My interest from my school was to pursue career as a scientist which makes me to choose this college. Actually my main aim was to get admission in iiser pune but it was not offered to me due to my low marks inn the iat.

I love this college as it is near to my hometown and other IISERs are very far away from me. From education point of view also it is very good and better as comparative to other IISERs. Faculties and seniors are very helpful here which you will not find anywhere in the India.

It is just 15km away from my house so I can easily go to my home during weekends and holidays. Also if I want I can go to Home after classes and come back in the night or morning. My parents can easily visit there and provide me some necessary things whenever I required. The closeness of college to my home drove me to take admission in IISER Mohali.

Personal interst as well as the company of my friend are the two most important factors which drove me to take admission in any one of the IISER. My friend and I both have IAT and both were able to qualify and after that we both choose IISER Pune and by coincidence both were offered IISER MOHALI and we freeze the option and both of us come here to pursue our further studies.

High quality education with a nominal fees. Helping and supporting faculy. No ragging. Helping seniors. Good sex ratio are some of the factors which drove me tk take admission in IISER Mohali. Also it is near to Chandigarh.

My cousin is already studying in IISER Pune and my dream was also to get admission in IISER Pune but unfortunately IISER Pune was not offered to me and I get IISER Mohali in floating option. IISER Mohali was my 2nd preference after IISER Pune.

Interest in basic science, Interest in Research, Interest in studying outside the state, Interest in staying in hostels, parents and teachers advice and most important my own will motivated me in choosing IISER Mohali.

My father is a teacher and he is the main mentor of my life. My father was very convinced from the step of government to establish basic science institutes in our country and when they were established they decided to sent me in IISER and for that I also took tuition during my class 12th studies and prepared for IAT.

IISER Mohali is a great place to pursue basic science studies. You get nice opportunities to work with best minds all over the world. You get opportunities to do internships during summer in other IISERs and IITs
