticed a little discrimination between different religions

Course Curriculum Overview:

I found my course economics plus English is a very good combination for my future. I had so much interest in economics since my class 10th. The faculty ratio is equal to 40:60. The faculty of my college is well mannered and educated they have very good teaching methods on the skills they know exactly how to deal with students. Annually are examples of time, and they are not so much hard to pass.

First of all I like library and Wi-Fi facility of my college. Whenever I want to study these are easy access to me.
I like canteen facility of my college. It has mother dairy and enough consuming menu for students at a reasonable price.
At last, i like my department, political science for which Zakir Hussain is very famous. We have alumni from our college which are now well settled in the civil service line.

Dislikes

Things that I totally dislike is politics during the time of election in the college student leaders, manipulate junior students towards and even the brain wash them sometime
Third, but the most important dislike thing is that water drainage is very bad at the time of rain or heavy rain College flooded with a half foot water which great difficulty to reach out College in the time of rain
Second thing I would like to add for dislike is the electricity, old fan, old table, which sometimes gives dangerous vibes

I choose the scores because in future I want to do UPSC and go for civil services. About the faculty ratio, there are 40: 60 faculty and student ratio. Qualification of difficulty is well. Graduated and post-graduated. The teaching method shows how much they experienced. Within a year two-time exams or semester happens, exactly on time according to tentative dates and it may be difficult to pass the exam but not impossible.

Not a karan johar's movie college life

Likes

Teachers are very helpful they listen to you and solve your problem

Dislikes

Classes cancel any time we came college by hectic travelling
No extra curricular activities or we can say fun things like dj night

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I found it very interesting in my 12th standard and I also want to prepare for civil services that's why I thought it would be great. My college faculty for this course is really famous for the political science department although the teachers are good and cooperative we can ask questions, and discuss things in classes. Every teacher has a different method of teaching some are really good at it but some just gave lectures and go and a big part of learning comes from concentration if you concentrate may be you can understand better if you really want to. There is the maximum time to finish one exam is 3 hours and exams are not that much hard if you studied the topics of your syllabus then you can easily pass the exam just remember to write as least six pages for one answer writing also may lead to cutting down marks.

I chose political science honours because I have a major interest in it. In my college, there are so many students in this department. The qualification of the faculty member is pretty good they are mostly phd and a doctorate. We have two semesters in one year. It is not so difficult to pass exams

As much as I could gather information about Zakir Husain Delhi College DU from some of my friends, everyone gives almost similar responses and reviews about the college.

In terms of infrastructure, the college has a chance to compete with the prestigious and leading colleges out there. The campus includes Wi-Fi, a magnificent green space, inspiring classrooms, elevators for those with disabilities, a canteen with an affordable menu, a mother dairy, and practice-friendly labs.

The professors are incredibly helpful for both personal and professional matters.

In today’s world, online education may be difficult, but they have adapted successfully. They are also excellent with offline material. The courses cover everything in detail and prepare students to take on real-world issues in the workplace. Exams during the semester are neither very difficult nor difficult. Students can pass with ease if they are properly prepared and have studied.
