NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

This institute is an Old establishment It has experienced professors, the campus is very large with lush greenery, sports complex (table tennis, badminton, basket ball, cricket ground, vollyball), gymnasium, good city, cultural activities, good NIRF ranking.

Good environment conditions with large number of of trees and lakes and mountains nearby and with whole year rainy season making good atmosphere throughout the year. Large number of good faculties with huge teaching experience available. Scope of research is very high with large number of dedicated scholars. Good education facility with best library and best transportation facility to reach from home to college and college to city nearby.

NIT Silchar is an institute of national importance in which we get admission based on our ranks in an entrance, so that was the institute I got through the entrance. Morever, it is in the same state as my residence, further the overall NIRF ranking is very good. NIT Silchar ranks 7th among all the NITs in India and the placement statistics is also very good with an average of 7 - 8 LPA for Computer Science graduate.

This college is situated in the lust green area of north east making it a perfect place for studying and healthy life style. Also since it is college of national importance it has weighed quality. The fraternity and administration work with great enthusiasm for the best outcome of the students, Recently it has also been upgrade to 7th Best NIT among the other 31 NIT's, the professor here are highly qualified having field knowledge and imparting to us as best as they can, the intra curricular and extra curricular are properly balanced, as far as of now i am having a happy stay here.

Various programmes are conducted in our college. Teachers are helpful in many ways, and they are professional in their work. Various fields have self-devoted professors. The course curriculum is a bit outdated, but it is a bit helpful in industry work. Faculty members are mediocre, and most of them are above-average

Firstly the institute here(National institute of technology silchar) has good infrastructure as well as good academic record. The institute has grabbed in top 10 among 31 nits. there are good number of placments recorded so far. the institute is spread across 670 acres surrounded by lakes.

I wanted to study in a college that is closer to home. And there is only two enginnering college where it is worthy of studying. One is Indian institute of technology Guwahati and the other one is National institute of technology Silchar. Hence my choice was only two - IIT Guwahati and Nit Silchar. Plus I wanted to study computer science and engineering. But IIT Guwahati requires higher rank in JEE advanced as it is one of the top ranked college in the whole country which I didn't have. so my only option Nit Silchar and that's why.

From CBIT( Engineering college in Telangana) and NIT Silchar, I was left with a choice of choosing one. Being an IIT aspirant I was not satisfied with an EAMCET college and even the rank of NIT Silchar amongst other NIT's is not bad. So, I've taken my decision!

I wanted to study electronics and communication engineering,and with my rank in jee(main),I got the best college for me.From the starting I have a huge interest in communication engg,I wanted to learn and also to code.When my result came at the time of counseling I did search for an college which is able to get me to the companies I wanted to work with.

Best Number in campus Placements of all other NIT's as far I knew at that time.NIT Ranking is good at the time when I joined and it's being improved year by year.It will be a best choice for who will have self interest in studies and also having other strategies of education.
