It has really good infrastructure and facilities, and average placements. Placements: Overall, the placement percentage is 75-77%. The highest placement rate is of CSE, which is 87-90%, followed by IT and ECE branches with 80%-85%. Among the core branches, the placements are above average for ME, and the rate is 75%.

According to me the quality of teaching is nice here with professors well versed in their respective fields. The curriculum of the course is neatly designed which is totally compatible with today's competitive worldThe overall average placement in this college is at an average level or just more than average with average package being 10-12 LPA. Although big tech giants like Microsoft, Google, Amazon and the great PSU giants like IOCL, HPCL, Reliance Industries come for on campus hiring, they are bagged by only a certain no. of students

College Events
After 1.5 months passed, seniors started visiting our hostels for the campaign of the Club activities. There are various types of clubs- Music Club, Dance Club, Literary Circle, CCA, MNTC, Spic Macay etc. You can join in more than one club. There was a hoax amongst us that those people who are in touch with the seniors through ragging, would get preference to join the club
Campus Life
NIT Durgapur campus is spread over an area of 187 acres. There are seven boys' hostels and two girls' hostels on the campus. Placements: NIT, Durgapur, has a placement cell that is solely responsible for placement drives conducted at the campus. In 2019, 70% of the students got placed in top companies
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee structure is about 10k per year except for the mess fee. The hostel infrastructure is so good. There are mostly 3 seater rooms available for UG & PG student. But for PHD scholars there are single-seater rooms available
Admission
JEE mainsJEE Main is an entry-level exam with a lower level of difficulty. It comprises of two papers. The Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other prestigious institutions. It is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admissions to IITs.
