NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for placements. There are more than 500 companies which have visited our campus and more than 700 offers were made last year. Last year the highest package was 80lpa and the average package was around 12lpa. More than 70 percent of the students were placed in the last year. My plan is to get a job after getting the degree.

The curriculum is very diverse. The first year starts with the basic subjects which include specialisations from every field (civil , mechanical, Humanities etc) . And from the 2nd year , core subjects start getting introduced. In 3rd year , there are electives which allow us to branch out from the regular course and take up subjects from other branches that interest us. Exams occur twice every sem (mids and end sems) and the difficulty of exams are pretty moderate (just like PYQs)

from 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements. Accenture, DE Saw... are some of the companies which come to our campus our super seniors are placed with 18 lakhs LPA as average and with 99 percentage of people have placed in various companies My plan is securing a job in a software company

From 7th semester students are eligible for placement. Google , microsoft , jp morgan , adobe , etc visits the campus . Offered made were like 5 to 6 students by each company . Highesg package by Atlassian - 80 LPA And Average package - 15-20 LPA 80% is placement percentage. I am planning to sit for placement in my 7th sem and land a job offer .

Placements are being provide yo us and we are allowed to sit for them from 7th semester. Many Big companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, AWS, Cisco, Wipro, Accenture, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs etc.. which provide a good package of average 24LPA for the role SDE-I. Last year 650/700 students were placed in good companies which is nearly 90% of the total students sat for the placements.

college placements are excellent, i think from 6th semester itself students become eligible. lots of companies like google, amazon, flipkart, zomato, etc etc lots hire the students here after clearing interviews. average package must be 16 lakh per year and highest is 64 lakh so far. and 96% placements. my plans after too continue masters and phd

From 7th semester the students are eligible for the on - campus placements. Many big MNC and many other companies visit our campus overall at the end of the season 600/650 students get almost placed Mostly the companies are from the IT sector and offer an average package of 12 lpa which is a decent amount.

I am intrested in circuits so that's why I chose Electronics and communication engineering.our cource curriculum is decent .it's also useful for anyone who wants to pursue higher studies in core related specifications.there was a lack in implementations of real life applications

The campus placements of nit silchar are good with a placement percentage of 89.40%. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Mastercard, Goldman sachs , samsung , L&T visit our campus.The highest pacakage in 2022-2023 went for 80lpa.

Till now curriculum is easy for 1st year only if he or she studies everyday . Well from my opinion college is about what you want to do . so yeah you might enjoy your first year too if you don't want to change your branch here. Worst thing here is they don't have online system they still use old methods of teaching thats it .
