Remarks

Firstly the personal reasons were that it was close to my home and the fact that it was a good college and with respect to my rank it was decent enough to take admission in. My priority was to take civil engineering as my department and in government college so this was a good option

Course Curriculum Overview

5

When I was in my school bag in 11th and 12th standard it was my interest that I had in mechanics that persuaded me to choose civil engineering specifically and the fact that it was very familiar because my dad is also civil engineer so I had my interest to that as well and as far as the curriculum is concerned it's pretty hectic because in a college like NIT Durgapur the pressure is always High along with other things but at the same time we need to manage acadamics and faculty is really good it is just that the infrastructure of the college could have been much better than what it is now if the college pays a bit more attention to infrastructure development is what should be the priority otherwise the college has got a really good standards in everything be it the college library or anything that is academically or non academically involved in a student's development throughout the BTech career

Placement Experience

4

So there is placement and then there is internal service entrance they get TPO so as far as the eligibility is concerned it is after 6th semester that an individual is eligible to get a job in our college the placement records are picking up on a great place when I joined my college back and 2019 the average placement to average package was around 5.9 lacs to 600000 rupees per annum right now in 2021 the average package of our colleges around 8.4 lakh rupees per annum service leave there has been a surge in the average package and the placement records have been really great but the standard of companies that it had coming how we do need to work on that and there is a hypothesis Li of the whole IT sector because core companies not visit our college much the fact and it is the truth that it is just the IT companies and the whole software industries that employ Sharma colleges otherwise as well as the core industries are concerned we don't see much of the placements from there are Wesley students go through off campus in stuff but on campus we don't see much of core companies obviously authorities are working and probably in coming years will see better result in core sector as well

College Events

5

Probably in a place like Durgapur students might obviously feel very demotivated because it is a very quiet place not much of the Vibe that most of the student actually look for in the college days but frankly speaking the kind of environment that we have in our college is probably the kind of thing that everyone wants in their college life we have got many clubs in fact we have got the second largest techno management fest of eastern India that is arohan that happens in our college along with that social life is amazing haircut places obviously the campus is so huge so there are many things to do and since we're talking about the engineering life obviously we got our friends and we have got those ups and downs in our lives in college and that's that's probably the best thing about our college well coronavirus and this whole pandemic thing made it very difficult for us to get back to our college but we are looking forward to go back and maybe we can make things like it used to be earlier.

Campus Life

4.5

Well the only drawback that I see in my college is its infrastructure you know there is ample of space where they need to work on below average standard if you talked about and it is probably it is not the worst infrastructure carrying and it would say yes I am going too far but it is truth truth will we do have very good placement records we do have great alumini based but as Harris infrastructure is concerned specially the academic infrastructure release lot to be done and if you are talking about universities we do need to have that kind of culture in order to have the minds to inertia and to do good but for that we need to create an environment for that physically the environment has to be great and for that infrastructure has to be really good so the kind of nurturing and the mind that you're talking about we need to invest and pay more attention on the infected and perhaps there is much of space to be work done then I would say that is what in proper overall sense NIT Durgapur is behind compared to other and it is in its infrastructure and social life obviously as good as I said it's probably the best thing about address Durgapur is the fact that despite of being such a boring place still the campus life is so amazing that we don't really face that problem of that bodom that we usually shipped from colleges located in location like this

Hostel Facilities

4

Well the hostel in NIT Durgapur is free for everyone I don't have any prior knowledge of what is the fees structure of the international hostel but as far as for the ones who are Indian citizens we don't have any fees for hostel is completely free it is just that we have to pay for Mess and food is obviously above average resting away from our homes so we won't get the kind of luxury that we always had but it's it's fine and we do have many canteen in college so if we don't want to eat something that is prepared in the MesS and we can obviously go for the stuff that is being prepared in a canteens and there are obviously students who stay who don't stay in the college hostel service le the once your local resident of Durgapur or so and so reasons they might go and stay outside so there are plenty of houses you can go for rent in on the area in which NIT Durgapur is located there are two three specific localities where I know there are many students and teachers to rent their houses in state

Admission

In getting into NIT Durgapur there was nothing required the only criteria to get into this college is to have sufficient JEE MAINS score and eligibility criteria of that is 75% in science and maths CBSE science includes physics chemistry and maths and that's it this is the only criteria for general category students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I saw the potential in the course for a better and precise future since hospital management is overall management and administration is a part of management. The college provided us 2 internships which really helps us to gain exposure in practical life.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
