I liked the campus beauty and the staff over here who are very supportive and the teachera who are ready for yoy every time you go to them and wven the hygine is maintained quite good here
Faculty members in this department are the best atleast i think so, they interact with students in a friendly manner this allows us to freely ask our doubts and gain knowledge.
Tution fee in each year is increased by 10 percent and there are number of scholarships and fee refunds for which a student can apply for after approval of his cirtificates and various other documents.

Dislikes

Hostels - their is not sufficient hostels available for students and hostel mess is very bad. their is no student union available so it is very difficult to make some change in college.
It is not so good as expected because of lack of facilities within the college.but according to social aspects and culture it is good and our nit is lacking infrastructure and this affects campus life too.
It is a very small campus compared to the other nits, the college grounds are very small, and there are no separate buildings for the courses.

Placement Experience:

one of the good things about this college is its placement statistics 10 lpa overall average package, and the average package of IT department is 18 lakhs per anum this is quite good all things considered

The things here I liked was (no ragging) for sure. Because our seniors are too good. they are helpful. There was never any sort of pressure of getting into that stuff.
Another thing was grading system. As already told. It involves relative grading. Not Absolute. So it is quiet easy to get higher CGPA.
Not much to say , but. my hostel. life is going very good , I have got plenty of friends and that's too good for me .

Dislikes

The way our course structure is designed for first years . I mean many irrelevant subjects are there .
Campus size is small I mean this is the worst thing . (One of many)
Mess food is terrible. Once you leave home you are gonna regret shouting at your dinner table :D

Course Curriculum Overview:

In first year , there is not much related to IT sector courses, I mean it is not oriented towards computer knowledge, just like other colleges. Its course structure is distributed like physics, chemistry and all that stuff. It is only from the second year. which I am yet to go , that we will see a proper IT study. Proffessors are quiet good. as they clear every doubt you ask, I mean not all. but most of them.Okk then not much of the courses here are in real world application though, but assuredly they are gonna be top notch from second year onwards(as of my guess). Our course structure is quiet great as we have two semesters each year. And in each semester we get two examinations- Mid Semester Examination and End Semester Examinations . Our marking system is relative. Grading is done on the basis of highest marks obtained in the particular subjects. not by Maximum marks. thats' one of the good things of our college. Else it would have been quiet hectic to study all the stuffs properly.

The improving college..

Likes

I like the fest , the technical fest , like robofest and yearly fest ecleticka
I like the sports activities, they yearly conduct samar.
The seniors is good and no ragging at all

Dislikes

Infrastructure, the hostel limitations, and the hostel food

1 ) the 7 semester makes you eligible for placement. 2) Samsung, Infosys, hcl , amazon and many more .. These are top companies 3 ) the highest package is 55 lakh for it student in tech .....and for ee and ece the package is around 30 lpa 4) above 7 cpi ... 5) Geting a job

Likes

Good amount of clubs and committees for various interests
More number of fests takes places per year which relieves stress
Affordability as number of scholarships and tuition fee waiver is provided

Dislikes

Strictness of professors for fulfilling attendance criteria..
Very less availability of hostel in the campus
Very small campus area also someof what is not constructed

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in our college average package of 12lpa is offered among all branches whereas in higher branches that is cs and it , it is arround 20 lpa . The placement percentage among all branches is arround 85 to 90 percent .. various companies visits our college for sde role , data analyst core etc . The number of offers made in civil branch were 120 for 80 students in 2023..

Placement Experience:

Placements of NIT Raipur is Great, It is one of the best amongst NITs with overall average package of 10LPA we have good placement in both technical and core brancehes. This years highest Package was 62 LPA given by linkedin.

NITRR - From the Students perspective

Likes

The college professors and overall the college curriculum is good.
The Cultural fest itself a great center of attraction of our college.

Dislikes

The college campus is a bit small, there are not enough hostels for students.
There is a criteria of CPI for admission into the hostel every year.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell starts providing internship opportunities form 5 th semester and Placement opportunities from the 7th semester. The companies that visit our college include Adobe, JP morgan, Amazon , Directi, ZS assocaite etc. The highest package goes to around 57 LPA with an average package of 11 LPA. The overall placement percentage goes around 80%.

NIT raipur from the POV of first year student

Likes

Decent placements even for the core branches and very good placements for branches like Metallurgy/mining.
No toxic teachers faculties or lab staff ,everyone is supportive and understanding
The peer group is also surprisingly good

Dislikes

Closest shop for basic items is almost 1.5km from the hostel
First year boys are only allowed to go outside of the hostel only upto 9:00 PM
Hostel accommodation not for everyone ..

Placement Experience:

Placements are surprisingly good for Core branches like Elec Mech and civil , and very good for CSE/IT/ECE ,the placement percentage is also very good for almost every branch , and the overall avg package of the college is more than 10lpa which is pretty decent.

Likes

It is good for placements, also placement cell is very helpf.
Good sports facility, you get many opportunities to represent yourself.
Good academic facility, there are many good proffessors

Dislikes

I disliked college campus, it is not that much good
There is no night life in the campus, you can not get out of your hostel after 10.30 pm
Also there is no night canteen, you have to crave for food at night.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are decent, many companies comes in our college and hires almost 90 percent from particular cse branch. Students are eligible for internships from 5th semester and eligible for placements from 6th semester itself. Some companies that visited our college are, deustche bank, adobe microsoft, deshaw etc. Highest package a student got here was of 65 lakhs
